When will we get a first trailer? probably comic con? Or as a follow up for a summer blockbuster

I just want Fox to lose the rights, so that marvel can put it to better use and do more cross over stuff.
 
They all grow up in an orphanage, Johnny protects Sue, get adopted together, so does everyone else, they stay in touch..yadda..yadda, climax of the movie is the Female Doom is a mother to to one of them.

Ask for her child to join her, she/he says no. FF for lyfe, Cue fight scene, Doom is defeated.

For real though, I can't imagine a fantastic 4 movie being good. However I said the same thing about The Hulk, and The Incredible Hulk with Ed Norton was fantastic..sooo....
 
Every few years Hollywood arbitrarily picks a new everyman's average white guy to cheaply fill out the most milquetoast roles for characters between 18 and 30, then unceremoniously dumps them once their resume bulks up too much to acquire them at a bargain basement price. Miles Teller has officially joined the ranks of ordained Hollywood blandness and now stands beside other legendary icons of boredom such as Justin Long, Shia LeBeouf, and Tobey McGuire. Congratulations, Miles.
 
Wait, aren't Sue Storm and Johnny Storm supposed to be brother and sister? Or is there some comic book where they're not related? I didn't even know they were making a new Fantastic Four.
 
Kate Mara already chopped her locks and dyed it blonde like the week prior so it's not surprising lol.

But she can do better than this franchise especially one that's owned by 20th Century Fox that'll only lead to a Hugh Jackman team up at best.

I don't have much faith in this movie, but this is exactly why he is my favourite bit of casting here. I can see it now:

"Yeah, sure like the guy with the 247 IQ is gonna take advice from the guy with the 192 IQ. Yeah, that's totally gonna happen. I'm Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic 4. Look it up. Who's ever even heard of you?"

Reed's going to be the biggest douche to ever douche a douche, and I'm going to love him for it.

They could share a mom, or share a dad, or be step-siblings, or one is adopted by the others birth parent, or vice versa, or they're BOTH adopted by someone who isn't blood related to EITHER of them.

For a comic book that is often about exploring the concept of family in ways that aren't classic/typical, that Sue & Johnny could be be different races seems to be a really silly stumbling block

Imagine if they had made Sue Storm black and played the interracial angle with Reed Richards as well. Seems like you can only have one black person on the team though.

Anyways will have to reserve judgment on the other cast. Who owns the rights to Fantastic Four? Fox?
 
Well Corman can rest well knowing that his will not be the shittiest nor version to grace a screen.
(And Rise tried hard to take it, it really did)
 
I don't mind a black human torch, but why make the Storms mixed race half/step siblings?

The whole thing feels like it was put together by a left wing focus group, especially with the rumours about Doom maybe being female.
 
Kate Mara is the only upgrade. Chiklis and Evans were the best part of the two FF movies. They could have removed all the other characters/threats, and had a sitcom.

Sue and Johnny not being related by blood is an awful change. Reed not being middle age is a terrible, terrible idea. Only way they can save this is to cast Mads Mikkelsen as Doom.

Edit: SMH if they go with the Ultimates, shitty Ultimate Doom was half the problem with the first set of films.

I don't question the talent of any of the cast as actors. But I do question if they are right for the roles.

we can just avoid changes which aren't really needed.
 
Hopefully this stalls in production or something. Marvel must get the rights back. I need Doom and Surfer in the MCU, dammit. :(
