I'm not saying that it would. There's a certain otaku audience that really likes analyzing how things work, but the reason why I think the mechanics would interfere here is because of what kind of story is trying to be told. The show is structuring itself in such a way that that the way the game is played isn't as important as the win/loss record of the characters and what it means for their wishes. The axe hanging over their head is of greater importance than whatever method is cutting that axe. It could be a flame, it could be sabotage, but what's important is that it's cut.Is there a reason that you believe that the inclusion of actual TCG mechanics precludes a show from being able to appeal to an adult/otaku audience?
They probably think it would be redundant to explain the rules since viewers can just learn them by playing the TCG. IIRC, it was more justified with stuff like Yu-gi-oh because a physical card game wasn't available until much later.
Still kind of dumb though.
So there's a Fate Zero abridged parody. I thought it was TFS at first lol.
You really do love the crap out of Fate/Zero don't you, like it's your bread and bone. Shit I really have to start it once I finish the Fate/Stay Night VN.
Huh.Fate/Zero is among my top 5 favorite anime.

It is possible that the whole "dont explain any of the rules!" is intentional. The show is interesting enough to watch on its own. But not knowing the rules is maddening. And what is the best way to figure out the rules? Well go look them up. And that would get you looking at the product ideally.
Interestingly, there are posts online floating around that explain (mechanically) is happening during each battle, including pointing out when the show skips over turns and such.
Huh.
That's really something.huh what?
Unless you are Fate/Zero, not really. More than anything I find it surprising that even of what's modern Fate/Zero would stand out as something to be held up among classic work within the medium.I'm pretty sure I'm being silently judged. And for an anime as well like as this, that is quite something.
That spot is reserved for I Can't Believe My Sister Can't Believe that I Play 'I Can't Believe My Sister Can Be this Cute' Which Coincidentally Makes her Very Cute and I Can't Believe It.
Doesn't he like Psycho Pass? That's kind of another Urobuchi work. Makes sense! lolUnless you are Fate/Zero, not really. More than anything I find it surprising that even of what's modern Fate/Zero would stand out as something to be held up among classic work within the medium.
Well no. "Hentai" is used as both a noun/insult to call someone a pervert and also a descriptor for that genre of anime. Translation depends on the context of whatever it is 99% of the time.
Oh, and the $1 Blind Box item I got from RightStuf turned out to be this -- the first volume of ADV's Saint Seiya release, with an artbox designed to hold the first four volumes. At least it wasn't from the middle of a series!
It also still has a Best Buy sales clearance sticker on it.

Yes I enjoy Urobuchi. And Psycho-Pass. I find myself enjoying shows based on my tastes and not because the AnimeGAF hate-watch crew tells me I should like it. If we're getting confessions out of the way I also enjoy Attack on Titan. Pretty sure I've made that clear here.
Since when is Urobuchi looked down upon? Jesus.
Either ways moving on who was it that recommended Nozaki-kun? Dresden right? I've caught up with it. Definitely looking forward to the anime. While not 'laugh out loud' hilarious as Ore Monogatari, it definitely has a great cast of characters.
Have you seen From The New World? You really should watch it.
B) Since when has liking Fate/Zero been a controversial opinion? *scratches head*
Yes I have. It was fantastic. There were points near the end I personally had lost interest and started to skip around episodes, but it was like the last 1-2 episodes. I'm still sadthey got rid of my two favorite characters
A) I'm glad the Season 2 announcement of GBF is causing more people to check out Season 1. I have no idea where they'll take Season 2 though.

Yeah it was pretty incredible overall. Kind of inconsistent with a few details but what story isnt? The atmosphere of foreboding throughout was unmatched. It was so thoroughly creepy from beginning to end. My friend is now finding this out but we had to stop at episode 9just as Shun was sent to disappear and the truth behind black cats was discovered
Actually thats not what made me check out S1. I already was. My checking out S1 made S2 happen you see!
It hasn't ever been and I'm confused as well. Has there been a new movement of hipster anime watching that has deemed it bad? Should I be buying Pabst Blue Ribbon so I can hear the arguments?

I guess Psycho-Pass butchered Gen Urobuchi's reputation so badly that it retroactively made Fate/Zero not good.
Clannad 10
In her defense, though not a single female character introduced in this show has shown any signs of intelligence at all so far. It's like Tomoya landed on the planet of giant eyed, sentient, unintelligbly weeping cockroach people or something.

"I am so smart I don't have to go to class!" Which means, of course, "I am so fucking dumb I cannot execute basic human functions."

edit: I still liked Gargantia. Annoying squirrel and fan service aside.
I loved that little squirrel *hugs it and protects it from the big bad wolf
