I play quite a lot of Starcraft 2, and the routine maintenance is a Wednesday night/Thursday morning 3am-6am (iirc) for the European server.

WoW did it with their PvP. The gear acquired would be the same "gear level" (their version of Light) as the Raid gear, but with upgrades focused on Crucible/PvP.

They really dropped the ball on that. Not everyone wants to raid.

I fully support this. Having a super hard time getting a group of people on 360 to do the Raid. Going into Iron Banner mostly solo would be ridiculously painful and grindy, but at least doable. Give people who do the Raid awesome cosmetic stuff or something, but gatekeeping a character Level behind full Raid gear sucks for everyone not doing Raids.

You are very fortunate that Blizzard EU apparently has their shit together. US Blizzard maintenance times start at I think 5 am PST which is 8am EST :/

I can only imagine the expletives that would fly your way if voicechat was enabled and you went and succeeded in getting A.

On a serious note, not for the trolls, but for those who legit do it because they think they're helping, it sucks that we can't explain why capping A is the stupidest thing you could do on Blind Watch due to no voicechat.

At least there's new legendary weapons to get this time (besides the one Queen's sniper). I really don't understand why the Queen sold rare weapons...

I play as sunsinger and the revive is amazing, especially in PVE, but I don't think it needs a PVP nerf. So many of the specials are instant kill buttons. You can get a ton of grenade kills with the special, and make a cap point really dangerous... but then again a voidwalker or titan can smash kill everyone in the area in a second.

What stops someone from just going AFK during Crucible to rack up on weekly Crucible points?

I'm not a huge fan of Crucible, mainly because you get grouped by light level and not skill (and I'm pretty bad), so half the time I do pretty good, and half the time the other team has some guy who goes around one-shotting everyone and it becomes frustrating as they are much better than you.

I just want the trophy.

That happened to me as well, I came across a level 10 who I melee'd two times with the super Titan Striker punch and he killed me in one hit. I'm a damn level 29 with 1337 defense. >_>

I'm not sure if I got a clip but last week I also melee'd someone who then killed me with a shotgun point black. Then I saw him from my Ghosts perspective walk down the corridor a good 4-5 seconds later then he just dropped dead on the floor. Then the score board showed I'd killed him with a melee.

I had the same reaction. Usually blizzard games are down every Tuesday all day... And most of the time they extend the maintenance period halfway through lol

I'm not :( I'm ok with being out played but not out gunned which is what it comes down to. I feel like I'm using a pee shooter. I'll out play some one start unloading and...instant killed no matter the range

But you don't need to go past 28 for anything but the Hard mode Raid. Why would they give out Raid gear for people who have no interest in it? There's literally no point, unless you absolutely must hit the max level for whatever reason.

I have Shadow of Mordor installed now. Want to play a lot of it tonight but I also want at least my Nightfall complete and to get my Warlock to 20. lol.

So I'm completely maxed out on Blade Dancer. I've got gear that compliments my play style. Here are some facts:

1) I seem to die a lot. I could probably stand to be more careful.
2) I've not maxed out Golden Gun yet. I'm working on it.
3) I play PvE 99.9% of the time.
4) I've not raided and honestly probably can't really dependably make the time commitment. I've got a lot of shit happening that means I can't give a game constant 100% attention and it wouldn't be fair to others.
5) I really only play with my brother and gaffers.
6) I do a lot of solo play.

So I've got all legendaries and two exotics I use, Super Good Advice and Lucky Raspberry.

Anyways, given these parameters does anyone have any good build recommendations? I've tried all the invisibility shit, and that's cool, but it seems like I'm REALLY sacrificing some important shit by enabling it.

I'm open minded though, and am willing to experimenting. With the way enjoy Destiny would I be better served with Golden Gun or Blade Dancer? So far GG seems kinda shitty. When I spec it to refresh at a decent clip it's cool but I miss all the badass shit in my Blade Dance spec.

Great questions! Here's my general advice.
  • First thing you need to do is stop thinking about it in terms of "choosing" Bladedancer or Gunslinger. Finish maxing out Gunslinger. It's useful in PvE when you're forced to fight from distance, when there's a Solar Burn (Golden Gun will wreck this week's Nightfall), for one-shotting Oracles in the raid (you'll know what this means when the time comes), and for taking out other specific non-boss targets. Bladedancer's Arc Blade is great for clearing trash mobs (adds), but useless when Lightswitch modifier is active and against bosses. However, the stealth from Stalker is invaluable in Strikes (especially Nightfalls) for stealth resurrection and ammo runs, and the Arc grenade is fantastic during Arc burns. You'll want to switch subclass frequently as the situation demands to contribute to your fireteam, and especially for solo play (skipping huge chunks of strikes via stealth, taking out easy targets from afar with GG, etc.) this is critical.
  • Super Good Advice isn't that great for the moment, but Lucky Raspberry is a great first exotic to build around. It does compliment SGA, but I think a better build would involve a great exotic/legendary Fusion Rifle to take advantage of its upgrades. Plan C would be the obvious choice, the resulting build an Arc powerhouse; make sure to equip Arcbolt grenades when on Bladedancer for the full effect. Do you have any other exotic bounties? What legendary weapons have you got so far?
  • You may be able to find a raid group doing, for example, and hour a night over the course of a week rather than 4 hours a night. There are a number of checkpoints.
  • For solo play, an exotic primary of your favored weapon type will make a huge difference.
