I did, without sound.
2015, and Aonuma seems to be quite confident about it.

That's a premature statement to make, since there's no way we can asure is that way or the other. Seems like you are reacting to the typical, "it has lots of empty space" when discussing Zelda overworlds with actual land masses.
And that's it, it looks like a Zelda game with a bigger overworld like we alreaddy have in many many games.
At this stage in time im not impressed, i was hoping for them to show an integral mechanic or a clever use of the controller and we got nothing of the sort.
Visually speaking is already the most impressive WIi U title and the animation (at least for Link) exceeds what i expected.
re-re-confirmed for 2015. Miyamoto also said star fox would release even before zelda (which is obvious, as it makes zelda november 2015 and star fox sept/oct)
The horses look great, love the way the manes bounce. I need a field FULL of wild horses.
Gimmicks everywhere?Gimmicks. Stupid gimmicks everywhere.
I'm holding off my hype for this one because it really didn't look anything special, but I sincerely hope they can deliver!
Gimmicks everywhere?
People are in for huge disappointment if you think tons of shit is going to be added to that world within a year. The last 6 months of dev from what I've read is dealing with tech shit, getting fps down, glitches etc. But the main content of the game is done already by that point.
I mean we'll see but it's not surprising people were underwhelmed. If you're gonna show gameplay show quests and stuff, if you're gonna show just tech demo shit then you're better off with a trailer instead.
I'm so glad they showed it, they seem pretty confident it'll be in 2015. I STILL DONT BELIEVE.
Star Fox before the game too? wow. Wii U got some 2015 if true.
My main concern is still the same, though. Overworld seemed very empty and devoid of much interesting, like the Twilight Princess world. Twilight Princess was one of my favorite Zelda games still, but overworld was not a highlight. So I hope they figure out a good balance in this Zelda game, because the snippets of gameplay sort of emphasized the issue for me. Did not seem captivating.

2015 is nice!
Will it make it on time though?

Incredible looking visuals. I can't wait to see some direct feed stuff if they put it on the eShop.
Makes you wonder what Nintendo could have been doing visually if they spent money on a beefier GPU and CPU instead of the gamepad cost, and just used a Gamecube pad or pro controller as the default.
So the horse will go autopilot to the destination and you have to wait for minutes doing nothing?
wat
Wind Waker 2 confirmed.

Expect to be hated for these comments but whatever.
Looks very plain, visually. The 'open' world he is riding around in is some of the lowest detail I've seen in an open world in a long time. Almost Zelda 64 quality. One type of tree repeated every few blocks, chunky low poly rock formations and the only decently detailed areas were narrow paths.
LOD and frame rate looked iffy when he zoomed in and controlled the view with the tablet.
Eek.
Looks good and is probably the reason I'll get the Wii U. But I'm sure it's been mentioned the ground and mountainside textures are awful. Maybe they'll Polish it up before release but Nintendo has gotten away with a lot of games with simple textures due to the art style but I don't think that's working here with Zelda.

Miyamoto: Are you sure this is a Wii U release for next year?
Aonuma: Yes, all the staff members are working together and doing their best. And what about your star fox title?
Miyamoto: Star fox [laughs], you're asking me that now? No worries about star fox
Aonuma: Oh, that's good news
Miyamoto: Star fox will arrive before the legend of zelda next year.
Aonuma: And before that comes out, we'll release majora's mask
Why didn't they make a video showing gameplay directly with their voices behind, and focusing them just when they show the map at the gameplay, instead of recording them playing the game? Everyone would have appreciated the game better.
Ya that overworld looked really bland and sparse.
I don't need a large overworld, I need density in my games.

Calm down. I know they will work on it and mention that in my post. That doesn't take away from the fact at my second viewing the the game there are horrible low res textures.Yatōkiri_Kilgharrah;141968170 said:... Every time people do this with one of the initial trailers of a nintendo game and by the time the thing is released it looks 3x better.

When will you people learn?
( Besides nintendo hasnt gotten away with simple textures. They can push their systems because they're very efficient when it comes to resource management)

That was great.
Drop that wii u to 200 and ill probably buy one for this game alone.
