New Smash Bros. amiibo wave + New amiibo series announced

The Super Mario line looks so much nicer. A benefit of using good positions.

But Smash line will be the only way to get a Wario Ware Wario.
 
Lucina and Robin will be mine...btw, I'm SO GLAD that they confirmed that the different versions of the same characters don't have differences in terms of playability. I will use my Smash Mario in Mario Party 10
 
Well, time to preorder as soon as their up. The smash series set anyway. For the Super Mario just Toad for me...maybe Peach too...

Bit I hope it is, that Peach amiibo looks much better than the first one.
 
I gotta get Lucina, Pac Man, and Ness. Also maybe Robin. And Charizard. BUT NO MORE.

The Super Mario amiibos are pretty lame compared to their Smash counterparts. The Captain Toad amiibo interaction also seemed a bit underwhelming.
 
My wallet...my poor fucking wallet. Have mercy. Getting all the Smash ones apart from Wario, fuck Wario. Might get New Peach, looks awesome.
 
I like the Mario series bowser mroe than I do the smash one but I bet thats a bs one. Anyways, robin, pac, ness, ahd charizard for me.

They do look nicer, but it may be because you see those Smash poses EVERYWHERE for promotional uses, so it gets stale.

Seems like scalpers will now have to aim for Amiibos that have low chances of getting additional functions in upcoming games.

Hopefully Nintendo keeps this trend going.

That Rosalina scalper's decision has become a lot less viable thanks to this, lol.
 
It was rumored that the next set of amiibo would be fore Mario Party. I guess it was correct.

Seems like these amiibo are targeting games that are social. So Mario Part was inevitable. I wonder what the next line up will be.

Also Nintendo is getting closer to being the so called "Toy Company" that they wanted. Just some more manufacturing plants and they'll be really big in the future.

Also scalpers no scalping. Good to see the return of Marth, now we just need Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer's return.
 
Will grab Toad from the Super Mario series. Kinda wish I waited on Mario and Luigi as I think those poses are better. Nice to hear that even though Amiibo only hold data for one game at a time they can go cross game.
 
So, what exactly does the Toad amiibo do for Captain Toad? I really feel like I missed something, because all I saw was mention of a little digital toad being hidden in levels...

To be fair, an NFC chip can only store so much data. Disney Infinity & Skylanders can get away with multiple games because those games are within their own respective franchises & require the same kind of data from their figures.
 
Wario and Pac Man will complete the collection of Amiibos I wanted. I think my obsession will be done then unless we get third party (FF/DQ) Amiibos.
 
I'm done with Amiibos until they make them easier to get. Hunting down the ones you want is way too time consuming.
 
I'm going to preorder two Nesses, one to use and put out, one to keep in a box for collector purposes. No shame, he looks amazing. Probably won't get any of the others. Well, maybe Lucina.

nah i think bowser's pose looks GREAT in smash 4, one of my favorite renders, its just the transition into an amiibo doesn't do it justice so if i had to pick I'd go for the more classic bowser from the mario series(that is going on the assumption that the bowser one will be a 1:1 to what they showed in the direct). Also the mario series one have the edge cause they got better poses that don't require support.
 
I might get my first Amiibo with the Mario + Mario Party 10 pack... well depending on how good the game reviews I guess.

What's the cost to manufacturer an NFC chip? Sorry, I'm clueless in regards to NFC. If it's a bit expensive, one per Amiibo makes sense I guess. But if they are cheap, they should include atleast 2 per figure.

Including 2 chips would cause wireless interference between the two chips when placed on the GamePad, & adding the ability to turn off one chip to turn on the other would drive the price up if the fact that there are 2 chips inside isn't doing that already.

I just stopped hunting and preorder now. Even that isn't a guarantee as ToysRUs and Target have utterly fucked up preorders for the exclusive figures. I'm expecting TRU to cancel my Lucario any day now.
 
I hope Nintendo makes an Amiibo channel for Wii U/3ds were you can save your Amiibo data and read/write it they can also have it were you get a little lobby with 3d versions of your Amiibo doing stuff.
