Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

It's weird how much deep lore is in this game just from reading the research notes. Like they weirdly make reference to
Adam and Eve but replace them with tentacles.

All of that can happen in this game too lol. It's worse though in the sense that you would have to play with randoms.

But to be honest, joining and leaving is so easy that you should try anyways. I'm kinda glad there is no spectating cause it helps in that being possible. If you happen to join a full room, you can leave immediately. And try another friend or join a random lobby.
I'm definitely going to try since I've made it clear to Greg how much I want to splat him out of love. <3

If you haven't played singleplayer I strongly recommend it. You'll see some of the future maps and why we don't have them at the moment. The grate placement in the next maps are going to be crucial. Might as well get used to it now, and it doesn't hurt the single player is fantastic.

My best score yet partnered up with my worst team yet :/ (obviously I'm Tom)
I dominated on walleye warehouse and it actually ended up kinda close but sadly due to my team we lost :( just imagine how many points I would have had if we'd got the win.
Also how does someone kill 3 people but not get any points?

Probably got some kills then disconnected. Disconnecting zeros your score from what I've heard.

This game is great. Single player is real fun. It feels as if they mixed Mario sunshine and galaxy together. In fact I wouldn't be surprised of this started out as some type of Mario multiplayer mode they were trying to come up with.

It didnt. If you read iwata asks it started as multiplayer with tofus (changed to humans, rabbits and then squid-humans) with then a singleplayer build around those mechanics. They director of the game also said he didnt even thought once about super mario sunshine and in his answer he seems wasnt to fond of that game either.

yeah I noticed that as well. makes the map rollout seem like a way of introducing everyone to the mechanics of the game and then expanding upon them in later maps. kind of justifies their decision, in my opinion. classic Nintendo design, in the maps we have now there are grates but if you squid over them there's safe ground underneath to fall to. like in the mall or the warehouse. but soon there will be grates with nothing under them, like on the camp map. so if you squid over them you'll just fall into water and die. they're introducing the mechanic in a safe environment first and then expanding upon it later. pretty cool if you ask me.

Oh wow, is that how it works? Is this in a guide?
The official one I bought to save me from slitting my wrists while I'm stuck at a con. Unlike their shitty Pokemon guides, this one is really technical. Here's a list (5x chance compared to other abilities):

Firefin: Ink Saver (Sub)
Forge: Special Duration Up
Inkline: Defense Up
Krak-On: Swim Speed Up
Rockenburg: Run Speed Up
Skalop: Quick Respawn
Splash Mob: Ink Saver (Main)
SquidForce: Damage Up
Takoroka: Special Charge Up
Tentatek: Ink Recovery Up
Zekko: Special Saver
Zink: Quick Super Jump

The brands I didn't list have no preference. There are also uncommon abilities for the above brands but who cares about those? That and I need to rush to the last program I'm seeing today at this Dr.Who con, then we're going home.

I just realized that Judd give you a reward according to the highest vibe you got, and not the current one. Anyway, good game all of you, I think I will stop for today

So I've tried to move away from rollers now. Just set a personal best 1100 (non-win-assisted) with the aerospray.

I still might enjoy rollers more though.

I have a blank room open, just little ile me waiting! I guess the GAF room DC'd cause I was trying to connect to it and it sent me to an empty lobby lol

I hate when someone calls an ink strike as time expires. Lost a couple matches that way.

I do that to the other team's base at the last second. :D I'm also the type of guy with a Jet Squelcher who lobs his ink to places where my team can't get to.

How trollish am I playing?
