Funny enough, Prime Hunters was one of the first Nintendo games to support voice chat, if not the actual first.
The saddest of all realities if this has no Voice Chat.

Has anyone taken the time to watch the Treehouse segment? Has it changed your opinion at all? I went from BLASPHEMY FUCK NINTENCUNT BASTARDS to a stage of acceptance and ultimately to the point of thinking it's got the potential to be quite fun.
.
This shows my issue with the game, primarily how the showcased it during the Digital Event. If they had shown the game as in-depth as they did for Yoshi I don't think it would have garnered as much hate as it has.

The game doesn't look good to me at all, and I did see the treehouse. That said, the reason it has 50,000 dislikes isn't really because it's necessarily bad in its own right. The reason it has 50,000 dislikes is because people have been wanting a real Metroid for many years and this resembles in no way a real Metroid. It may be a good Blastball game, but it's not a good Metroid game or a Metroid game at all.
I'm curious. If you're Nintendo and the official trailer of your game has 50,000 dislikes and counting, is it worse PR to just leave it alone, or pull the video?
Totally worse to pull it. If Nintendo wants this to sell, they need confidence and need to convince people.
Someone mentioned about how Yoshi got forever minutes and a dev diary. They really need to put some shit together to convince people this game isn't garbage.

Of course I'm looking forward to the next Super/Prime/Whatever Metroid game. I just don't think this is quite as horrific as the initial reaction we all had. Honestly, if it were out now I'd probably scoop it up from Best Buy after work. I came to a better understanding after watching the Treehouse segment.
Again, I don't think the core problem is that it's necessarily garbage, the core problem is that people want a Metroid game and no PR spin will ever convince them that what they're seeing is the Metroid they've been wanting for years. Because it just factually isn't. MP, cartoony graphics, silly tone rather than isolated tone. It's not what they want.
Exactly. Next Level Games knows how to make shit work. They've added Multiplayer into both Punch Out and Luigi's Mansion, games that were previously solo only experiences, and now they're doing something new with a step into a Multiplayer focused game. I have full faith they're going to do something great, rather than bitch and moan because we didn't get Prime 4 by RetroIt's not happening and Metroid Dread isn't happening either let your pipe dream rumours die already damn it
Do you know the time?I think they're playing this on the Treehouse again today.

Pretty much. Online co-op Metroid Prime boss fights. Which sounds pretty good to me.I think I'll actually enjoy this game a lot. Just watched the treehouse footage, and it feels very metroid prime in the game play department. Like a boss rush of sorts.
Im someone who does think it actually looks pretty good for what it is. I even suspect I know why they went with the art style they did (garbage 3ds ppi in na) and I am Ok with that decision on art style.
And Im still pissed for the exact reasons listed in this post.
To be completely honest I can't wait for this game to completely bomb so Nintendo knows not to pull crap like this ever again.
That's about all I have to say about Metroid Prime Fedora Force.
Easier to make fun of the game when you can make fun of the name.I think this game looks terrible, but I don't even know what that means.

I don't want this game. But I'm worried that it will flop, and Nintendo in their infinite wisdom will think "Oh, people don't want Metroid then".

My main interest at this point is in seeing the range of mission variety and also how progression works (if there is loot, etc). What we've seen of weapons/sub-weapons has me very curious.
I'm coming off of playing 300 hours of MH4U so far this year, so I am very curious about what this will end up being. They could have a very addictive product if they can execute the formula properly.
I
Garlador didn't compare Federation Force to Four Swords.
Tanabe is talking about the game in the tree house right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXFeuxiL1F0
I think the backlash has made it pretty clear they are mad because it's not a PROPER metroid game or even a metroid game at all really.I don't want this game. But I'm worried that it will flop, and Nintendo in their infinite wisdom will think "Oh, people don't want Metroid then".

I don't know what everyone is smoking. The game looks like a lot of fun to me.
Is it confirmed that you can use the touch screen to look around instead of the nub?
Is there supposed to be a single player separate from the multiplayer co-op missions? I assume that single player will simply consist of AI taking control of the three other characters in the same missions.Game looks good, people as always hating without knowing.
Just needs a good single player and lots of lore to open up the universe.

I think someone heard Tanabe saying he's had this idea for this side-story in the Metroid Prime universe for many years now. So it just sounds like he's finally got to do it.
