All they need to do is say that he's from the future and is related to one of the X-Men giving some hints, no need to go further than that.
And not to necessarily start looking to the horizon already on this momentous weekend, but I have to imagine this success bodes extremely well for the other outside-of-the-box superhero blockbuster this year. No, Civil War and BvS are not outside-of-the-box
Eh, Deadpool's got a huuuuuge built-in fanbase that've been waiting for a movie like this for years. Suicide Squad is a little less well-known, so it's gonna have to rely more on a good marketing campaign. And not to necessarily start looking to the horizon already on this momentous weekend, but I have to imagine this success bodes extremely well for the other outside-of-the-box superhero blockbuster this year. No, Civil War and BvS are not outside-of-the-box
R-rated Wolverine needs to happen...
Cable is a nightmare to do on screen because explaining who he is requires a PHD in marvel literature.
The only way to do it would be with a completely different character from scratch that is cable in name only...and really, who wants that
Wasn't he very excited about the role too?
Does this movie take place in the same universe as DoFP and Apocalypse or is it left vague?
Ryan deserves it, he fought for this movie and it's paying off,
Bring on Old Man Logan.lol if that happens with that fucked up storyline.
No need to. They make the safe movies and the closest thing you possibly get is the Netflix shows.

Wonder how Marvel will respond to this success. Which IP's they can use to make a R rated film? Daredevil and Punisher is stuck on Netflix. Maybe a Nextwave film?
Does this mean there is still hope for Taylor Kitsche?
Blade or MoonKnightThey could bring Blade back. He seems like the easiest choice now they have the rights back. Or they could take the risk on a hard R Ghost Rider reboot. But Blade seems like an easier sell to an audience.

Blade or MoonKnight
Very nice. This film needs to be a success.
Hopefully we'll see more studios take some risks on their superhero IP.
There is a lot of hype around him now and they can tie it into Black Panther tooOh true, Moon Knight could be pretty crazy. I wonder if that's a property they'll ever explore?

and people thought this would bomb. lol
Deadpool is a risky superhero now?
This movie works because it is not mainstream, it would be horrible if it was changed over to a family friendly ratingIf this does really well, is there a chance that they will throw money at the next one and make it more mainstream?
"Of course it would bomb, he's only popular in the dying comicbook world no way he'll blow up in popularity mainstream wise!" Which is what they were saying. That crow eating.
Deadpool is a risky superhero now?
Considering it took Fox ten years to make this out of fear that it would bomb and it was only after footage leaked that they green lit it, then yeah at the very least it was considered risky.Deadpool is a risky superhero now?

As a non-comic fan I had never heard of Deadpool until Wolverine and forgot about him soon after, when you factor in it's R rating, then yes its a risk relative to other comic book movies.

Fuckin Athis crazy golden age of superhero movie/tv shows will continue.
"We need more R rated movies"
There's fuckin tons of em. You just don't watch em.
"No one knows the Guardians, too unknown."
"LOL Antman, too weird."
"Deadpool? Too niche."
Same old song and dance.
I would expect Moon Knight to get a Netflix show before a movie.Oh true, Moon Knight could be pretty crazy. I wonder if that's a property they'll ever explore?
