The DF analysis of UC4 and TF2 is very disappointing. 1440p?
Pretty good for Titanfall running at solid 60fps. Uncharted 4 is disappointing and I see why Sony wasn't really promoting it as Pro showpiece.

They didn't promise anything, but Cerny has said Naughty Dog is looking into different/new rendering techniques for their Pro update. That makes it seem like they're working on something more substantial than this relatively basic Pro support package.People have been saying ND promised a better UC4 update in the future.
Is there any source/truth to that?
Tf2 will look great in 1440/60
Don't forget previous was around 900

Also, there's still single-player DLC to come so many (including myself) believe that expanded support will drop around that time.

The new rendering technique is the 1440p res that we are seeing. They were using checkerboard rendering before, but they ended up scrapping it. This is all acording to DF's video.

Didn't see that yet. But that's.....surprising and underwhelming. What's new about that?
And the world's biggest PlayStation podcast spreads a lot of negativity about the "unforced error" Pro. So what, it doesn't neccessarily mean Push Square publishes lies. He just said the noise of the Slim when a Blu-ray spins in drive is annoying him, maybe he got a faulty drive there. With just the hard drive spinning, he called the Pro comparable to the Slim. Doesn't sound extremely far fetched to me, and it wasn't a scientific measurement, maybe just a bit overexcited for the clicks.Push square is a PlayStation only brand website.
¯\_(ツ_/¯ maybe there's something going on under the hood that we don't know about.
Edit: Here is my source btw [4K] Let's Play: Uncharted 4 PS4 Pro Gameplay + Initial Analysis
It should be, but it's definitely there. Whether it's running at a variable resolution, but higher, I have no idea. I'll do some screenshots later of what I mean
If Op is not mature enough to even provide neutral descriptive links to reviews, we'll be glad to give the thread responsibility to someone else
We have a 4K HDR TV, but no PS4 Pro for me. Got the One S instead, because of it's UHD Blu-ray support.

Push square is a PlayStation only brand website. Is it not reasonable to think there may be a little bias. Im wondering how come it's included at all. Maybe I'm wrong but I find it very strange that this is the first person that actually says it's a lot more quiet than any other PlayStation.
Never said it was using the full power of the Pro. It's the fact that it is indeed clocking down from a higher state that it will not be a 1:1 exact thing.Your wrong, dude. Games need a patch to do anything with the power of the Pro, period. BF1 very likely has support already. The CPU and GPU both match the speeds of a regular PS4 when running an unpatched game.
How many times do people need to be told this. We have had the initial leak, Digital Foundry, and god damn Mark Cerny himself say that there will be NO performance boosts of any kind with an unpatched game.
You literally state what happens for base mode, but GPU, CPU, and RAM changes do not equal to the EXACT power of the PS4 when clocking down. It will be a minor difference, wherein Battlefield 1 for instance can sustain 1080p more often than it does on vanilla PS4 (which does happen).Unfortunately this is completely wrong. PS4 Pro reduces all it's clock speeds and disables all the extra stuff when running in base mode. Performance will be exactly the same as on OG PS4.

Pro comes out in 2 days and still, next to comparison videos, screens and articles. No hard drive tests. I'm underwhelmed.
Wouldn't a post like this go in the Xbox One S OT thread? Did you accidentally post it in here or something because this is the review thread lol.
Can someone who already has a Pro and Battlefield 1 post up comparison screenshots between the Pro version and the normal version so we can see if it came with Pro support built in like TitanFall did?
Apparently Titanfall didn't require a patch and is ready for the Pro right off the disc.
If you set your ps4 as 4k then everything will be soft upscaled to your tv. In the end your 4k tv can only show in 1 resolution only
Pretty confused here. I don't remember where, but yesterday I read that BF1 is now native 1080p with a framerate that is much more stable that stays real close to 60fps all the time. Which version was that then?
This sucks.
I sold my PS4 a month ago because I was so excited. Now, 2 days out I have zero excitement. I was hoping this would feel like a new console launch for me. This has been handled so poorly. If fans like us are meh about it you know the general public does not give a single fuck.

what you are saying here is exact opposite of what Digital Foundry has shown. This is not "Pro" mode for BF1. It's just slight increase in performance as BF1 has dynamic resolution. People thinking there will be 0 difference running unpatched PS4 games in the Pro seem to not comprehend how hardware works. Then we have those that spam the 1-3fps boost *some* games get on Xbox One S as some gigantic reason the PS4 Pro is bad.
FuuuuUUU @ lack of SSD benches :/

Unpached game on PS4 and PS4 Pro has same performance and same FPS drops.

Unpached game on Xbox One S has significantly better performance and less FPS drops than Xbox One.

SFV Pro patch would be nice, maybe we'll get something from Capcom at next month's 2016 PSX Capcom tournament

Kind of a random yet still related question.
I've always noticed Bloodborne looked softer, yet had less aliasing on my friend's TV (which is 720p only). Was that because considering Bloodborne was a 1080p game, that it was in effect supersampling down to his 720p display?
Yes.Kind of a random yet still related question.

It is a shame that due to no info on this game I might cancel my preorder. This is what I am playing at the moment and I am not interested in any "old" games which I already forgot.
Things are getting even more confusing related to that patch as shown here.
EU blog : BF1 is in the list:

US blog : BF is not present:

Are we even getting a patch for BF1 :/ ?
Got a PS4 pro today and it says on the press release that Battlefield 1 is available to play from launch (10th)
Yup. Very few games change their actual framebuffer to the resolution ouput. Last example I remember was GT6 which allowed for a more stable framerate in 720p mode.
somebody told me this on twitter..
"Got a PS4 pro today and it says on the press release that Battlefield 1 is available to play from launch (10th)"
Reading and watching these reviews, it's clear that this isn't for me. I wanted the push to get a PS4 and I was super excited for it. Now all the hype is gone. I'll probably just get a slim bundle. Kinda sad.
I'm still excited for Scorpio. I hope MS learns from Sony's mistakes here. I'm not interested in being disappointed twice.
