I'm trying to keep my expectations in check, it's damn hard, but if this was all a ruse at least this wildfire hype might turn some heads that matter for down the line. Perhaps that was the plan all along. I think MvC4 if a matter of when, not if.

The fact that most of the top Marvel players and community members are pretty silent on twitter about this. Champ, Persia, Yipes, etc... they're just RTing stuff and not commenting at all. It's like maybe a lot of them know already and can't really say anything yet...

Unless Capcom gets a renewal of their other games' licenses, you'll never have the full experience and will be missing the 2 DLC characters.
If you can live with that, and like fighting games, then I would say to go for it, it's a fun game for sure.
The 360 version has less frame rate drops (but has more tearing but whatever) and as a result it's the preferred version. The PS3 version is fine though it's not bad like SF4 on that console.
But remember the DLC is gone forever.

IDK man, maybe I'm a cynical human being, but to me people staying silent because they don't know and they consider it the safest option for their reputation isn't much of a stretch.
It's a bit egocentric, sure, but people tend to be.
My larger point was that "silence" can't be taken to be implicit confirmation that anyone knows something. If somebody is aware of the rumor and doesn't chime in, they could know and have to keep quiet, or not know and prefer not to look dumb by chiming in. Not trying to claim anyone in particular doesn't know, just don't like people reading that far into silence.

I thought the next big capcom game we would hear about would be darkstalkers 4 or Onimusha 4.
Earlier in the year capcom filed a trademark for Onimusha and ono said he was still trying within capcom to make a new darkstalkers game.
But I'll gladly take mvc4 too all the same. Just wish the other games could get a chance as well.

I know they are launching new X books, but that doesn't mean anything worthwhile is happening with them. The Fantastic Four is still split in the comics with FF and X character like The Thing and Kitty Pryde on teams like the Guardians of the Galaxy to beef that IP up.
