Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

The Raid is
the Leviathan. The bad guy is likely some unrelated thing inside of the Leviathan, which is a space fish thing.

In regard to the post-credits scene,
I personally believe that is the physical embodiment of the Darkness. And I don't think we'll be seeing them again until Destiny 3 on PS5.
Where y'all getting this
Leviathan
from?

A total unexpected joy. Honestly, to me they showed that Bungie really understands what they've made.

Hawk, not to get all Byf, but after the first one, I completely scrapped any plans to build new guardians and delete a few of my D1 toons. I was like "They are a part of this legacy. I cannot rob them if this experience."

I'm looking forward to seeing what guys like Byf and Myelin think of those once I finish the game/Raid.

Nightstalker is the best class for grinding chest in EDZ. I have Keen Scout and I can see all the chest and resources around me. It makes those ghosts useless

Bungie announced it was called that. The CE booklet talks about it and there's an adventure on Nessus that talks all about it.
Ah ok, thanks. I'm hoping they go batshit crazy like Kings Fall. WotM was fun, but Kings Fall was something else entirely.

I feel ya but my warlock looks so different to how she was D1. She just doesn't feel the same. Pls barber option...anything

Way of the Trapper. No doubt about it.

I am also happy to say that my "stealth infiltrator" playstyle for story missions is alive and way through Nightstalker shenanigans.
I have looked at all the spoilers and I don't think I'm half way done with the campaign yet!!!
you are what is called a crazy person!

You're welcome! I love that so many people are talking about the lore.

As a big lore fan, one line made me smile so much at the end of one of the Adventures on Nessus.

Failsafe telling you that a user in the Vex network named Osiris sends his regards. Osiris is my favorite character in the lore so that was totally unexpected and awesome

Me too, I squeeled when
the book of sorrows was name dropped in the campaign
- best grimoire getting the respect it deserves!

Speaking of the Grimoire, the Lore button is such a welcome and necessary addition to the game. It means that more players will become aware of and appreciate the world-building.

Are adventures one time thing or do they refresh daily?
They're one time, but you can replay them like you can replay campaign levels by talking to the corresponding NPC that lets you. (I'm pretty sure anyway, I saw 3 of the adventure symbol in a row in an NPC's inventory but I can't remember who).

Osiris
is rumoured to be part of the first expansion.

Totally agree, it's a shame it's a little light but what I've read so far is awesome. I'm guessing raid gear will have some awesome lore to read though. I just wish we had readable lore hidden in the world like we have the scannable objects.
What lore button?
L2 on certain weapons (exotics mostly) will show a text box from the left of the screen.

To repeat them you have to get tokens from Destination Reps. I read that you can repeat 4 a day total.

Hmm so should I be skipping them until I beat the story?

When Crucible matchmaking goes wrong. Thanks Bungie.

Hell yes I got a scout rifle exotic called SKYBURNER'S OATH.

It does extra damage against cabal and takes down the phalanx shields.... could come in handy.

Oh, I am well aware and I can't wait. Given how solid the story has been in D2, I am very excited for that expansion.

You and me both. Bungie have truly turned it around, in terms of lore and world building. I absolutely loved Destiny and the universe Bungie created, but this sequel is taking it to another level while making it more accessible and transparent.

Between being stuck at work the past few days I've gotten three good play sessions in, gotten to level 215. Still running through the story.

What are the standout exotics and legendaries ya'll have found so far? I got the Graviton Lance and Doom Fang from story mission rewards. The Lance I wasn't very impressed with...seemed kind of weak.

I want these all to just go, as written, into an in-game Grimoire or whatever. Some of them are so intriguing and I want to piece things together!

Whoa, grats. Extra damage against cabal, that could be raid material right there...

The balance they achieved between making the world accessible for newcomers and still exciting for those of us who are familiar with it is remarkable. I was worried they would spend too much time explaining basic world building concepts when they said they wanted this game to be a clean slate for new players but there's enough here to cater to everyone.

The Flashpoint Weekly just gave me a 269 LL Exotic Foetracer Helmet and a 264 Legendary Eystein-D Pulse Rifle.

The helmet has...

Major Perk:
Relentless Tracker...
Visually marks targeted enemies. Deals more damage to low health marked targets.

Minor Perk:
Improves weapon handling for equipped Energy weapon.

The world building they've been able to include in the environments is just phenomenal this time around, not even including the scannables.

Just walking around on Titan tells an incredibly rich and engrossing story.

since they fucked up the Nightfall with the Timer, is there another way to level up above 270 ?? other than Flashpoint and farming Legendary Engrams from normal strikes

How is hardlight now? Still crap or is a semi-decent now?

It's hella fun, has all 3 Elements on it, the ricochet shots are hilarious, fucking laser light show now in 3 different colors to boot

Killed a Psion hiding ehind cover by shooting the wall behind cover, Hilarious!

Cheers man. Hawk I remember playing D1 launch with you back in the day, good on you for sticking around and being a mainstay of the DGAF community. I think I'm in for the long haul with this one.

Given the record books in the first, I thought for sure we would get something like that for the Grimoire. Hoping they add something like that in down the line and there's some more long form stories and such to find instead of just the couple lines your Ghost says when you can something.
