Pragmata Releases 2026 | State of Play 2025

Looks like an upgraded version of RE engine is now being use. Good because MHWild visuals is underwhelming for me.

It looks way rougher than I would have expected considering the delays, I wonder if this is another Dragon's Dogma 2 situation where Capcom didn't know when to cut their losses.

Watch the girl being some kind of weapon/doomsday device (story wise) that'll also A) enhance your powers in some ways throughout the game and B) will play a pivotal role during some scenarios like going full berserk /awaken her power(s) - deus ex machina scenarios if you will...

Also :
- Graphics look much better (upgraded RE engine?)
- Combat/shooting looks crunchy

If this comes anywhere close to a Vanquish X TLOU (I think it'll go there story wise) X general Capcom fuxkery it'll be a winner.

I got the Vanquish vibes from it too.

This feels like PS2-era Capcom to me for some reason lol.

I wasn't sure what to expect with the gameplay for this, but I can't say that I was interested in what I saw. Definitely gave me PS2/PS3-era Capcom vibes.

The game is going to bomb so hard.

Just having an updated Vanquish is going to fail.

They needed to go the Stellar Blade route and have completely different characters instead.

The problem is that it isn't even updated Vanquish.

The gameplay shown looked slow. It strikes me as more of a story focused game than an action shooter.

In Capcom I trust and i'll keep an eye on it based on the setting but it's definitely one of the weaker games shown today.

Hopefully our robot daughter doesn't end up betraying us.

And the twist will be we were the robot the entire time.

well, now that you've all completely spoiled the story for me...

I am a Space Simp, yup I will play this.
And will try to ignore the cringe baby anime girl banter that will plague the game's narrative.

I'm definitely interested, I'm a little scared of that dodge though, he moves like 1 foot out of the way, how will that help lol

I'm sorta kinda into it but it does kind of resemble a Dead Space and Vanquish crossover on twee mode. The voice acting is seriously dreadful though and the girl sounds irritating.

I just expect more from a legend like Capcom. Kind of just feels like a hodgepodge of other franchises. Still curious though and will keep an open mind. Maybe there'll be some cool surprises and it'll lean into Survival Horror style progression or something?

Cautiously optimistic about this. The gameplay looked more slow/measured than I expected from a Capcom game, but that's not a bad thing. If the game is suitably difficult, it could be a different kind of shooter experience where you're not just depending on waist high cover and regenerating shields to blindly run into a room firing. Where each encounter is meant to be difficult on its own, not just a hundred of the same enemies to mow down.

Hope they play up the possible emotional aspect too. That's something I think TLoU1 did really well. Building up rapport over time so you genuinely cared about the characters. This could do something similar, even if the "daughter" is AI (or EI I guess) this time.

Visually it looks pretty good, if a little too busy.

I really like the look of it but there's no way im playing through that game with that android kid on piggyback, complete deal breaker for me.
Think of it like stellar blade or nier automata or helldiver drone. She can assist you to map, too see obstacles, unlock doors ,see secrets locations or paths or items and see through walls and can also be a weapon to assist you. Or just like BB of Death stranding to detect and warn against enemies that are unseen.

I would only trust a Japanese developer with a kid android as a weapon. Looks really good. Vanquish style moves. Definitely got my hopes up after seeing the gameplay.

I think the message card was pretty excellent of them to toss in there. I mean, they spoke directly to the delay and audience. Very clever touch.
And like everyone else, it just reminded me of Megan.

Hair in Capcom games always looks off, and not fitting for the characters. Like a bad wig.
The little girl, in general, has an uncanny valley look. It's been the same with the recent RE games, but it looks more pronounced here for some reason. The character designs look both hyper-real and unreal at the same time.

The face model (realistic) and the hair model (unrealistic) are bad clash.

Kind of works with old school Capcom artsyle, when the character has derpy hair or features. Doesn't work with new post RE7 "art style" (mostly face scans). Since it's like the equivalent of live action adaptation.

I can't believe it came out in 2010. It's aged really well.

I find the "man + child fight through a harsh, alien world" trope a little tiring by now, but I'm still curious about the game. I'm guessing it's not for me, but I'll need to see more to make up my mind.

It's just nice to finally see it again. Been waiting on this title for years and it's not too long now. Capcom has an incredible 2026 cooking up.

I actually think I'm less hyped after that trailer. Looks a lot more generic than what was previously teased.

But maybe that's the price of actually getting it out the door.
