It's insane how "A" game made by one of the console makers, makes some people lose their intelligence. The fight is real, I guess. One must provide this game to be a failure.

19% - Asia

Using the regional sales breakdown for 2.4 million.

North America: 1 million
Europe: 864k
Asia: 456k



The +/- percentage within Europe should give us a better idea of how Ghost of Yotei is selling compared to Ghost of Tsushima.

The only solid data atm is from Japan and the next one will be from Spain if ever.

Amazon sales are numbers published by Amazon itself, and I think PSN rankings are significant, especially since its place is higher than bigger sellers like NBA 2K.

Major problem is that Sony barely update any specific game sales numbers anymore.
 
So far the character is totally fine, I don't know why people can't seem to separate the actor from the character. The actress didn't create this character nor did she write the dialogue, she was simply a tool to help bring the creative vision to life. The real person isn't in this game and I have zero problems with how she played it or even how she looks, I don't think having some hottie running around with her make up done and her hair always perfect would fit with what's going on in this game given that you spend your time camping out with a horse in the wild most of the time. I don't think her appearance would be her top priority considering what her goals are.

I think the actress seems like an insufferable clown based on what I've seen from her social media but the character is nothing like that. She also isn't going to be paid anything more if the game does well so if someone is holding off on buying this because of the actress remarks on social media you aren't really hurting her, she's been paid.

And I would agree with you, if, in fact, they wrote her more as a women. Other than a few lines of dialogue, one could just have put a male character in there, and it would be the same. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with cliches if it's executed properly. There is a reason cliches often exist. It's because it resonates.

I want a true study on what a women's hero arc can look like. Ripley, Sarah Conner, Kiddo (kill bill), were all strong female protagonist but still written AS women. Not just dudes with boobs.

Again, not the end of the world. Game is still great. It was just an opportunity lost to really look at how a women would go about a revenge arc like that. What would her development be? It wouldn't be the same as a man's.

It's okay to use some critical thinking skills sometimes. When we lack pure data, sometimes you have to take the vague data that's out there. It paints a picture, but only if you know how to use your brain.
