Isn't that already over?
Hell, I don't know. Maybe i'm watching a recording. It just went in overtime.

Watching the end of the basketball. All this deliberate fouling is pretty irritating. The final minute of the game has lasted about five minutes. And the French keep fouling us, so we keep getting penalities, but no one's getting booked for it, which is odd.

So I'm trying to find out when the Men's 100 m events start for someone in my timezone (Mountain Time) so I go to the official page :
http://www.london2012.com/athletics/event/men-100m/index.html
Who are these bums? I don't see Bolt, Gay, Powell etc. It looks like none of these guys have even gone under 10 seconds. I see a Pakistani and Bengali in there, lollerz.
So my question is - What day and time is the 100 m dash? I'm talkiing about even the first rounds.

23 -23 with 1 min left. Brilliant save from the Danish keeper. This is brilliant.
Most networks like NBC and BBC make money through cable subscriptions and commercials, PBS makes it's money through private donations.
You want 'even the first rounds', you'll get those 'bums', as you put it. The big names don't have to run in the preliminaries.
At the top of the page you can pick preliminaries, round 1, semifinals, and finals. Immediately below the one you pick it gives the time for that event.
BBC doesn't make money from adverts or subscriptions. It is funded by the TV Licence. Most networks like NBC and BBC make money through cable subscriptions and commercials, PBS makes it's money through private donations.

Regarding Olympics Tennis.
I think for some of these Tennis player, the Olympics are just as important as a GS, only different. While in the GS they are playing for themselves, in the Olympics they're actually playing for their countries. I'm pretty sure both Federer and Del Potro were proud of representing Switzerland and Argentina.
Watching the Olympics today I realized that so many nations have red white and blue flags.
And it's fucking glorious.Everyone with a TV pays for the BBC in Britain. We have no advertisements whatsoever on the channels they provide. No subscription either.
Federer I'll bet my left nut he's hunting that gold medal more for himself than for his countryRegarding Olympics Tennis.

Austria vs. Russia in beach volleyball reminds me of a burning question I have:
Is Spain still in it?
That it is. 24 ad-free HD channels for the Olympics, I hope they keep that going for Rio in 2016 and it's not just a one-off while it's in our country, because having access to so many sports without adverts interrupting them is brilliant. And it's fucking glorious.
China fuck yeah!
Yes. Tomorrow against Italy.

You should remove the BBC from that. The BBC is not funded like that, or like any network in the world. It really is unique and is pointless to try and compare it with any other network.
many countries have their own tv channels that have zero ads and are funded by a tv license.

Can't remember, I was in Spain for most of the time the olympics were on that year. Also we didn't have HD back then either.Didn't they do similar coverage for Beijing?
Regarding that knee to the face by Alex Morgan; who was at fault? I'm pretty sure you can't knee the goalie in the face, but my gf says the goalie is at fault.
GB was aiming for 5 - 7 medals in swimming, looks like we'll end up with 3.

I haven't been following this thread. Are people upset that the one British cycling team admitted to crashing to keep from following behind?
It's pretty shit, and the only reason his gold hasn't been revoked is because the IOC doesn't want to embarrass the host nation.I haven't been following this thread. Are people upset that the one British cycling team admitted to crashing to keep from following behind?
Bullshit. It's pretty shit, and the only reason his gold hasn't been revoked is because the IOC doesn't want to embarrass the host nation.
Only four channels were available on TV and all four were streamed online, so every sport wasn't shown live. It wasn't tape delayed despite the difference in time-zone.Didn't they do similar coverage for Beijing?
I assume that the open water marathon swimming also counts as swimming (that is, I assume that prediction wasn't limited to the events in the Aquatics Centre), and I think we have reasonable medal chances in that.
