I think most sports games are a licencing hell. I even remeber that Nintendo had to remove Mike Tyson from Punch Out to keep it selling. Also music stuff sucks. I remeber that one the Hitmans wasn't allowed to be sold for some time because of that.

MS doesn't make the best games, but they have a few franchises e.g I prefer and the titles are sometimes good enough up to really good.
I also still have my ps4 pro but so far only used it for a few titles. But as long as a product is good enough it is ok for me to buy it on any plattform I can afford.

For me e.g. Sony is not a company I can trust (that was the company that thought it would be a good idea to place rootkits on CDs for copy protection....). I also don't think I can really trust MS, but the good thing about this big company is, they get controlled to find problems from many, many companies.

Candid reply: For me it’s not about trust or anything like that, in short I’m using the Xbox ecosystem because I’m a cheap bastard. It’s very possible that Gamepass will devalue games at large, but so be it I just like that I get more games for less money. It simply saves me money.

Day 1 PC versions is great too since PC is my main platform now and I never feel like double dipping because I have to wait on a delayed PC version. Saving money again.

And the occasional Play Anywhere title is nice when I want to play both on console and PC. Yet again, no double dipping, money saved, and no save file juggling either. (They need to make a deal with Valve to at least get save files syncing working)

So I don’t understand the hate and negativity here tbh. To this day I’m still at 0 bought games on Xbox this generation, and my games played stats last year alone was still something crazy like 100 games. I try all kinds of weird games, not just the 10/10 unicorns. The surprise this year is Loop Hero. Fun little game I wouldn’t even have noticed or looked twice at without GP.


However. Sony have better and more exclusives. Plain and simple. Skipping Playstation is like skipping a Nintendo console, you just don’t do that, it’s not a rational thing to do.
Of course the other side of that coin is that between those awesome releases I’m not really using my PS5.

So, both platforms have their ups and down imo.

You know I'm not talking about those two specifically because I've actually both seen them in various conversations and have had convos with them in via replies, to know they are not cappers for Microsoft or Xbox, nor Game Pass. They have many valid criticisms about all three of those things.

Plus my comment was WRT a specific forum, that has obviously become a haven for a lot of Xbox fanatics who are also pro-acquisition nuts, and cap for virtually everything MS does in addition to using MS Rewards to pay off their GP subs (alongside VPN tricks & loopholes). There is, and always will be, something for those emotionally invested to battle over. Especially when people are getting paid. Damn, you had quite a ride. I got a used one, played it until I got a RROD (once), I closed the console, opened it and it worked normally.
Sold it the next week.
