never left the stone age
Most of us can't read it

It says "You dirty/filthy bastard. Hope you die a painful death"

Note that dirty/filthy is commonly used by racists to describe immigrants in general. Just so you know whose agenda you're supporting by spreading the image around.

It was an attack
Don't try to diminish it

Yes, but one without any victims except for the asshole himself, and nobody gives a shit about him. Of course it was still scary, and yes, it was an attack, but now innocents have died. There's a big difference.

The fucking caption on that image *sigh*. We don't just murder people here for fucks sake, let him rot in jail.

I don't think rot is the right verb for what people do in Swedish gaols.

Yeah right. Stop it

Well this will make SD an even larger party. Hopefully our government copies SD immigration views!

Fuck the current government for letting this happen

How do you propose they should have prevented this? Muslim ban (if it is an Islamist attack)?

I don't think max-security Swedish prisons look quite like that? Could be wrong though.

dave is ok

aztek is ok
Some reports of a second arrest now.

But usually people arrests right after events like this are just people hauled in for one reason or another, questioned and released.

Arrest assholes that fight for isis but return to our country and can live as free men?

Don't let just anyone in. Make fucking background checks!
Thats a start at least. Let women with kids in.

Decades and decades of politics will have an effect. Maybe during our lifetime.
You think it will?

I'm honestly not seeing it. If anything, its intensifying. With so many of these acts being perpetrated by the children of refugees and the number that actively went over to the ME to take up arms, I cant see how politics can fix any of it.

Been saying for awhile now, I honestly think there will be massive push backs from inside Europe.

I didn't say anything about rights or privacy. I asked if it were a media censor.

Anyway, seems to be Public property, so I don't know what expectation of "privacy" there is.
Imagine they caught the wrong guy and his face is all over the media. His identity is protected until proven guilty

This is getting weirder all the time
Let us in or we'll kill you?

Of course not. People feel ostracised and can react in different ways. Of course you already have to be a mentally ill person with a very unique set of circumstances to even contemplate doing something like this.

And once again, that only comprises about 0.00001% of people.

I dont even know where you begin trying to work out this problem.

I'd start with a thorough study on what led to this and how to treat the cause and not the symptoms. The hardest part will be accepting solutions that don't fit into your world view.

We have laws against that now, and people have been sentenced. And I agree with you that you shouldn't be able to just come back here and live your life as if nothing happened, possibly planning attacks, but you can surely understand that it's impossible to catch everyone while still maintaining a secure legal system and civil rights.

OH fuck off. I didn't bring him into anything. I jsut said that I am pretty much fed up with humanity and it's behaviour. Don't get your knickers in a twist. Just named another example of human shitty behaviour, that happened to be Trump supporters. I never mentioned him directly. But hey, go be angry then, attack me over the so called slight of daring to mention your precious supreme oompaloompa. This weekend I don't care anymore the entirety of humanity is shit.

So logging right now. Bye.

Please don't tell me to fuck of. Go and read your post again. You brought Trump into it, quite clearly, before talking nonsense about hating human beings. If you don't have the emotional intelligence to participate in this type of thread, please don't.

And he's not my President or Oompaloompa.

Just took my dog for a quick stroll, people seems to be out in the gray spring weather and taking a cup of coffee etc. A tourist came up to me and asked for directions on how to get to Hammarby sjöstad or Årsta and asked me; "do you know what happend? I was there, that's why I'm walking". Fun vacation for her.

But it takes 2 for this to happen and thats the problem with fundamentalists, one is a law set by people, the other is a law set by an infallible overseer. Thats the problem. If you accept the idealogy that the way in which your life should be lived is prescribed to you by a all knowing power, anything to the contrary is dismissed. There is no give and take in such a situation.

Hope this country can show some community and solidarity.

It's the antidote.

It's not, really. Sure, these people hope we will turn against each other (or against immigrants/Muslims), and we shouldn't, but you can't stop this with hugs.

What do you mean? I live in Sweden. What do you expect me to do? Who should I show solidarity towards? What is that display of solidarity an antidote to?

Yes We have But for people returning after 2016!!!! Isis member that came back Before 2016 are not. We do not have Laws that can punish someone for something that was legal while they did it

This shit is insane! Also these fuckers want to segregate women and men. Did you see the news the other day? Private schools for muslims. Wtf is this shit!

No, I don't think that's right. This isn't necessarily mental illness, and it's unfair to attach that stigma to the mentally ill.

I think these people are entirely lucid, and just evil.

No, but it begins with other things. School, education, help if you have psychological issues etc. Things that we're tearing down as we type. But there will always be people wanting to hurt other, of course, and it will be hard to stop them all.

Well I heard the missinformation came from DN in the first place.

Ok? I doubt that. I have been refreshing it fairly regularly and I haven't seen anything that I can recall. There is nothing about it there right now. Other here in the office mentioned it and that they had read it on Aftonbladet.

DN have witness reports of people not being allowed to exit Mall of Scandinavia due to suspected shootings. Let's hope it's nothing.

Yeah, it's becoming a meaningless ritual now. Someone's probably working on a FB "solidarity with Sweden" display picture right now.

Sure, all of that is needed. But that won't have any effect for 10 years or more. It's the same issue as the gang violence in our suburbs. Early efforts, etc, sure, that's all good, but what about NOW? Are we just gonna sit back and watch the world burn?

I dunno. My subject at the university wasn't for these kind of things. But I do know that I won't vote be a racist douche for the time being (I'm not implying that you are one, just so that is said and done).
