REALLY wouldn't compare them. SVT is at least non-affiliated (supposed to anyway) and do send great reports through Uppdrag Granskning. The mentioned reporter right now is exhibiting more CNN stupidity.

Because they are people, and humans are horrible. You see the Independent is run by a human, who wants to sell more newspapers and be a dick to other humans. Angry humans buy more than happy, sweet and content humans. So like a proper human, he put it in for the most shock he can, so people will give him a lot of clicks or buy a lot of papers.

Yep. Can't show the names/faces of a suspect, innocent until proven guilty. (I mean it's fairly clear in this case, but still, laws exist for a reason)

Given what normally happens on Twitter when they get a face, and then misidentify, it's being sensible.
Once the investigation is carried out and probable guilt confirmed, fine, release details.

Seriously? Don't jump to conclusions. They apprehended him, he doesn't have to be the perpetrator. Wait for confirmation.
They apprehended the wrong guy shortly after the Berlin attacks too and some media put his name out. He needed police protection after that.

I would argue that it's the narrative coming from the US, UK etc. of increasing isolationism that is angering people who are at risk of radicalisation. People in Sweden, France etc. are exposed to that, not just what's happening within their borders. It's not as much 'revenge against Sweden/France' as it is against the 'West'. If you're going to commit one of these truck attacks, which by their very definition are 'popular' because of the ease of preparation, you're not going to travel all the way to another country to do it.
Until suspects are confirmed, it is best to keep identities in check so that people wont start acting irrationally on just suspiciouns. The last thing we need are fanning the flames of the right wing who are already started to get riled up into batshit crazy mode.
