Ok I hate that there's no explanation about Bates and Queenie, I must have missed something. I mean I understand Kyle was "working" with Fiona but all of a sudden he's a normal guy, talking? Witchcraft, I guess.

Kyle, don't you remember the last time you were in a bus?!

Aw. I thought Madison was going to be outside and just flip that shit.

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
Oh man, Axe Man on a four killstreak. Calls in the Fiona killstreak bonus for maximum damage.

Tonight's episode was a lot better than last weeks shit fest. Everything (from the cemetery scene to her being stabbed) about Angela Bassett in this episode was just awesome. I really wish we didn't have this supreme BS going on because the younger witches are just terrible...including Cordelia. They're still bring back at least one person per episode I see and it's a damn shame. The writing and pacing of the show have been pretty bad too.

For next season, they should only bring back Bassett, Lange and Bates and use completely new people for the rest of the cast.

I quickly scrolled through this thread but I haven't actually seen anything about this episode yet, but I have been doing some reading about season 4 and thought I'd do a recap of what we know.

TRUE

YET TO BE CONFIRMED
RUMOURS / UNSUBSTANTIATED
  • Lily Rabe won't be returning due to her commitments with filming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
  • Jessica will be playing a Marlene Dietrich type of character.
  • Season 4 will be a science fiction western. (The clue is the Thermin in last episode)
  • Taissa Farmigia won't be returning as she will be busy filming Star Wars: Episode VII
  • The show will take a circus theme

Clues have allegedly already been appearing in episodes. Some fans have already speculated.

Orlando
The theremin
A colorful poster in the background during Queenie's conversation with Cordelia
Conspicuously UFO-like overhead lamps during the conference
Several German name drops
Pruning shears
A doll with bloody tears

The most conspicuous for me:

Harrison's line about "Ridding the State Department of Communists" (in 1950, the Red Scare was in full force).

The Orlando thing threw me off, but then when I looked into the symbolism, I interpret it as this:

2 beings, Zoe and Kyle, escaping the "mother land" to go towards safety in Orlando...

Using the Orlando thing as a "clue drop", the "mother land" can mean Russia (fueling the Red Scare/Cold War theme) OR it can allude to the literal sci fi nature defining the "mother land" as another planet.

Either way, alien invasion will be part of season 4.

I just saw it. I'm so surprised that there is so much gore in one episode, usually the series has a rather "equal" distribution of the gore but this one just had EVERYTHING.

I like the direction all the characters are going in - Lange and Bassett really shined in this episode and we finally see the psychotic side of Bates come out FINALLY. I was waiting for it to happen and I'm glad it did.

Now that everyone is out of the picture, I'm excited to see the witches and what not turn amongst each other.

I really love all the characters right now. Especially Marie and Myrtle. Two of the standouts for me.

EDIT: Emma Roberts is "just waiting to be asked" to be on Season 4.

Take that as you will.

I enjoyed last night episode more than the last. Quite a bit more actually. The axeman's rampage was good, but honestly I was hoping for more from a cult of witch hunters.

At this point I'm basically just pulling for Cordelia and Myrtle.

Yea the bungled so much with this season. Could have been darker than Asylum. More interesting. Instead it's like a bad vampire novel or something. It's hard to stay invested in it, but then you get a nice episode like last night's. Problem is, every episode should be that good.

With two episodes left I'm not sure what will happen.
