I doubt Fiona's death will stick, but if it does, then what a shitty anti climactic note to end her storyline on. I'm thinking it won't stick though because nothing about it even made any sense and I doubt Murphy could resist putting Lange into every episode.

Ermahgahd. What if they're ALL the supreme?

What if the four witches combine to form Voltron! :O

It seems that this season doesn't really have a story... the "big final" is discovering who is the Supreme? Meh.

I'm thinking it won't stick though because nothing about it even made any sense and I doubt Murphy could resist putting Lange into every episode.

We'll see her in a flashback, don't worry. ;)

It's weird because even though I wanted her death to be more elaborate, but the axe to the back by her scorned ghost lover was strangely satisfying for me.

Why did it feel like I missed a few scenes between end of last episode and beginning of this episode?

I know they went back and explained some shit, but WTF, did I miss something last episode? because this one doesn't feel like it picked up right after.... was there an online mini-sode I should know about?

The only way I can see Fiona coming back is if she brainwashed axe man and that would be enough to trick Cordelia's true sight. I'm guessing it is doable if Madison managed to block out her thoughts

Other than that hasty death I enjoyed the episode. The misty/madison fight was a good watch as was Queenie's development. Can anyone tell me how Delphine captured Marie? Last thing I remember was Delphine stabbing her in the heart then running off

I'm interested to see what they're going to do with Spalding next episode, unless they are just going to leave him with that baby

Spalding conked her on the head and told Delphine to dispose of her.

I loved the new episode. I don't mind that the story isn't as well connected as the previous seasons because it's just so entertaining. I can't wait to find out who the new Supreme is.

Madison didn't block her thoughts, she was not seeing anything.
Her sight was not working until she talk to Fiona and it was sparked again.

Water is not wet!
Another great episode. Loved the depictions of hell.

Coven feels kind of like Murder House in that shit just happens and there is no super pressing plot. i dont mind the meandering.

I did enjoy the depiction of hell as we'll. papa legba (or whatever) is a pretty rad character. Define's future eternity looks terrible lol.

That was part of what I was missing. They just omitted the whole scene of what happened and only referenced it a quick flashback. I'm guessing for time constraints or something, but it felt like was missing something, apparently I wasn't.

That's weird. He told her that she could bury Leveau for all he cared, and he took the baby as his own living doll.

It'd be great if the vision that Cordelia saw when she had the Brooch/Necklace on still comes to fruition somehow. I think that'd be kinda cool.

Did nobody think to look up what 'transmutation' means before they shot the episode? Hint, not the same thing as teleportation.

Pretty enjoyable episode, though it felt kinda flat, despite the sheer amount of stuff that happened.

No way is Fiona dead for good, Ryan Murphy isn't going to let Jessica Lange sit the finale out. . Either she did a body switch with Cordelia or... I dunno, the painting is a horcrux (speaking of the painting, that scene at the end when the girls were going on about how Fiona was 'one of the best'. What on earth? Sort your characters out writers, 5 minutes ago they all hated Fiona.).

More Myrtle and more Misty punching people, please.

Come on, they were so obviously bullshitting.

I agree about angry Misty, though. I love her even more now. I'm hatching a plan to get married to Felicia Day even though I don't want to, just so I can have two daughters named Misty and Sunny Day.

God's had his chance.
So definitely not the worst episode of this series ever but... the whole Supreme thing is really what the climax is gonna be? It better turn into a huuuuuuuge witch fight (teehee) and get mad crazy cause the only other character that posed any threat from the outside (voodoo) is just straight dead now. What a punk ass way for the two strongest characters in the show to go out ...

I could have swore I read that there were going to be male witches (warlocks or whatever) in this run. Like there was a straight up interview where one of the writers talked about it. While I definitely like this season leagues more than the wtf-fest that was Asylum - this season is definitely the worst offender when it comes to burning time. I can't believe that we are like 2 episodes away from the end of the season and seemingly so little has happened. while i do feel more invested in the characters than some others here (dig Fiona, Voodoo was fucking awesome and sexy and layered, Misty day is the shit, Myrtle is amazing and so on..) I can't help but feel like i'm definitely going to be underwhelmed at the finale.

Satan and Papa and some wicked insane sorcerer need to show up in the last episode for sure. Seems painfully obvious to me that the whole point of the season and the witches big "aha" moment is going to be "Wow... look at how much we can get done when we stick together! Girl Power!!" ... and that's kind of lame because... well... no shit.

Definitely not the worst season but it would have been a lot better if there had been a nice hard supernatural entity that would have built up as the eventual big bad throwdown instead of wasting time (and talent) with Misery 2.0 and Zombie Blond.

I think I missed a key part of the series, can someone help me out?

How is Ax Man in the mortal world? Wasn't he a ghost who followed the supreme lady to protect her?

Zoe developed powers that allowed her to scan the library for a spell that would "get rid" of the ghost so that he'd leave Cordelia alone. I don't think it was intentional that she made him into flesh. It was a move out of desperation where her powers guided her to a spell that would release him.

My question is: What's the big deal about being a ghost? They've already nullied the impact of death by having characters just return instantly from the grave. But it seems ghosts are equally capable of manifesting in reality anyway. I thought initially it was because of the strong family bong Spalding had with Fiona (and that she's the Supreme), but then he up and appears for La Laurie too. Makes it seem pointless that he'd have her do the dirty work when he can manipulate the real world without issue.

I feel like I missed an episode, he goes from flash back to owning a shitty apartment downtown where he headlines as a sax player or whatever. Thanks anyway, I'm gonna have to go through this season again.

Well, they eventually explained that the apartment was actually some former Jazz member that he killed and left in the bathtub, There was a whole episode around Fiona finding out and not saying anything until after she slept with Ax man. What they never mention is how he's able to keep that apartment for so long without any consequence.

I'm so glad we're finally one episode away from this being done. This season had so much potential, but they just couldn't deliver.

It's a perfect way to describe the entire series.

Although Murder House had characters I liked so I didn't really notice it as much.

So many things bothered me this season.

- Why introduce luke and his mom if there is no payoff to their storyline.
- Way too much time spent developing frankenkyle's character, he hardly adds anything to the story.
- Every character is bipolar, they love each other, hate each other, repeat etc.
- Made it seem like the witch hunters were some big deal, but they were dealt with so quickly.

This season was promising from the first few episodes.
I hope for the last episode, somehow nan makes an appearance and becomes the supreme.

Papa legba is the best character AHS has ever created. I demand a spinoff.

He's been pretty much the best thing this season.

Everybody pays...everybody suffers

- Way too much time spent developing frankenkyle's character, he hardly adds anything to the story.

This has been the weirdest aspect of the season for me....I mean, from a "real life" stand-point...after giving the actor a relatively decent role in the first season, and really giving him some things to work with in Asylum...he ends up as this "full retard" character? LMAO, dude must just be a loyalist.

theres too many tea leaves and exits in the story. the entire season has been a bi polar, reversal of all fortunes week to week. this has to come together into an ending thats not this predictable and this "story book" for the coven.

if they continue with the ending being the danger is inside the walls (the girls versus each other/the coven destroying itself), even with all the fluff added, this will easily be my least likable of the three seasons.

also, there shouldn't be a new supreme. none of girls have built enough salt as a character to carry the title. they all remain shallow bubble heads with no real resolve.

let papa legba win the season, hopefully they all go to hell (or are already there).

At what point did the Axe-man become human?

Also now they've killed him wont he just be a ghost again?

Edit: Ok guess my question was answered.

This show would be so much better if there was only one character, Myrtle.

So that was n interesting episode. To echo dan, does this mean the axe man will become a ghost again? I am glad that he's gone (or seemingly gone) the show went to shit when he appeared and didn't really recover...

And it's pretty obvious that Fiona isn't dead. Also quite enjoyed the ass kicking Madison got, some lovely ass shots. Very disappointed to see Zoe back with FrankenKyle, was hoping they were both gone for good.

Season finale next week. Can't wait to see how they end this...

The Misty beat-down was pretty damn sweet.

So good.

I'm definitely to the point where I'd rank this season below Murder House. It's just thoroughly disjointed and terrible - and not in a fun way like Murder House often was.

I'm sorry, but this season is just ass. Papa Legba is cool though. And lol if you actually think Fiona isn't coming back. Queenie blew her brains out and came back, Madison was already rotting when she came back, and people brush off full body 3rd degree burns by rubbing a little mud on it. They didn't even show her dying, it was in a flash back.
Also I think Madison is the next Supreme. She's done almost all of the wonders already, unless they did that purposefully to mislead people.

Did they just stab a ghost!?

Also, the whole "fight" between Fiona and the ghost was fucked stupid, you are smarter and way more powerful than that, Fiona.

That might not be such a bad idea. Anyway, with how they brought everybody else back, if she is gone, then the season would actually manage to become worse than awful.

The commentary on politicians/celebrities and public apologies was my favorite part of the episode.

I liked that scene as well. It was one of the only social commentary scenes that actually worked for me this season.

The Misty beat-down was pretty damn sweet.

So good.

Indeed it was. Most cathartic scene of the entire season.

I think Myrtle should just kill everyone, click her heels, and soar off into the sunset with all the silver.

Someone needs to ride on a broom this season! Preferably Myrtle because that totally seems like something she would do.

I could have swore I read that there were going to be male witches (warlocks or whatever) in this run. Like there was a straight up interview where one of the writers talked about it.

So there are male witches in this coven?
Yes, there are male witches who are descendants of Salem and then there are other sects we get into later in the series of male witches who are not of the Salem tribe but other breeds of witches. Not necessarily warlocks.

They either decided to scrap that idea or they're saving it for the finale.
Maybe they'll reveal that the witch hunters are actually a sect of male witches that hunt female witches?

I think they did intentionally to put Zoey as the Supreme. The problem I have with that is, Zoey has been boring from day one and if that's the overall twist to all this, then yes, Coven sits several seats next to Murder house.

This whole season was disjointed and I can't believe they wasted such a good theme on it. I'll be really done if Cordelia's vision is actually right and that Fiona didn't die, but was reborn the same way misty was and came back to kill all then bitches while leaving her in the empty to house. Or the witches all turn on each other because of past bs. I don't see this season ending very well. I am disappoint.

This season hasn't been that bad. The biggest issue is that they could have done so much more. That said this episode was pretty good (besides Fiona's weak death). This whole season felt like it needed more time. The witches vs voodoos, witches vs hunters, and witches vs themselves each easily could have been made into the main plot of its own season. It feels like they bit off too many stories this season. A jack of all trades, master of none. Hopefully they tone it down next season and give more focus to fewer plots.

That said it is no where near the hyperbolic levels of bad some people here are claiming.
