AusGAF 5/5 - Everything's Amazing and Nobody's Happy, a rental at best

Stone & Wood Pacific Ale! Australian, refreshing (passionfruit/citrus taste, very light) no preservatives etc and ridiculously easy to knock back.

Next time I'm at Sony I'm going to find Choc.

I'm going to carry around my 3DS like Ripley in Aliens and soon as I get a Streetpass I'll know I've found him!

Fredescu and x3n05 - that Steam thing you both wanted has been gifted.

Thanks kindly sir, I wasn't around to thank you before unfortunately.

oh dear

QLD is @ point where the wivenhoe needs releasing again

=(

Wivenhoe is only at 76%, it's far from a disaster yet. However my whole street was flooded this morning so I am working from home today. Only 2 more weeks living below sea level.

Won't be a declaration. Still 42 overs to bowl in day two ffs!

Nah they make you stow them at reception. Vita only premises.

you of course mean hingis ;)
You added that in your edit ;)

New Vegas looks great, Hingis still looks as great as always. Sexy accent too.

Cricket going pretty much as I told Omi it would last night. Aside from Clarke and Ponting falling just after lunch rather than just before.

Although Haddin has exceeded expectations!

There is also a Grill'd there, isn't there? You should've eaten there!
I don't know what that is but I will go next time I go food hunting. I have seen like 4 of those since arriving.

Saturday for meet up is good. How about just some arvo pubbing? As it's hard to interest me in food.

Someone else should work out where. Either a single good pub or a street with lots of places.

If Haddin gets a quick fire fiddy he'll be in forever won't he :(
If he even makes a total of 50 runs in the 20/20 and ODI series he will be kept in the side :(
They just don't want to give anyone else a shot.

I know at E3 EA announced the extra peak was only for PS3, but EB Australia is advertising it for both platforms.

Ah nice! it might be a region locked DLC for PS3 in the US or something. Still irritates me that EA call the first batch of print Limited Editions.

Actually I saw a Dead Space 2 LE for PS3 in EB the other day for $38 which was tempting with the included DS Extraction.

The problem with these meet ups is that you guys worry far too much about the venue, kicking Kritz in the balls should be your only concern.

but ever so delicious
So something like the beer deluxe then kritz?

Although i just checked the prices .. Holy shit. That's some expensive booze.

Hopefully someone else can throw out some pub suggestions then so we can get it rolling. I know nothing about booze in the city.

I did get told there's a decent joint down near the casino and another around that location. The casino being a 10 - 15 minute walk from flinders street just down the road. or a quick tram ride.

I guess 1pm on saturday is the time? Now we just need a location and a show of confirmed hands once we get a location.

I've been suggesting Beer Deluxe, primarily because it has good beer and is easy to get to (opposite Flinders St station in Fed Square). Alternatively if you want a really good pub there's The Local Taphouse (in St Kilda) but it'd be a bit more difficult to get to.

I think cookie suggested a 1pm meet? Not a bad time for some brews and food.

Yes, the beer there is expensive. But it is (almost) all the good stuff. None of those $3 pots of cat piss.

... there's always the European Bier Cafe: http://www.europeanbiercafe.com.au/#/biers/4542408798

I heard it is nice in Warrnambool this time of year. Could be a nice place for a meet up!

Majestic train ride down from Melbourne with beautiful scenery. Might even see a Summer Glau or two on the way.

Beaches are lined with beautiful women and all the uni crew are out enjoying the last of the time before they are back behind the desks studying.

Also whales and stuff.

It's OK, I just realised there's no Grill'd in Tasmania so might be a reasonable place for a foreigner to try. The closest to Beer Deluxe would be the one in Degraves St (if it's still there?) which isn't the worst place to go anyway. There's always a Nandos right across the road (if that's still there) from Beer Deluxe too.

Of course I'd recommend everyone goes to Movida Next Door... it's probably not really suitable for a meetup though.

Oh yeah there has to be drinking -- gotta try Melbourne's awesome craft beer scene!

degraves st smells like someone took a shit right on your face, lets be honest they probably did take a shit in that street.

I'm thinking I might hit the city early on sat. Grab some shorts from DFO and thai deli for lunch before meeting up with everyone. So i have something in my belly before i drink a few glasses of $15 cider.

Then get thai deli again for dinner haha D: depending on what time it all finishes up.

I'm thinking we should just meet up at flinders and once everyone is good to go then stroll around and find a place. Walk straight to the beer deluxe if people wanted and then move on after it. Might be the easiest thing to do?

Beer garden looks okay. $10 for a beer? Shit, that's basically what you're paying in Tas anyway. (give or take three bucks).

I think it looks kinda cool. Up to you dudes though.

could go to the belgian beer cafe, either the one up st kilda rd (on the left from the city. i dunno the street, youd have to look for it), or the one on southbank: http://www.belgianbeercafemelbourne.com/index.php

expensiveish but flavoured beers.
