"Won't cost them anything" is the most ignorant statement when it comes to any kind of development.

It may not cost as much as, say, making a World Tour Mode. But any new feature requires tons of coding, at least some art, and TONS of testing.

Also remember that this is the company that, when faced with the issue of the name "M.Bison" possibly being grounds for a lawsuit, chose to shuffle three names around rather than redrawing the name tag...

You have no idea how games are made if you actually think that making a new mode doesnt cost anything (no matter how trivial the mode sounds to you)

I didn't mean the literal sense of "nothing"

of course it'll require coding and that's a given but it's relatively easy compared to other modes, they can add some artworks or even add it without any cutscenes or artworks and most of the gamers who asked for it will be satisfied (specially since the full Story Mode is coming) instead of facing this negativity over it's absence.

Juri's V-Trigger activation has the most "shit just got real" animation in the game.

Even in SFIV the effects were all gorgeous in slow motion. The effects artists really don't get enough credit.

My guess would be that they want to make sure the online is implemented flawlessly before they go about doing the disconnect = loss thingy. So maybe we'll see it after this patch coming up, assuming all goes well with it. That being said, I don't remember the last time I've personally been disconnected from the server due to connection issues from their end so my guess is they aren't that far off.

Yeah, my last several disconnects were failings on my end. I'm not too worried about losing points due to Capcom server flubs.

I guess the problem is that some people are still having lots of network problems while others are not, so I shouldn't speak as though my experience generalizes to everyone. And there's a good chance that things are going to be really unstable for a little while after this next patch.
