the IMAX trailer also cut out the part about "be their angel" it now just says "be their hero"

are they trying to cut down on the religious parallels to not offend some of the audience?

...Who gets offended over that?

Religious parallels are inherent to Superman's concept.

And isn't there some comic guy with the last name Snyder too?

Poetry.

Yes. Scott Snyder, the writer on Batman for the last few years, which caused a lot of confusion in one of the other threads as people got him confused with Zach Snyder.

A George Miller Green Lantern movie could be excellent.

I never knew I wanted him on a Green Lantern movie until now

Maybe WB says to Miller:

"Yo make some superhero movie and you can continue doing those Mad Max movies."

Like they did with Nolan and Inception.

Also, Mad Max wasn't that great at box office with ~360.000.000 WW

It'd be great if Miller was given one of them comic book shindigs, but he must also be given the time to develop it properly.

George Miller directing one of the DC films would be a good thing if true:

I have no idea if the source is legit, however.

Surprised at the poll results so far, I thought everyone would want him for Flash. I always forget GL has a large fanbase.

I actually think his humor in Fury Road would be a good fit for Shazam and he has experience with kid films as well. I could see him delivering a good Superman like film through Shazam that might be more inline with those that criticized MoS based on tone.

I'm not surprised by all this Miller for DCU talk at all. Given that Warners like to work with the same people and that Miller himself was spotted taking a tour of the Suicide Squad set it seems inevitable.

If I had to guess which film he'd be attached to direct from the announced DCU films I'd say that it's likely The Flash given that Miller probably won't want to hang about.

However, if you want to think outside the box and maybe speculate about unannounced DCU films then perhaps Miller could be interested in New Gods. I know that WB have been quietly developing it for a while now and that it's something they see huge potential in..., so who knows?

I'm sure that we'll find out soon enough.

People forget that before his aborted and much discussed Justice League film Miller had signed on to write and direct a Wonder Woman film for Warners. It was in the mid nineties IIRC but it shows that Miller has a real affection for the genre.

I think that he's going to be interested in a DCU project without anyone at the studio having to twist his arm.

Considering it's an R rated relatively unknown IP that's actually pretty damn good. The only problem is that due to production issues it cost a little bit too much for that sort of take.

Yeah for some reason shazam felt like a good fit for him to me to, I haven't even seen fury road yet

GLC or Shazam would be my choices. GLC would let him show off his awesome sense of visual style more than some of the others. Shazam would take advantage of his unique ability to straddle both badass and whimsical worlds effectively.

Watched The Dark Knight Returns yesterday. I can see they've pulled a bit from it now. Especially the Batman's suits and look. I'm sure this has been discussed already, but it was interesting to see for myself. Now I'm wondering just how much they've pulled.

Hmm, not really fond of it. Maybe they should call it DCFU - DC Film Universe or something.

Probably don't want to be too much like MCU with the DCCU.

And can't really do it like animation w/ the DCAU/DCUA since DC Universe Cinematically just sounds strange

I don't think we are talking about the same scene.

Yeah, now that I'm rewatching the scene I was referring to, it doesn't look like a laser beam at all, just some sort of lens flare. I guess the other scene, it looks like a stream of rocks being thrown towards her.

Hmm people DCCU sounds easier to remember . Thanks to MCU , i think people will just refers to it as MCu/DCCU/ monster cinematic universe etc. Cinematic just make it easily to remember lol

Maybe it's because you don't like these characters.
Like I said, I'm not a big fan of these characters, but still big enough fan to buy Batman Arkham City and Origins for Wii U, also as a kid, watched the old 60s Batman, really liked the NES Batman game, went to movie theater to watch Batman & Robin, seen all the Batman movies, liked the 78' Superman movie and so on. This movie just seems so lame however.

Lame in what way ? There is so much in the trailer going on I don't know how someone would call it lame.

I actually had to watch the trailer again to even recognize who is who from the more major characters (ok, that's more to do with the way the trailer was put together and not recognizing the actors to begin with except Ben Affleck). Then there was lots of stupid poses and somehow overacted facial expressions by Superman, maybe the actor just sucks?, Superman's adoptive mom looks like some 30-35 year old woman with artificial makeup to look older (don't know how old she actually is, but it looks so fake in this trailer even if she was actually old). Lex Luthor looks ridiculous, I just can't imagine him being like that. And yet another "dramatic" "Batman's parents are killed" scene.
Also don't know what the actual story is going to be, but even the idea of Superman fighting Batman sounds stupid, like Batman had any chance...
