Pixels don't scale linearly with 'power' either - anyway the same leaks that 'confirmed' 40% 'rendering power' increase also confirmed 2x resolution/framerate in early target games.Pro doesn't have 2x more raw power.
So really - either you believe it, or you don't - but you don't get to select a buffet of things that you find preferable from the leak.
To be fair this has been going on for a good decade before DF became a thing - people just didn't know about it until mid-PS3 gen when DF got on the case finally.I love how developers use resolutions now.
It's why there are 'surprises' coming out later, that a lot of GCN and PS2 libraries (and some XBox even) ran at 512x480 or some version of thereof.
But fair - dynamic res wasn't common until PS4 era, to which we have no real answer for (what is even the actual averages of any dyna-res games is impossible to measure without developer assistance on consoles).
