Black Panther: Wakanda Forever | Official Trailer

That's definitely an inaccurate portrayal of the first film. It was popular in the US and less so around the world.
This.

'Black powa' or whatever just isn't as impactful outside of the US. Some of those places are mainly black so... Others find making a noise about skin colour obnoxious. Others are pretty racist. None of them are a big market for a film like this.

It says a lot about you that you think I was implying that Marvel should have changed the character. I was merely explaining why it wasn't as popular outside the US.

I don't even know what 'yt' means.
The movie wasn't about "black powa or whatever" it was about a comic book character named black panther.

It had some black powah in it, the villain being considered incredible because he was super deep (and really the best thing in the movie)

Also the villain: i'm gonna give weapons to black oppressed men so they can finally fuck up white men.

This shit movie was the wet dream of all the nephente in this world:messenger_tears_of_joy:

Nah, bro, it was always about black power and black character. Which is perfectly fine, we need more of these, but his point still stands. Wakanda as being that super advanced country hidden from view in Africa - it's quite obvious what they want to do here.

Like it or not people demand real life representation in comic books, which is why all the heroes coming out as LGBTQA+.

Nah, a tiny group of hyper vocal activists have realized that "I need to see ME on screen!!!" is a very effective weapon because their victims are generally nice people who have not developed a resistance to it yet.

It's coming though. Color wheel casting works both ways and when we start getting more authentic non white, non straight stories the requirement to include others "for representation" will backfire.

For my friends and most of the people I know who went to see the first one... We FINALLY got a big budget movie with a majority black cast starring one of the most electric leading young black men in Hollywood... It was moving at times, it was funny at times, it was HECTIC with action at times... It wasn't perfect but it made MANY of our cinematic dreams come true.

It wasn't about gangs, drugs, crime or any of the "acceptable" Hollywood tropes... It was big budget SciFi fantasy action! You REALLY don't see it that much... If at all.

Was caught off guard as I was driving to work today and they just casually dropped a new Rihanna song, that will appear in Black Panther 2, after six years of no new albums or singles from her.

I admit, it’s good, but will take me getting used to as it’s different from what I normally hear from her. I need to sometime actually go through all her albums, I’m obviously familiar with her hits but sometimes artists‘ non-hits appeal to me even more (I remember this being the case with Green Day’s American Idiot, the hits ranged from mid to pretty good, but most of the non-hits kicked ass).
