Level 39 woo, so close to 45. Now the only issue is god damn money. Can't level up any equipment due to cost of upgrading is like 2 gold. So I guess I will try to power through the last few chapters in the next coming days.

Those costumes seem really tame, specially when we are talking about BnS. Don't worry though I am sure we'll get these costumes this year. (they've got your pink and hearts)

Hey, so, I've been wearing the Pinchy Soul Shield since I got it because holy fuck dat crit. I'm 43 now and I want to upgrade because I only have 7k hp as a summoner and while I've still been soloing/duoing perfectly fine, I don't like losing 1/2 to 3/4ths of my hp in one hit.
What should I do?
I was thinking wait til 45 and get the Moonwater 45 shield, but then I'd lose a tooooooon of crit. Worth it?

My only issue comes when I get that itch to grind for a costume... Like I think I did ToE for 3 hours last night for those freaking infernal horns and still didn't get them... My want for those horns are strong.

I legit had 45 gold deva essences and did not land the outfit just the headwear lol
7k is really low for 43 (I think I had around 11k), but you are so close to 45 you might as well wait it out. Losing that crit will be worth it when everyone else at 45 is running around with almost 40k.
Try the lvl 42 Profane soul shield? Lots of crit and a big HP boost compared to the one u have now.
I'd say survivability is more important than crit while you're leveling. Rather than spending hours trying to complete my set in tombs I went with the moonwater vendor shield. When I hit 45 I immediately went to farm the PvP soul shield in Misty Woods.

Yeah, I've seen other people with a ton of hp, but goddamn I'm a die hard damage whore.

You could do what I did and farm ToE for the heroic soul shards there then fuse the scorpion shard into that. Level 39 with 14k hp helps a lot.

Do I have to pvp to get that shield, or is it one of those "farm npcs of the opposite faction" things? And yeah, I'm skipping every set that isn't 45 (ToE, the lower level Moonwater set, etc).

.You're farming the npc of the opposing faction. Check the channels as usually one or two of them have cerulean groups farming them.

Well because they are only wearing shirts and just straight up sexual, and i find that weird in a game thats about ninjas and stuff like that. So to me it feels out of place and creepy because it is made to be straight up sexual.
Like i rather not make this thread like all of other ones on this subject, they never end well. Like i said it is BnS so it is kinda expected from them.

Are there any costumes like that though? So far random chance is pretty much the only thing stopping you from "earning" outfits that I've seen. Is there anything in the game that you get rewarded from because it's an actual challenge few will complete?

Random chance and money. If something finally drops in a dungeon you still need to have the most money to win it. I haven't bought an outfit yet, but I am sure I will eventually. Too many in game right now for me to focus on.

I would say those JP costumes are vaguely pornographic, not in that they show tons of bare skin, but the implication of sexual themes is very strong.
Ironically, stronger than stuff like Stinger which, while lewd, is simple fanservice. I could see those Sweet Valentine girls being on JAV DVD covers. Stinger? Not so much.

The Specter dresses from Viridian coast are purely earned. Farm Blackram or Bamboo insignias for a bit.
RNG seems to love me in this game so far. I'm scared if I later really want something, I need thousands of hours to get it because I used all my RNG Luck already

Not quite what I meant. Yes you earned that, but that's just grinding. I don't feel proud that I grinded for a particular item. I'm talking about an outfit you can wear and someone will see it and go "Holy shit he beat X"

Mushin's Tower has costumes for defeating specific floors.
There are some costumes gated by achievements (the killing 1000 opposite faction player's mask as an example).
There is stuff if you go looking for it.
Hmm... I believe there's a costume drop on one of the floors in Mushin's tower. I believe it's RNG, but at the very least people will know that you managed to complete that floor.
Those would mean more if people didn't cheese them.
