Just grab a PS3 down the line when they're cheaper. If you're a PS+ subscriber, be sure to download the PS3 titles as they come along.

I think you'd dig Afterburner Climax and the two horizontal shmups whose names escape me for now. The PS3 does have a fucking killer library.

Oh yeah, you don't really have another TV to play on do you. That does make it tricky. I got a canny decent little Toshiba LCD for my room for like £100. It's only 19" which sound way too small, but you'd be surprised when you're sitting in front of it. I've had no issues whatsoever reading small text or anything.

Plus, small screens tend to flatter the image, games look better on my little TV than they do downstairs to be quite honest. And a smaller screen also means less input lag. Win win!

Also, isn't Resogun the only game you're digging at the minute? It's just seems such a shame for you to miss all that gaming goodness from the last gen. Granted a lot of them will get HD remasters, but some of those little hidden gems won't.

Fuck it, you could probably even trade in AC4 and Shadowfall and get a preowned PS3. That way you keep your PS4 and remote play.

Adding to the video games talk, spent most of yesterday doing little but. Played a buttload of GTA, trolling up a storm and giggling like a maniac. This time I sat on top of the docks in the far south as someone was trying to deliver a car, having booby trapped the area waiting to obliterate the poor fucker rather than let him get the $10k reward. Meanwhile I have a bounty on me, so people are coming from all over trying to fuck me up. I manage to snipe the delivery driver while constantly blowing up the people trying to climb ladders to kill me (occasionally removing myself from the radar to really confuse them before blowing them up again). Eventually got tired of it, jumped off the roof and drive-by stickied the valuable car before logging off, dinner was ready.

Also played Metro Last Light and bummed myself. On the surface, completely out of air for my mask, autosaved. FUCK. Oh well, game was only OK, I don't need to finish it I guess.

My niece is 8 months old and she's obsessed with iPhones. It's almost frightening how quickly they gravitate towards them and learn how to use 'em. We have a two year old niece that can fly around an iPad like nobodies business.

We too have a jungle jumperoo jobby! Does yours have big boggly eyes that roll around on it by any chance? We also have one of those door-mounted catapult things that I'm looking forward to trying out. Can't wait until we can start teaching her things, see if I can get her levelled up as much as possible before she starts school. You can definitely get ios supported monitors, bri and I thought about one but the general advice we got is that you'll be tempted to check it constantly when you're out which massively detracts from your 'unwinding time'.

I played the demo of Spelunky....and it's just not for me. I can see that it's great game, but it's also one that would frustrate me, and therefore I wouldn't enjoy it. Looks great on dat OLED tho'.

Any weekend plans? Thinking I need to complete some games to make room for south park abd infamous. Got like 10 games on my backlog and find less and less time to play. If it is nice out, hopefully some time at the park.
