Nice OT. (Wait, isn't this collection also on Steam? You don't currently list "PC" as one of the platforms...)

Excited to play these games!

COTM was so bad bruh plz tell me why u like that shite
Yeah I started playing it recently and couldn't get into it.

Then tried HOD and skpped that.

Aria is it for me though. I like it and DOS. Order of Ecclesia is good too but I DIdn't like the weapon system in that. Felt like you were forced to just use two of the same thing on each hand.

Picked this up last night, playing tales of arise currently, then I'll probably play lost judgment & then I'll finally give this a go!

Might do Dracula X first and then work through the advance games in order of release.

Only ever played Aria of Sorrow, and never all the way through.

Started Circle of the Moon - seems pretty basic but I'm liking it well enough so far.

Great OT. I just bought this yesterday and gave it a quick spin. I really like they included all three localized versions of all three games so I can play each of them and compare. It's a shame I can't share saves between each other, but I understand bthat would be difficult to do.

Anyway, I'm glad Konami is rereleasing them and doing good job with them as well. Hopefully this sells well so Konami can release more collections. There are still some games that have never been rereleased.

Will pick this up after I finish Kena and Actraiser. Probably better suited to the Switch's small screen, yes?

Ive got it for Xbox, playing on 65 inch. Pixel perfect mode. Looks crisp. If you cant handle the pixels go Switch.

Is Dracula X worth playing if you've already played Rondo? It's the only 2D Castlevania I haven't played cause I was always under the assumption that it was a poor man's Rondo.

Might pick this if there is a retail version. Otherwise I will stick with my Wii U versions, they are already perfect.

This being done by M2 makes the collection a must buy.

Aria is just as good as Symphony of the Night - this is the star of the show.
Circle is just ok and Harmony is too easy - but they are still worth playing.

SNES Drac X is a weird addition but I guess they didnt know where else to collect it. I remember being so disappointed by that game when I rented it in the 90s, comparing it to Castlevania IV - and even more disappointed when I played the real Drac X a decade later. I hope they re-release the real PCE Drac X/Rondo on more modern consoles - pretty sure its only on PS4 right?

Castlevania: Anniversary Collection had some rough menus on the PC version so I'm hoping those are addressed in this release. Now all Konami needs to do is a Silent Hill compilation and we're all happy.

No, no more SH collections, please. We don't want to feel that pain all over again.

I'm addicted to those high end CRT filters in RetroArch now and I made a pretty sweet one for GBA games as well so I think I'll stick with PC for these.

Put a good 2 hours into Circle of the Moon yesterday. Still holds up. The Super Metroid gameplay loop is still one of the best out there.

Circle of the Moon with a backlight is straight up cheating, lol. And thank God for the option that highlights enemies that drop cards. Fuck random drops to the end of the Earth, then fuck them off some more to outer space.

The gameplay loop is still nice, but the game is so stiff. I forgot so much about COTM. That stone-breaking power, lol. What a cheap way to bar progression. Not to mention those crates...

I can finally play Dracula X again. :)

I mean, I could with emulators, but it's not the same as on a console.

Just Sillent Hill 2 emulation would be better at this point.

Circle of the Moon gets too much hate. It's definitely the weakest of the three gba games but it's still a damn good game. If it had the back dash I would put it on the same level as Harmony of Dissonance, but still a notch below AoS

Nah, not really. It might be fun to see how Dracula X bastardizes Rondo, but it's a pretty average Castlevania game.

In which order should I play these? Release date?

I would say either Harmony or Aria. Pretty solid games.

Circle is a mix bag in a bad way. Has some serious drop issues and magic builds are kind of dropball, you gonna aways be dry on mp even with very little use.
