Well done Steam users! We certainly gave the Xboxers something to be proud of this month. They owe us all a Thank You!
If not, it will be soon.GT7 two months on the bounce in NPD top 20. US not the best market for racing games so I’m surprised. Even with the movie effect.
I think it must be close to, if not not passed, 10m by now.
I think it's gonna be hard, it'll be competing against the first party Modern Warfare 3.
Larian games aren't tracked by any of the sales trackers. A shame really, one of the biggest realeses missing from the charts.Wow, I don’t usually follow sales, but BG3 not even among the top 20 games sold in 2023?
Man You PlayStation fanboys take starfield very personally.
Spider-Man will win October and November.. it’s okay
It says they are tracking Steam so how come they can’t track BG3.Larian games aren't tracked by any of the sales trackers. A shame really, one of the biggest realeses missing from the charts.
They are tracking steam but it only works if the publisher is sharing that information. It says they are tracking Steam so how come they can’t track BG3.

But that would also extend to other games on the respective charts, not just BGS's games.
Gran Turismo are always slow burners.GT7 two months on the bounce in NPD top 20. US not the best market for racing games so I’m surprised. Even with the movie effect.

These are estimations i use from Installbase, since they have the NPD numbers for PS4 and Xbox One up to and including 2016 then we basically know the YTD and LTD numbers at the end of July, because the July report announced that PS5 was 5% ahead of PS4 launch aligned and XBS was 10% behind XBO aligned and The Switch had Just passed Wii's lifetime at the end of July (which is 41.78M) then i just added the estimations from welfare (Installbase sales expert) for August and September.Posted in here a few times
Talking points straight from phil spencer's ass to your mouth.
Keep up the good work, soldier!
Anyone with a PC won’t buy an Xbox. Any Xbox game is on PC day and date.Starfield not being enough to push XS to #1 and only giving it a single digital % increase YoY is really not a good sign for Xbox as a hardware business. I'd love to see a breakdown in sales/users between Xbox and PC to confirm.
If (the admittedly mid) Starfield can't do it, I'm not sure anything can.
Funny that I hear defenders of game pass continuously say that you can still buy games on Xbox, yet apart from PC gamers, no one on Xbox (where they push game pass hardest) are BUYING GAMES! I truly wonder why that is...?!?Seems like Microsoft has successfully killed their console sales with their business strategies.
Bruh, the game also released on Gamepass. If console sales were as important to Microsoft as it is to say, Sony, then they wouldnt have released on Gamepass. Its still selling an ass load and doing very well. And it isnt even close to done selling copies. You don't think it's poor that xbox couldn't sell more during a big exclusive launch? Don't take it as a personal attack. Its simple facts. Are you telling me it's a good thing that xbox got outsold almost 200k by its competitor during one of its biggest exclusive games in years? Is it a good thing that xbox is up only 12k yoy in the same month when there was major shortages and no big exclusive last September? Simple facts my guy. Imagine if it was the other way round. People would be saying PS was on its deathbed. Why should xbox get a pass ? Because fanboys like you get triggered by reality?
I wonder where BG3 would have charted if it was included"Publisher Larian Studios is not a member of the Digital Leader Panel, therefore digital sales of Baldur's Gate 3 are not reflected in the best-selling titles chart"
Without numbers, this may as well be a passing tumbleweed. We have no clue if it is selling "an ass load". We just know it sold enough in September to lead the chart for the month. Its still selling an ass load
Who exactly isnt buying the g.........Lol. You know what? Im good. Have at it my guy.Funny that I hear defenders of game pass continuously say that you can still buy games on Xbox, yet apart from PC gamers, no one on Xbox (where they push game pass hardest) are BUYING GAMES! Without numbers you have no clue its NOT selling well either. I'll say this; there's more evidence that its selling well than not.Without numbers, this may as well be a passing tumbleweed. Most people on PC don’t buy games on the Xbox app, so MS loses out on the revenue share cut to Steam too.Funny that I hear defenders of game pass continuously say that you can still buy games on Xbox, yet apart from PC gamers, no one on Xbox (where they push game pass hardest) are BUYING GAMES! I did. Sold my Xbox and built a PC (5600/6700xt). Now its upgraded to a 7600x/7900xt buildWow so many people bought a new PC?!?
PS5 still #1.
Well, that's pretty much it then.
Also, Starfield at #7 on the yearly list is bad performance. By EOY, when AC Mirage, FC 24, Spider-Man 2, AW2, COD MW3, and Avatar etc. get included in these lists, Starfield will likely be out of the top 10.
Most importantly, it didn't sell the Xbox consoles and subscription also didn't grow? lol.
Also happy to see FC24's performance. I can't believe I'm rooting for EA here lol.

Y'all will literally, conveniently forget whole ass point of facts to paint this "failure" narrative.
I think you're right about AW2, but AC Mirage might end up surprising us. Let's see.AC Mirage and AW2 aren't gonna be burning the charts.
The one thing that this release made me realize is that MS didn't win anything from keeping this away from Playstation. It would be interesting to know how Starfield would have sold on the PS5...^^
It's always ironic to read who takes what "personally". Just a pointer, if you are saying this, you are feeling this.

Clearly you didn't read what I wrote- I said ON XBOX people clearly aren't buying games (where they push game pass on their front page every fucking time you turn on the console), but you continue defending that lovely big corporation, my guy.Who exactly isnt buying the g.........Lol. You know what? Im good. Have at it my guy.
What's funny about this is that in the past, people have said in the past that a game flopped or sold poorly because the legs were poor despite being in the top 10 best-sellers list.Best selling game of the month. 7 overall for the year. Day one Gamepass game and STILL people are trying to downplay its success.
ALWAYS MOVING THE GOAL POSTS FOR MICROSOFT.
You’re right, it does.So I'm guessing everyone who bought early access, including gamepass players get added to the sales charts?
Finally MS gets some sales success in its home territory.
US&A... and Fifa is still 3rd?
Ok weird month....
"Feel better". I mean, you're out here calling folks fanboys and claiming people are taking things personally. All your own issue, my friend.call me whatever makes you feel better. I’ve been called a fanboy of every console at one time or another.
I thought so too. A Pyrrhic victory - if at all^^The one thing that this release made me realize is that MS didn't win anything from keeping this away from Playstation.
Xbox consoles didn't make more sales because of it. If you wanted to play on PC you wouldn't buy a PS5 anyway....so the only thing they got was less game sales and cut around 40/50M potential buyers from them.
But that's just it, you said it's selling "massive numbers" with nothing to back that up. I never said it was selling bad/good. Could be bad/good/massive. We don't know.Without numbers you have no clue its NOT selling well either. I'll say this; there's more evidence that its selling well than not.
For console sales what do xbox even have coming that can change things?
Can't see abk drops on GP moving the needle much.
Hellblade? Avowed?
Next year is gonna just as brutal as this year.
"Issue"? "Out of nothing"? This is a discussion board my man, and we are discussing. Not sure what you're on about. We also have a big list of games it has already outsold this year.
Why are you making an issue out of nothing here?
Circana / NPD have stopped reporting exact figures for year(s) now. Take it up with them.

All the money is going in Microsoft's pocket so what's your point?Sales come mostly from Steam, not Xbox Store

You’re right, it does.
