What does this mean? If I buy a digital game after tomorrow, I will no longer earn any stars? If so, I'm buying Duck Hunt today, as I was planning on getting it next week...

If I had to guess, it sounds like if a game was released prior to 1/20/2015, you will receive coins / stars for it. I'm not sure exactly how digital will work though. Obviously, retail games will have the codes in the packages.

Aww man, I don't know if I should open my Bayonetta 2 First Print Edition & Zelda WW HD Limited Edition just for those codes... I don't think there is something worth it in the European star catalogue. Also have one code from Skyward Sword still.

EDIT: Just checked, best I could get that is that Pikmin keychain or Nintendo Points... and that's after buying the Wii U for extra 1000 stars.

The sword got snapped on mine too. Mum always told me not to play football indoors.

I was able to put it back together with some craft glue so you couldn't really tell now.

In the UK, program is used for software programs, computer programming etc. Everything else is programme.

That said more recently its getting more interchangeable.

and now that 15,000 stars purchase is worthless. the way Ninty valued those games a consoles was terrible anyway so again not much of a loss. I don't even think the 3000 stars I have atm will get me anything even decent.

On the original Wii, Nintendo tracked your games (physical or digital) and play time when the user used the Nintendo Channel.
Borrowed games still give incorrect data, though...

Really hope this is going to lead to a nice unified online service. I have quite a few 3DSes, I really should be able to seamlessly share digital content between them. Similarly, Virtual Console purchases should carry across platforms. I think they'd sell a lot more games if people new they were building a digital library that they could keep forever on future Nintendo platforms.
