I took a picture of this the other day and thought I would share. About 10 years ago, I had Peter Laird draw me all four turtles and Splinter. (He did it for free too. Pretty incredible.) Then I framed them all and gave it to my brother.

Wonder Woman was excellent.
They're ramping up the story for a big, grand finale. I love how they handled Hera. I hope to see Zeus' return at some point too.
Any word yet who the creative team will be after Azzarello and Chiang leave?

It's gonna be David and Meredith Finch, I believe.

Her first issue of Wonder Woman will be her second writing credit. Ever.

Oh my god. That is amazing. Best part is the sketching each character with their mask color.

Omg, this scene in Harley 4 just made it into my top 3 of the month. What's with the new artist though?

Edit, read all of it. This is the issue that really solidifies this book as something special. This is the issue where they really found their stride.

My MAN!

Hopefully the art goes back to usual next month. Not that it's bad but the usual art is better.

So Matt Fraction's run on Hawkeye is starting to wind up:-

Seriously. It was a great achievement. He was at a comic convention in Philadelphia. My dad and two of my brothers stood in line and asked him to draw us each a different turtle. Later, I went back and asked him if he could draw Splinter (gotta complete the set). He told me he was a little rusty on drawing Splinter because he usually didn't and then just nailed it.

Can you make a profit selling current comics on ebay? I don't plan on saving anything I'm buying right now and it'd be nice to get some of this money back.

I think it depends on what you have, complete story runs and stuff like that probably will make a little money, but probably not what you put into it.

Do you have a local comic shop nearby? I've found my shop to buy most issues at .25-.50 cents an issue, and you don't have the hassle of shipping the books and dealing with buyer feedback and all that. Plus, my shop gives me slightly more if I choose store credit.

But if eBay is your only option, be prepared to deal with anal collectors who want perfect books because that can happen.

That is legitimately fucking rad. I've asked for small sketches from artists that I've loved and gotten dogshit, so I'm even more impressed with Laird and the sketches. You're a cool ass brother.

Guys, Batman and Aquaman was SO GOOD. Patrick Gleason draws an awesome Arthur and the story actually tied back to Inc and Morrison's run in general.

I sell a lot on ebay, there is rarely profit to be made. Even buying books with DCBS' 40% off discount i barely break even in most cases. Usually six issues of a book will go for $8-15 depending on the series.

Ha! Why do they have breasts?!?? By the laws of man and nature it's wrong.

I would feel embarrassed buying that shit at the shop.

Yo, Tomasi's run is an extension of Morrison's and it's following up on that Ras Al Ghul thread. This series is damn good, and the Gleason art is dominant. Can't wait for the Bruce and Ras showdown.

Winter Soldier The Bitter March is really damn good you guys, even with Bucky in the background as a stone cold assassin. Some really cool discussion about in #2 about communism between Shen and the female scientist, and
Dr. Mindbubble showed up when he was a normal hippie scientist haha, him and Iron Nail were friends even when they were with SHIELD
Seems like Remender is really having fun with this mini, it's almost better than his main Cap run.

Daredevil was awesome too, love Matt and Kirsten working together and that epic cliffhanger
What's up with Foggy???

Yeah I did know that, I pick up the odd issue here and there. I just wanted to Birdie out for a minute.

Damn, I am pretty damn jelly.

On a related note, about 6 months ago I was in Michigan and went to a comic shop on 14 Mile and saw that they had a copy of Raphael #1 (the first appearance of Casey Jones) and it was only $10. I usually see it going for more than double that so I picked it up. When I got back to my apartment I noticed that it appeared that Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird MAY have autographed the inside cover.

Of course it would be impossible for me to prove and I find it hard to believe that the comic shop owner NOR the person who sold it to the comic shop never saw it, but the ink of the signature is different from the ink of the print and I did a quick Google search of their signatures and it matched up pretty well.

Ah, okay, awesome. I get really happy when more people read Batman & Robin and love it. It's the underground Batman comic that's doing the best things plotwise.

Hey, ComicsGAF. Supposing I were looking to read comics with Doom's best appearances, which comics would I want to read?

Is Remender's Cap run worth checking out?

mostly yes, the Dimension Z arc was good and recommendable, but the issues after that not so much. I'd say read it on Marvel Unlimited if that's an option, if not, buying the first trade isn't a terrible decision.

I would point you to the Waid/Wieringo arc "Unthinkable," which is my personal favorite Doom story. Books of Doom is a retelling of the origin story, I enjoyed that one a lot as well. Triumph and Torment is another classic. Finally, though I'm not sure how generally well-regarded it is, Doom 2099 will always hold a special place in my heart.

He features heavily in the first volume of FF, and that's supposed to be good too, but I haven't read it yet.

Profound sadness. I'll miss Hawkeye when it's gone. Hopefully we get a second OHC soonish after the finale.

See, we're all mistaken in our assumption that the series is going away. Fraction is leaving, but they'll turn it over to Bendis & Land to continue building the legacy of Clint and Kate!

I can't wait for Kate Bishop's porno face.

Yes, Dimension Z is great, after it gets kind of slow but now that Dr. Mindbubble is in the game, things are starting to pick up again.

Have you read The Bitter March yet? I'd say it's moving along at a better pace than the current arc. Very pulpy and with a great espionage beat. Remender's doing good work here.

I want to be surprised at the lack of Aja interiors, but I know fully well that the dude takes too long... At least we get Wu.

I hope it's not the end but at least the series had a great run. The delays killed the flow, but I think it's gonna be a good read once it's all collected in trades.

I'm going to catch The Bitter March when i resubscribe to Marvel Unlimited later this year, it didn't make the dcbs pre-order list.

How do you guys choose what to put on your pull list? FFFffuuuuuuu I want to keep it to like 10-13 books a month.

who knows anymore.

Marvel got me to buy more books when they added digital codes since i now keep the digital copy and sell my issues instead of waiting for a trade, the rest i read on MU whenever they get their.

Image i pre-order what i most want to read, buy the first issue of things that look interesting and get the trade if they turn out well.

DC i'll buy a couple comics that i want the most, especially if there are combo packs like Batman and Johns' Superman, then i'll trade wait what looks to be the BEST of the rest and just forget about everything else since they don't have an Unlimited service and their trade releases are too infrequent to care about most of the time.

The best way to keep your pull list down to 10-13 titles a month is to ignore any book that gets involved in crossovers or events, unless you want to read the event of course.
