Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Duskbloods all run at 30 FPS on Switch 2

From memory, don't know the full list:
- Fast RMX
- ARMS
- Splatoon 2 (dynamic though)
- Super Mario 3D World
- New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe
- Super Smash Bros Ultimate
- Super Mario Bros Wonder
- Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze

The games like Super Mario Party, Jamboree, Mario Party Superstars should run at 1080p 60 too but no one made an analysis of these games
Off the top of my head also:

- Prince of Persia The Lost Crown
- Mario Strikers
- Ori & the Blind Forest
- Thumper
- Splatoon 3 (Dynamic)

Also tons of indies.

Switch 2 is exposing what an utter potato the SteamDeck is for the asking price

I also wonder why people play games on consoles if they're available on PC since they're playing inferior versions. But hey, to each their own I guess.
I should have pointed out it was more on the price of the games on switch 2. I think Cyberpunk is going to be $60-$70 which makes no sense as u can buy it on PS or Xbox or PC for much cheaper and get a much better experience.

The regular price of Cyberpunk and the DLC is $90 combined on Steam. Although it often goes on sale for roughly half that.

I do kind of wonder how much control a publisher has on the price at any given moment on a digital store. It's weird how games basically don't get permanent price cuts anymore. Only sales.

I expected third party old game's ports to run better thanks to the magic of DLSS. Guess I was naive.
well, first off DLSS aint gonna make an ugly ass game pretty. It's an AI upscaling solution, Your 540p image being upscaled to 1080p is still gonna show bits of that 540p. Moreover they can't just run everything at 540p high settings and get automatic 1080p because of dlss, the upscaler just doesnt work that well. A lot of the hype over DLSS on Switch 2 honestly felt a bit overblown to me because it's really not magic even if it's the best.

But secondly we hardly even know if they're using it or not. For all we know all of these ports came out with no DLSS on the box and people are overreacting.

We should see how the system holds up later in the gen

With the ps portal i will always play games at home on my handheld..

The switch 2 is to play nintendo exclusive switch 1 and 2 games on the best possible quality.

My uncle at Nintendo sent me this leaked screenshot of it in action.

RVLMfaa.jpeg

/S before anybody comes at me.

In all seriousness I'm interested to see some detailed analysis of how it performs in the retail version as this is one have that is pushing a lot.

Also will be interesting to see if Nintendo censor the character creator
Nintendo won't censor it. It's up to the publisher. I am 200% sure they'll allow it.

There's no point even arguing with them. Whenever someone says "looks like a PS3 game" it's a sign their opinion is beyond redemption.
High end PS3 games look good at high resolution. It's not an insult. Just not hyping the graphics to something it's not.

Cyberpunk devs said they only got dev kits like 3 months ago, pretty impressive this is what they managed in that timeframe actually.

stop saying its out of date hardware. It's not like they took the old chip did nothing and released it. Its got all kinds of new features for gaming and AI.. Im not happy about the price either im more conserned with the game costs not the hardware. Anyone saying it's just an old chip are just looking to hate.
I won't stop saying it because it's true. It's out of date hardware on an out of date process node. Nintendo are using a process node that is worse than the process node used by the ps5/xbsx when they released almost 5 years ago. It's out of date overpriced garbage.

AMD's entire GPU department is out of date at least 6 years.

the Switch 2 has more forward thinking and more modern hardware features than any of the AMD based consoles

Nintendo fans will.

Those gamers highly value portable gaming at the sacrifice of good specs and gaming performance. Hence why their handhelds always sold a shit ton of units. At least, it could be expected in the past when their hardware (both consoles and handhelds) are always dirt cheap vs the competition.

But the real test now is Switch 2 is at PS5/SX prices. And some games will be $80 US ($90 if they want physical). It'll be interesting how much sticker shock affects sales, or if the gamers and families buying Nintendo stuff just go with it with price being no object.
This isn't a case of sacrificing specs for portability. It's a case of being cheap af. They're using Samsung 8nm when Sony/Microsoft used TSMC 7nm(a better node) almost 5 years ago. Most mobile devices are on tsmc 5nm or tsmc 3nm. Both of which would offer better performance, better battery life, a smaller chip, etc. Like I said in my other post, it's out of date, overpriced garbage with first party games that look worse than many mobile games.

Yeah until I see other handhelds that outputs at 4K and 120 fps with DLSS and RT for 450, I wouldn't call the Switch 2 an outdated garbabe.

None of that will be happening at all in any demanding games. We can already see Cyberpunk running at 540p with lows to 23fps. We can see the same with other 3rd party games locked to 30fps. The ROG Ally X already delivers significantly more performance than the Switch 2 and it's been on the market for almost 2 years.

they only now have a reconstitution method on par with that RTX20 series GPUs support.

their newest GPU gets outperformed by RTX30 series mid range GPUs when path tracing is enabled
You must be seriously clowning. Even DF calls FSR4 better than DLSS 3 and they're one of the most biased news source on the web. As for path tracing, thats something that will never happen on the switch 2.

Surely nobody seriously expected 60 fps in Cyberpunk. It's more of a miracle that it works on switch 2.
They managed to reach 30 fps in just 7 weeks, now they are targeting 40 in performance mode for the launch in two months. 60fps is not out of reach.

Lack of OLED, 30fps, 1080p, struggles to run AAA third party games potentially like the Switch 1.

you are explaining a handheld. a handheld that is very much on par with its current year perrs.

people have a weird definition of 10 years behind the competition it seems

I wonder too in what capacity can it run Lumen and Nanite
Honestly if you can get an AAA UE5 game running at low resolution/compromised details @30fps in handheld mode that should be a considered win as it would cover a lot of this gen.

I just would like to see an example...

There were plenty more, just like a lot of people were saying the system would be $399 and after the price reveal, the same people are saying that they were expecting 499 but $449 is fine.

I mean, these games had a PS4 version, and we have yet to see how they run on the Switch 2, June is coming soon tho.
You were right about it being 449, and if people are lying about predictions I'll tske your word for it.

But I was talking about was this:

Nintendo users are still saying that, just look at this thread.

And it will be able to run GTAVI and do DLSS at 4K and 60fps.
4K and 60fps machine, similar to PS5 specs.

at just $399.

Letzzz Gooooo.......... Lol!
120Hz Screen, VRR, HDR, 4K and 60fps all in the palm of your hands for $399 with Nintendo making huge profits

Believe!!!
4K
60fps - 120fps
120Hz Screen
HDR, VRR
$400 and Nintendo making a Huge profit

I choose to believe, LOL!!
You would enter threads and bring up a spec list that no one in thread had said, and then mock it. Because you didn't think the Switch 2 would be able to run a single thing at 4k 60fps.

Well actually it can. So Switch 2 is at the price you expected (or was before the tarrifs) but way more capable than you expected.

That's a good thing no?

It's a $450 handheld.
Were people expecting it to run current gen games at 60fps?
Cyberpunk and Elden Ring don't even run at locked 60fps on the PS5/SX (well Elden Ring does...if you run the PS4 version on Ps5)
It's a "next-gen" console that's more expensive than PS5 Digital that's now 4+ years old.

Yes, it should run the game better than a 4-year-old console, especially considering the console is more expensive.
