Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Duskbloods all run at 30 FPS on Switch 2

Will never buy a Nintendo system with regards to it being ideal for third party games…Lol! Not since SNES & GBA/DS have they had substantial support

Yeah, barely. I had a look on the PS4 Pro version, 970p-1188p at 20-30fps, and super blury vs a super early build

Nah, i m not a hater, i like Nintendo games, i ' m just not an idiot and it wasn't me who advertise yesterday 4k@120fps for a underpowered "console".
Metroid Prime 4 and Mario Kart both run at 4k60fps and look amazing.

Cyberpunk 2077 at least runs better than it does on the PS4 and Steam Deck and it's an early build like CDProject Red stated.

Seriously what are people expecting?

I'm sorry but playing games at below 1080p at 30fps is literally unplayable on a big screen 4k tv. It's like having vaseline over ur eyes. It's 2025 and standards should be higher for a 450 dollar console that wants to charge 70 to 90 dollars for games.
Playing 480i games locked at 60fps on a massive SD TV looks better than playing 4k games on a big screen 4k TV.
4k is the gaming problem, not the gaming solution.
Sony should be making gaming TVs/monitors that work at 480i/720p/1080p and selling them to Switch users.

Just a Reminder: CD Project Red put the FULL Cyberpunk 2077 game on a 64GB cartridge.

Switch 2 will be (even more of) a case-by-case of cheap-o asshole "Game-key" Publishers, when it comes to physical cartridges. I'm guessing there will be more of these Game-key editions considering Nintendo is actually making it a "Thing" this time around*

*these already existed on Switch 1 but were the vast exceptions

Why on earth would anyone want to play Cyberpunk and FF7 on an inferior console whilst being priced higher than the competition and getting a worse experience lol? Makes absolutely no sense.

I only care about 60 fps titles and titles like these were never stuff I'd play on Nintendo switch or steam deck.

You buy a switch 2 to play Nintendo games.

You buy a pc or ps5 to play everything else lol.

I also wonder why people play games on consoles if they're available on PC since they're playing inferior versions. But hey, to each their own I guess.

Cyberpunk looks AMAZING on Switch 2 and apparently that's not even the final build.

People asked for a better Switch. Nintendo gave you a better Switch, and yet some people still desperate to complain about something, anything.

Yakuza 0 runs at 4K 60fps? That's pretty wild for a handheld.

Last week it was " the switch 2 will never be able to run games like cyberpunk" now it's " but 30 fps! "

"Don't buy Nintendo Switch cause it's weak, but PS4 instead cause all of its games run at 120 fps on PC"

Lol go take a nap buddy
i have no problem with the hardware price ( even if i think its overpriced too ), i was going to buy one to play Nintendo exclusives that i like a lot, but since this price increase on their game i just jumped out the hype train, Nintendo games almost never go on sales and now they are U$ 90 ? Fuck off

"CD Projekt Red has confirmed to GVG that the Cyberpunk 2077 port is being developed internally. The build is only 7 weeks old and they plan on having a 40fps performance mode for launch. "

Someone should threadmark this. People keep spreading misinformation for shit thread clicks because they have a hate boner for Nintendo.

I wish there is a cry emoji on GAF. Lots of "please leave Nintendo alone" posts since yesterday.

People are looking for reasons to hate on Switch 2. It's running these games better than SteamDeck.

It is able to run Metroid Prime 4 at 4k/60 FPS.

The Switch 2 is a capable machine. It won't match the PS5 Pro, but that's obvious for a hybrid system under $500.
It won't even match the base PS5.

For the price, IT SHOULD be better than a Deck, but there's not a huge difference.

Naaaaah. Everyone thats not a Sonypony is pretty happy with the performance of the Switch. I don't own any current and modern game that I can run 4K60 on my Steam Deck and have it look as nice as it does on the Switch 2.

The only thing I find surprising here is that some people seem to have expected better?!

From a power restricted handheld with 2 gen old budget GPU hardware ....
For that kind of toaster hardware this is actually pretty good.

Very cool to see this. I think Switch 2 will surprise people. The thing will punch above its weight more often than not because developers are willing to put in the effort.

It's literally more advanced hardware than PS5, yet less powerful due to form factor constraints

How do they run on SteamDeck?

Are you really comparing a system that has been out for 3 years for one that hasn't launched yet. The Steam Deck is reaching its end of life and due for a refresh. Also, the Steam Deck launched with a library how hundreds of thousands of games, many of which are very cheap. How many games does your Switch 2 have?

I was going to say that it is pretty cheesy that Square was only doing Remake and not the Twin Pack... but then I realized that both games would take up the entire drive.

It's old cut down 8nm ampere gen hardware that has to survive on a drip feed of power.
The expectations of some people for such anemic hardware are just bonkers, even with DLSS.

Hardly anyone thought it would match PS5. The person I saw talk about that the most was you, saying other people thought that.

It is a lot more capable than you were expecting though right?

With the history of how things went down the FFVII moving from Nintendo to PlayStation, the novelty of owning a Nintendo cartridge of FFVII is enough for me. That being said, I sure hope there's a 1080p performance mode.

armazing

Yes, more advanced in whatever inside Switch 2.

Because Nintendo is getting whatever old leftover from Nvidia, they are not even customizing sh** , cheap silicone on an old outdated node.
What's inside Switch 2 is a 2023 SoC, clearly it was created after the 2020 RDNA 2 inside PS5, if my math are not wrong (2023 > 2020)

It's a customised chip based on ampere but with ada features. Ada came out after the PS5 did.

You clearly don't know what is in the Switch.
