Dark Souls II |OT| The Dark Souls of Dark Souls

My physical Black Armour Edition has arrived, I got number 1449 out of 2500 for the limited edition metal plate. Haven't opened so I don't know what the illustration on it is.
It'll stay wrapped for a while longer.

My progress so far:

Things Betwixt > Majula > Forest of Fallen Giants > Deep Pit > Grave of Saints > Heide's Tower of Flame > Cathedral of Blue

I was getting some
Anor Londo
vibes from Heide's Tower/The Catherdral, fighting the
Old Dragon Slayer
confirmed what I first thought when I read
the description for Sublime Bone Dust.
Heide's Tower is the flooded remnants of Anor Londo, thousands of years after the events of Dark Souls 1
. Pretty cool.
Also I guess Kindling the First Flame was the cannon ending of DaS, judging from the description.
They say these are the remains of a saint who cast himself into the bonfire. But we will never know for sure, for soot and ashes tell no story.

Man, I'm having a ton of fun in (location)
Belfry Luna
. Helped out a bro clear out the level, got invaded by two people and killed them both, then killed the boss. I'm not having any luck when I get invaded myself, but I'm damn good at helping my bros out against invaders.

I plan to go to that area today.
Finally got another Pharros key so I can unlock the way.

I have no idea what to do against
Executioner's Chariot. I walk in, skeletons are everywhere, I get hit by the chariot, skeletons finish me off.

well, no shit. this is interesting.

too bad I keep using those sublime items to boost the flasks.

Also, if you use the ascetic item, it revives all enemies, and they're boosted up to NG plus 2, if you use another, 3, etc...

It seems you can lose connection and go into offline mode without even knowing it. The only indication is messages, ghosts, bloodstains disappear.

Yeah, that was me last night for awhile. It is really all about timing more than anything else.

1. First off, go in a bit light. As soon as you are in, go left and take out the two skeletons that spawn and then run up and into one of the areas on the side to take cover in. Go up again and kill the Necromancer on the left and take cover again.

2. Now, run up until you see a skeleton archer on the right. Go take him out and take cover again. Block and then kill any skeletons following you and run up to see another Necromancer on the right and take him out.

3. Take cover and let the chariot go by again in order to damage any remaining skeletons. Finish what remains off and maybe take cover one more time before running up to pull the lever you will find on the left.

4. Take cover and watch the chariot hit the gate. At which point, you should immediately go in to get a few hits in. Now all you have to do is keep your distance and roll out of the way of attacks and dark damage and pick the Horse apart until he is finished.

Just found
my first Mimic
. It's funny
I hit every god damn chest I found and the one I didn't hit was a mimic
. Brilliant.

seriously, fuck this game. if you design enemies you can't hit with or without lock-on, FOR WHATEVER STUPID REASON, then why even continue?

Yeah. It frustrates me to no end. Pretty sure I only beat it by myself on pure luck.

talking about enemies you can't hit: the first crystal lizzard took me 100 tries..

even back in demon's souls I had these problems..

A couple quick questions about early game NPCs:

Even though I don't want to use the armor he has, should I still buy the armor off the dude hanging out in Majula since he restocks? I'm wondering if he has a better lighter armor since I've been working with my Wanderer Set since I started and haven't upgraded anything at all in hopes to find something better.

Also, can you get the sorcerer dude in No Man's Wharf to come back to Majula? Or if I want to buy more spells, do I have to travel all the way back to him?

Quoting myself because I went back to the area and the NPC isn't there now, and they don't seem to be in Majula either. Did they move somewhere else?

im at lvl 108 and im sittingon 120k souls. the danger is overleveling (so theres no coop) is still there? i heard this time, the mechanic would be different (based on total soules or somehting like that).

best part is, I managed to beat the small ones, turned my camera to lock onto the boss and the camera did a nice slow 360 spin, just to make sure I get brutally mauled.

Yeah. I've had the camera do some 360s on me as well. I don't even know why it does that. It's like it suddenly thinks its some CoD pro or something.

I've beaten the two bosses in the Anor Londo looking area. The Giant and the Pursuer. The guy on the ship. I don't want to try the three guys in the port/prison area again as they are a pain in the butt.

Where can I go next? Where should have become accessible?

Why don't you go back to Majula and look around again. You may find something.

Lol I thought the same. So easy. Looked so cool when you walked in too :(

It was nice to get one a little easier, though. I walked in and was like, 'oh shit, time to die.' Then I proceeded to absolutely wreck each one in a few hits with my mace. The worst part was the
wheelie guys, but even they went down in one swipe.

Building behind cat merchant is next easiest route.

My cousin gets pissed off at one game only and it took less than a week to break his first controller. The first dark souls he kicked his ps3 across the room. It's fucking hilarious to watch him get so mad over a damn video game.....

Nope way of the blue. I'm standing in the cell before the trio where the summon sign should be, but alas no sign...

And I have seen one player summon sign in 12 hoursof gameplay.

Was just wondering as that removes all white signs.

Assuming you aren't hollow, don't know what to say. I saw plenty of signs through my whole first playthrough.

Yeah was 1 slash on each one with fire longsword +10 was a slaughter house of bone.

So I'm just fucking stuck in a loop going to the
dragonriders
boss fight, dying and losing my souls. I'm up to about 10k at the moment and I just can't beat him and I don't want to give up on the souls. Is there anything else at all I can do? Can I go back to marula after running through the area up to the boss fight, use the souls I have to upgrade stuff/buy stuff, and come back and still eventually pick up my souls that are left at the boss fight?

Shit I have been hollow almost the entire game. I thought since you could be invaded as hollow you could summon. My bad, partial media blackout and such... Thanks and carry on.
