Destiny |OT39| Tainted Love

I want Destiny to play a big part in e-sports. Watching teams play ToO in twitch is so fun compared to watching Halo or COD competitions.

I just want everyone to remember, and maybe even ask Deej for clarification.

Keep in mind Bungie's terminology calls Dark Below and House of Wolves expansions.

I'm pretty sure House of Wolves was even called a Large Expansion before it launched.

So if you're expecting another TTK, you might want to reel it in a little bit. That, or someone should tweet Deej asking for clarification.

Can anyone find the terminology Bungie used when referred to what kind of expansion TTK was?

TDB and HoW were called "expansions" ... no mention of the word "large". TTK was called a "large expansion" IIRC.

I would find it very hard to believe that they would sell a $20 expansion in the fall. That is what I think.

Just sent goth a tip with the name PressSneak saying: '#jasonwasright Lucky we have real investigative journalists in the industry still unlike the corporate shill Destin'. All he said was yes he was right but his issue with is was... then he supposedly lost his train of though and then said buttshit. Thanks manchild.

Personally, I'm expecting $20 expansion but just a bit larger than House of Wolves in scope.

No way are we getting anything close to TTK in size.

He said the issue was that Jason didn't know about the content for this year and implied there wasn't any. Dunno if that's true or not

The spring content release will probably just be our lost strikes added into the rotation, a new strike or two, the existing gated exotics being unfurled, and maaaaaybe an update to old raids/PoE. But I'm not holding my breath for the latter.

sounds about right. I would love if they updated the old raids

You know, I said back in like September/October that I had no interest in rehashed Year 1 raid content going forward but I think I'd rather enter VoG again than King's Fall at this point.

You're missing the point. Light level raised! All that 320 chasing rendered meaningless! Chase a new meaningless number!

'new challenges'

The use of that word makes me think 'challenge modes.'
Templar-No Teleport
Atheon-?
Crota-Everyone use the sword once
Skolas-Never fail to pass the debuff

I posted about that earlier. Way less interested in LL fuckery than I am fixes to endgame, drop rate, and SBMM.

Good catch!

For some reason i still want a clear roadmap about the franchise. Not sure why. Maybe its really a mess most of the time.

I would be fine with.

New game - free content/dlc - large paid expansion, free content/dlc - New game

The new free stuff is probably going to consist of strike and maybe raid updates, unreleased exotics and the same old guns and armors with different color schemes and stats.
They're not going to create new assets and locations for free.

To be honest, as long as they update the first raid and the remaining strikes I'll be satisfied. The armor sets from the first raid are still the best looking ones.

I think even without the return of old raids, that other stuff would bring people back. I think all of the old strikes are superior to the new strikes if you don't cheese them. If they brought back old raids and PoE I would forgive bungie a lot because it would be a "we are sorry for not doing so well, so here's all this new PVE content as our apology" type thing.

I don't think that's happening. They're doubling down on the existing endgame and all the LL fuckery that entails. They're obviously fine with it and with bad drop rates.

Probably what we'll get in TTK2 this fall too.

Sigh. The Light System is soooo bad.

I think the community would forgive bungie if they brought gally back as a surprise, where they wouldn't announce and then when the update goes live, people are getting it out of engrams and raids, that would be amazing

The Light system is incredibly bad, yes. I really hope Bungie know that.

I went from playing 12+ hours a day to 0 because of it.

Lol no, Bungie would not be forgiven just because they brought back an overpowered heavy weapon.

I guess I'm in the minority, but if the spring update consists on updated raids I'll be disappointed for sure. Don't feel like replaying that content honestly... Also they used the word "new" on the blog, which leads me to think (and hope) that's not the case.

Especially because it's only really powerful in PvE, and it wouldn't have very much purpose in King's fall because of how all the bosses in King's Fall work.

It'd be fun for Nightfalls that have solar burn, and don't have Small Arms, or Specialist, but that's a pretty small niche.

It doesn't have to be. I think if they just made it less granular it would help a lot. Normal mode drops LL 310 gear, HM drops 320 gear. Then let regular legendaries drop anywhere in between. Make exotics always drop at the current maximum as well, regardless of the characters level.
