YOu win Destiny. Fuck you...

This is not fun at all anymore. I am a below average PVP player and getting shotgunned to the face every round or a group of snipers not moving out of starting position and picking me off is bull. Not to mention the lag and being shot through walls.

The matchmaking in this is terrible. I'm not even close to a 1.0 KD and yet can't get matched up with anybody that isn't a pro at this. NOT FUN.

I'm going to go find something fun to play since PVP is not that.

Another one bites the dust. I feel your pain

6v6 isn't fun for me anymore. Year 2 maps are bad - all made for Rift. 6v6 + Year 2 map = very bad. They really need 4v4. 3v3 can still be really fun and I think 4s would be great

I'm glad there are others that feel this way. I enjoyed Trials, while still bad I didn't feel this useless as these 6x6 matches. Maybe I'll just take a little break here and come back to focus on missions/bounties for modes that aren't sheer torture to me. I still need to suffer through some salvage for the trophy on my PS4 then no more bad game modes for this guy

I honestly think rift was 100 times more fun than clash. Clash is just stupid boring team deathmatch without any teamwork at all. People camp with snipers or crouch around corners with shotguns. Super boring. At least with Control you have to move around the map and play the objective. With rift we had a lot of teamwork on the gaf train, which I loved. Will get my characters to rank 5 and that's it.

+1
Loved IB Rift.
Teamwork with DGAF was amazing.

Clash is nice and quick though. Think I played six matches in less than an hour last night. Daily bounties done and went to bed.

LOL I love it when you go invisible but enemies still kill you anyway.
Ikr, sometimes they shoot in your general direction where you were before being invisible, which is fine, but i swear sometimes they keep following and shooting you when you moved away while invisible.

Edit: I was talking about PvE. Was sure you were until post below happened

Yea I had some really great moments in Rift. Escorting your carrier to the goal, there were some really bad ass moments that felt like a movie. Playing in a group was the purpose and it actually made for some impressive games. It also made for some really horrible games when the opponent carrier was super laggy and lagged his way in to score. But I'll take some impressive moments over none.

I think they should do Zone Control for IB honestly. Or...

A mixture! Zone Control, Clash, Rift in rotation. If you leave a game, you're timed out for joining for 20 minutes unless it's your first game leaving. You can add some rules like that so people wouldn't leave when it's not their fave mode. I don't know what Bungie's infatuation is with static / non-variable playlists. Trials can be rotating maps. IB can be rotating gametypes. What's so hard about that?!

Zone Control has become the ginger headed stepchild of the Crucible playlist

4v4 Elimination, first to win 7 games (or 5 even), with no heavy round, would be my ultimate Iron Banner game
4v4 Clash would also be a lot better than 6v6.

4v4 and control would be great. Let's keep elimination style game modes as far away from casual IB as possible.

IB wasn't really meant to be casual, though. It's Light Level driven and it was meant to serve as the true Crucible test prior to Trials coming out, where winning is everything. Before Bungie's recent changes with going back to Connection Based Matchmaking, Trials was actually the most casual game mode when SBMM was in full force.

4v4 control would be pretty fun on smallish maps. Just 4s in general.

Just quietly, but 343 is going to add Firefight to Halo 5.

That is what I want in Destiny. A firefight like mode. That isn't the arena in HoW(It was lamely executed IMO.)

I just want a mode where I can pick a large map, and random shit spawns in increasing waves and harder difficulty as well as increasing drops.

I think elimination automatically makes a game mode more hardcore as the stakes are much higher.

As for IB, I don't know what it was supposed to be, but it feels like it should be casual. It's 6v6, after all. And dying doesnt potentially cost you a whole game. Sure, there's light level advantages but that serves mostly to lock out weaker weapons than to increase challenge.

Sure, the games are quicker, but also way less fun. I'd rather have a 10 min control or rift match where I have fun and work with my team than a 7 min match of clash where all everyone does is camp with shotguns or snipers and then unleash supers (exaggerated obviously, but you get my point). I mean, just look at the gaf train. Yesterday almost nobody was talking. In Rift we communicated, did callouts and played as a team. People used their super to clear out the spark area or rift and escorted the carrier. The biggest difference with the gaf train in clash compared to randoms was that we basically won every game because kadey & co are amazing at pvp.

Also, I've never seen mercy in Clash. Almost every game I've played (on my own) was super close. Like, less than 1000 poinst. In rift with a full team of 6 we had quite a few mercy rule games and most games with a score difference of >5000 points.

I would love this. All Bungie needs to do is re purpose the new subclass starting missions and add wave after waves of enemies. Just use the pvp maps - I don't even need new ones.

Without the whole Trials aspect of having a card with wins/losses, it's not more hardcore, it's just another mode. Each game doesn't effect the next. Every game is brand new.

That's why a playlist style would be better and give it more variety. Clash, Control, Skirmish, Rift, Elimination, Salvage... have them all rotate to put more variety.

I hope they spend more time designing better maps for the next update because that's a huge part of the PvP experience.

Thanks for the run Death!

So Monte Carlo: send it or high caliber rounds for pvp?

Send it... to the vault :p

J/K, I'd rather have Send it personally. Bigger headshot boxes ftw since you're most likely not going to try to outplay a sniper with that gun.

Haha I thought it was good?

I'm gonna use it in conjunction with a 1ks. Just need it for medium range. As long as its better than my vendor Answering Chord or Pdx with counterbalance.

Doing last nightfall if anyone wants to join, low levels welcome. This NF is super easy.

If you want to use an exotic AR, then go for Zhallo.

Hey guys, remember the Speaker? That guy who seemed so important at the start of the game?

He talks like twice. Celebrity voice acting shot this game in the foot, didn't it?

I've been finding myself at odds with the Damage Ref...

At least thats what I'm assuming it is. Way too many times I notice that 1 of my pulses doesn't count. I'll only see two numbers pop up on my targets, but I see them flinch 3 times, and I see the bullet hit their bodies.

That said, I think I'm sitting around 12-2 as far as Iron Banner Solo queuing goes.

Been playing Defender the whole time, and it really feels like denying the enemy team heavy is crucial to success.

A couple people seemed to enjoy the last Sniper AA montage I made and I will continue to point out how broken this shit is until Bungie fixes it, so I made another one.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ptk9wpeqCEs

All but a couple of clips are from 1 session of playing IB yesterday.

I'd also like to point out that I'm using the Mida in a lot of these clips, the alleged gun that can stand toe to toe with snipers. Uh-huh, right.

Went for the sniping action.

Stayed for the multiple Trakan deaths.

I was actually thinking of Bungie bringing some form of Firefight into Destiny where you get swarmed with dropships spawning trash mobs and at the end of the round you'd fight a random Ultra with special abilities.

But they would have to put in custom games first with a sheer scale of customizable options. Half the charm of Firefight was creating these completely insane game types where you just set the speed to 300% with infinite ammo in your Fuel Rod and just wrecking shit. Without those options, we'd just end up with a bigger Prison of Elders.
