Why do people never talk about the crafted mace that has fire damage innate on it? I am rocking it and the axe.
But wouldn't the smart exploiters wait until the season actually started to do it?
Yeah it gets left out a lot. For raw damage it is better than the axe since mace damage is higher than axe damage. But, Sankis has the benefit of also having the ignore pain proc which is extremely good. If you can't dual wield i'd pretty much always use Sankis over the axe for the proc alone. Dual wield I'd always go Sunkeeper/Sankis.
Devastator has more raw damage but Sankis comes with the Ignore Pain proc which is very good. Devastator is a great weapon to have until you get Axe. Dual wield combo usually involves Sunkeeper plus Axe. 2h option is Maximus which is very, very good in 2.1.
Devastator is very much like Utar's Roar which gets underused due to Azurewrath, Sunkeeper and Rimeheart.

Reaper of Souls is much better than base D3, so for $20 that's a great deal to jump back in.

Monk is fine in regards to overall class balance in 2.1, the latest GR ranks show that well enough.

Yeah I'm actually stoked about monk builds that use a 2h. Should be fun. I'm hoping destiny doesn't kill my playtime.

I sold my house and am currently looking buy another. As of now I'm at my parents and my PS4 is connected to my main TV in my room. The computer room is seperate. I should still be able to have late night sessions while the wife sleeps and I don't have access to my PS4.
I haven't been paying attention to demon hunter in particular, but I assume there are a lot more options now for T6 if you want to do that (I'm pretty sure I saw a great strafe build somewhere but I never bothered to read further). However, if you are set on going for the highest GR ranks you are going to be stuck with Marauder.
You can still have massive Dodge numbers in this game if you want (Agility rune on a Mantra plus Guardian's path) but now Dexterity gives Armor instead of Dodge which is way, way better.
Dodge was a poor mechanic in a game where the stuff that actually kills you was undodgeable.
Dodge changes are because Dex is becoming an actual defensive stat. Works exactly like strength now (so you get armor from dex).
Transmog item is the only other thing.
There's a Transmog set and some Season exclusive Banner icons.
The real reason why there isn't too much Season exclusive content is because the D3 forums stirred a shit storm over Season exclusive items. There are still people who hate the idea of Seasons because of exclusive Legendaries even if they are timed exclusive.
I have a few questions regarding 2.1:
- Does the RoRG still exist? Do I need to go bounty hunting to obtain it again?
- Is the SoJ unchanged and thus still BiS?
- I hear there's an item that can add a socket to a weapon. It doesn't replace an affix but adds the socket to the already existing affixes? So weapons without sockets are more valuable?

Yes and yes if you don't have it already.
SoJ doesn't give you the secondary bonus of more max resource in 2.1. It's not BiS because there are items like Unity and buffed previous Rings. Some Rings can have 5 affixes and could theoretically out DPS SoJ.
Yes and yes. You can always enchant a socket off a weapon if it does have a socket and then add the Gift.

Yeah just went down for me as well. I'm leveling up an alt during this mess (Hardcore player here, not gonna risk my lvl 70s).
If they're still getting hit with the Liquid Squad (or whoever) DDoS attacks there is approximately jack shit they can do.

ready hop back in, haven't played much since April.
Prepare to be really mad. Called this shit yesterday, I'd expect this to probably go on for days. Since seasons aren't probably going to start until at least Thursday or Friday I'm probably just going to completely bow out for now. The fact that this patch is coming so late is ridiculous, I still maintain they should have just put out Seasons (without any of the other changes/additions) ASAP and roll GR's and 2.1 into the first big post-season patch, over 3 months for them to implement ladders is ridiculous, and with Destiny hitting a week or so after ladders hit I don't think I'm even going to bother at this point since I am 100% not touching any other game once Destiny hits for at least a few weeks at a minimum. Very disappointed.
I don't know if today is any different, but it has been more than Blizzard. The thread from last night (or the night before, can't recall) mentioned that LoL, PoE, and... Brazzers were all getting attacked as well.
Isn't Brazzers like a paid thing or something? Maybe they are just salty because they want porn to be free for everyone, man.

yeah I feel the same way.. Destiny will be my game that plus still playing the shit out of Dark Souls 2... Blizztard had all fucking summer to release this... -_- its really not even that much content.. :*(
Just wondering about something: Since all of your crafting plans are reset in seasons and the only way to get the plans for Reaper's Wraps is to kill Malthael in story mode, does this mean you need to play through the entirety of story mode again in order to get those plans? Or can you get the plans from simply killing Malthael in adventure mode?
edit: I guess it doesn't really matter since there's a seasonal achievement for speedrunning the campaign and I plan to do that anyway
