Just hit a fresh level 70. Right now my gear will slow farm on Expert/Master. What's the best course of action to get myself some better gear? Do normal bounty runs (for the speed)? Do expert bounty runs (for the drop rate)? Or try to join some sort of rift community or something? I just want to grind out some decent gear. Need upgrades at all spots basically.

Also what's the deal with the GAF clans? How many are there and how do I join one?

Wow, this game has really improved. Thought I'd give it another go when I found out about the implementation of local servers in Australia. Loot is much better too which was one of my huge criticisms of the game.

Am I missing out on much other than a new character playing without the RoS expansion? I'm currently leveling a new wizard.

Act V is fantastic and puts the vanilla acts to shame.

What you don't realize is that I have near perfect rolls on everything. It is a substantial difference:

Also, there are diminishing returns on +elemental damage, so it doesn't really make sense to just stack as much as possible.

My overall DPS should be even higher, however I use Ice Climbers instead of Firebird boots/legs.

When I do that and try any combination the only one is the overflow one under searches.

No one in clan chat actually talking to try to get invite.

*sigh*

I've been gone a few days, looks like the old NA clan has been disbanded if I'm reading thread correctly? I'm having trouble pulling up the new clan with the search function though :\.

The Mad Monarch proc is pretty hard to beat, but the Silaria has more damage and Strength on it. That's very similar to the one I use as the main hand on my Monk. Why not use them both?

I have a Devastator in offhand with STR and a socket. Don't think it'd be worth losing the Fire damage.

Elemental damage does not suffer from diminishing returns. It scales linearly.

How much All Res and HP is best for T4 ?

I'm at 1.3k All Res then 300k hp @ 1.1m dmg buffed doing T3.

Planning to drop my teleport for Blackhole permanently but I keep dying. :/

You would probably be better off doing T3, just for efficiencys sake.

You'll miss out on the awesome adventure mode once you beat the campaign. Doing bounties and rifts is so much more fun than running through the campaign over and over.

Love disconnects. Haven't had much of an issue in the past, but got disconnected this morning. Logged into a new game, teleported to someone and saw a star on the map. Yeah. Wait - I'm not moving. Disconnected. Fun times.

Yesterday I found Natalya's helm and since I was already using the cloak I decided to give it a shot. My other helm is an Andariel 16% fire dmg 7% IAS and 730 dex, both are socketed. This is my profile now

16% Fire dmg

Andariel secondary affix (having to stay ranged that shouldn't be much of a problem)

Doing math overall I lost 83k elemental elite dmg (from 1.944M to 1.861M). What do you think? Keep going with Andariel and wait for RoRG/3rd natalya piece to use the set? Doing a quick test Run on T3 I didn't notice any major improvements/losses

Yes since your mad monarch doesn't have str, you'll want to mainhand your devastator though

It stacks with everything, including sprint and warzechian and pylons
atm I use war cry + sprint + quake + wrath of the berserker + hota + leap
Having both sprint and the belt speeds up rift runs (and those boring bounties) a lot ,especially in groups

Best barb belt imo, good secondary without having to give up stats, I wouldn't use witching hour over it in groups (especially as quake since AS does nothing for the build)

I did a run on the Matriarch's Bones just before work trying to find a Shard of Entsteig Plate, and while I didn't find that, I did find a pretty great Kymbo's Gold. I can't remember exactly what it has in everything, but I remember that it had +18% to Physical, +mid-700s to Intelligence, +84/6% to critical damage, and I tried re-rolling for CC and got +7% IAS.

My old rare amulet had +99/+10, so I'm seeing a drop in sheet damage but I'm assuming that I'll get a net increase with my fetish sycophants and soul harvest from the physical that makes up for it.

Thank god, finally got my RoRG. It lowered my damage a little but boosted my toughness by over a million with the boost to +3 for Ashera's and Aughilds. Woohoo, now I just have to craft two Captain's pieces and this will be the biggest upgrade to my Crusader in weeks. Stay kind to me RNG, how bout showing me some Jenkabord and Gyrfalcon!

Wasn't until my 3rd one that it rolled either CC or CHD so that way I could re-roll something else and have both. Far out that was frustrating.

Currently up to 14 rolls trying to get better then 35% CHD on it.

EDIT: Make that 19 rolls, fucking mystic.

At first I was going to say definitely keep the Andariel's. Then I noticed it had no crit chance. It's kind of a tough spot. IAS is not very helpful for a CA build. It also doesn't really do to have two spenders as a DH when one is CA. CA is a hog and really demands to be your only spender.

I think it's kind of a coin flip on which to keep but I wouldn't use Frost arrow in conjunction with CA. One or the other and since your gear is largely fire and CA based, I'd say keep that. The Andariel's is probably more effective dps thanks to the fire%.

well i can tell you i have about 1.3k all res, 415k hp, and 1.4m dmg buffed and i can't do T4 yet.

As far as your gear, well, there is a ton of room for improvement. You need to stack as much lightning damage as possible, ideally ~86% or so is the ceiling for lightning. Andariel's should have those type of rolls, but with the +lightning % on it. Your neck could benefit from +20% lightning damage legendary and you really need a Stone of Jordan. You should be seeking a glove with tri-fecta stats on it as you really need crit damage on them. Try to increase your gems as much as possible, since Wizards benefit hugely from +int gains. With this in mind, for lightning, you should be looking to benefit from 2 piece Firebird and 2 piece Vyr's set bonuses for the int gains. Aughild's also isn't bad for the +elite% dmg bonus (since you don't have Unity or SoJ). Basically, go with crit damage, crit chance, and attack speed. When properly geared, most of your damage will come from Electrocute or Shock Pulse (with Shard of Hate), so attack speed is very beneficial. Fulminator isn't really that great of a weapon proc, so ideally you'll want to replace that with whatever higher DPS weapon you find. Shard of Hate is the best for a lightning wizard, however Thunderfury works well too.

It also seems like you're trying to make up your toughness mostly from gear choices (like the All Res on your neck) when Wizards have the best skills in the game for this. Unless you're trying to only farm T1, there's no reason you shouldn't be using Energy Armor/Prismatic Armor. Unwavering Will is also really great to have and should replace Evocation (no real point to this as a lightning wizard). Not really sure of the major benefits for Astral Presence, but try using Prodigy instead.

And for proof, here's an older video of one of my lightning wizard builds before Shard of Hate.

As I said, it is fun to play as a change of pace, however it's not nearly as effective as Fire or Arcane.

The reason I use FA is one and only one, sinergy with Cull the weak to slow groups, I usually open with 1 FA and then cripple most groups with 1-2 CA. For elites I just go with CA with Entangling Shot every 2-3 shots to keep them slowed. BTW thanks for the tips! See you in game

Nothing really cool for anyone, I'd say. The wizard helm's weaker than Andariel's and requires low-AP condition to trigger it. The WD mojo could be good if the effect had good uptime, but I expect "chance to" translates to "15 second internal cooldown". Rakanishu's blade is so situational... might be worth bringing along if you happen to be farming a unique in a zone with fallen. Murlocket doesn't have enough affixes to be used, so it's still just a toy item.

I hope they read those threads where people were posting legendary ideas because I've seen many better suggestions than what they've come up with so far here.

Edit: they're not done, of course. Here's hoping they have some nice surprises lined up with those other items that don't have affixes yet.
