I thought wizard was canceled. When did this change?

No clue. I got it from trekmovie.com and they linked to the larger version on their DA page. Said it would be in the latest issue. Maybe it was before it went under (Just happened right?). Maybe they're just full of it.

Wizard has become a digital magazine.

In other news, model/actress Lily Cole has been cast as a sea creature in a forthcoming episode.

The doctor can't get enough of ginger women.

The new Doctor Who Magazine says the 2011 series will be released in a number of box sets. The first; Episodes 1-7, will be released following episode 7. The Second; 8-13 after the finale
The Full Box Set; "Will be ready for Christmas 2011"

So I just thought of something that seemed so obvious but something we've all looked over: So the Doctor is facing an invisible enemy force known as "The Silence" right? One of the season four episodes was titled "Silence in the Library".....

Did your mind just explode?

Hey, I watched all of the new Doctor Who up to season 5, including all the specials. It's basically one of my favourite TV series. My question: is any of the older stuff worth watching? I mean before Eccleston and Tennant. The spaced out ideas make the series so enjoyable to me. Do the old seasons still hold up?

Stories hold up. Better people here to recommend specific stories. You just have to be able to accept the outdated production values (think of it like watching original Star Trek).

Thanks, no problem with that, I love TOS. ;D I don't even search for specific episodes. I just wonder if there's a season that you'd recommend to people trying to dig a little deeper. ;)

Edit: I think I'll see if I can get one of the later Tom Baker seasons.

So I really want to start watching these but I have no idea what I should even be looking for, my research has provided very poor results. I really like David Tennant so I guess I should start with his series? But when does that even start and end?

No reason not to start with the Eccleston season, which is the first of the "New Who"

Because I had to post it somewhere.... I've been noseying through game artist portfolios today, and accidentally stumbled upon this Dalek redesign. Its effectively fanart but pretty damn bizzare.

I'm glad they don't look like this, even if the art is well made and pretty unique.

I jumped onto DW during the Eccleston revamp...so forgive me for any laws I'm breaking here. I think the Daleks need to be redesigned. They don't seem menacing to me at all and need a pretty big reimagining.

I never watched the originals and feel the same way. When they kinda "attempted" to re design them, it was a mighty morphin rainbow of failure.

I think they need to go away for a good while is all. Let's sayyy... two seasons.

Hello all! I've been lurking a bit for the past few months, but just finally got authorized, so I thought I would join in on the fun. I'm looking forward to the new season with eager anticipation and can't wait to discuss all of it; if that's alright with all of you

Me too.

Matt Smith is my favorite doctor, even though I just started with the new series. But his Doctor blows away all of Tennant's run in my opinion. Got Series 5 on Blu-Ray and didn't regret that at all. Can't wait for the new series!

Hm. Yeah, I've been wondering when it'll start. I completely forgot when the spring season of Doctor Who started last year, but I do remember still being in my dorm.

I've also been debating getting a replica sonic screwdriver or not. I don't know if the novelty is worth the $30 price tag, and I hear they break a lot.
