Patch 7 is up, think it's about 1.5GB. Apparently the Black Emporium DLC is also up for XBox, but it hasn't released yet for other platforms (should be available later today, though).

Bioware showing the new MP stuff on stream. They are showing Virtuoso :D!!!!

Can't wait for this. Oh wait it's live on PC, oh dang.

I wish they hadn't made them so hard to craft. I've played a lot of multiplayer and I've broken down a ton of items but even still I'm nowhere close to having enough cloth for the virtuoso.

The amount of items needed are flat out insane. I really only want the virtuoso but getting the parts needed is just nuts. I got the Avvar from the dragon chest but I really hate 2h warrior types :(

Yeah, it really sucks. I've been waiting for such a long time for some new characters and now that they're out I'm at the mercy of the chests to get them since I'll never get them through crafting. I got the Avvar too and he's interesting but he's the character I wanted least of the 3 new ones.

Where's that located?

It's a separate DLC you have to "purchase" (for free) from Origin. Once you've downloaded / installed it, you should start up the game and log in to the Dragon Age servers so your game updates (it didn't show up for me until I logged in).

The Black Emporium itself is on the War Table on the Ferelden side, in Kirkwall (north of the Storm Coast). It's an area you unlock for 0 power.

Does anyone here on PS4 play the multi much? Would love to play with some GAF peoples. Feel free to send me a friend request. PSN is Xevren11

Perfect. TY.

How early in the game can you access the Black Emporium? I accessed it fine on my current playthrough but I was already in Skyhold. Can it be accessed in Haven?

Holy hell Isabela is a blast to play. Keeping up stacks of Elusive really makes her feel unique.

Edit: Also made some DW Tempest gifs. All hail 10% chance of Hidden Blades!

Dragons on Perilous are no joke. Ferelden Castle on Perilous is no joke. Lightning Dragon on threatening isn't a pushover either

The Avvar is a blast to play. Going back to the old melee characters is painfully boring in comparison

What abilities are you going for on Avvar? I like the elemental synergy for him but still unsure what to go for.

So, I just got the game because I was holding out for reasons. I'm not far into it at all, but from what I've played I enjoy. However, I'm camped out near the farm where you get the horses and there's a rift nearby, but it spawns Despair Demons who are crazy good with killing my entire party in a matter of seconds. Any tips for upgrading my team to make battling these guys a bit less stressful? I'm playing as a Warrior with a weapon and shield, if that makes any difference. I'm only at level 4 as well.

Looking forward to being able to tweak my character for ages.

Now that I went and tried it I cant bring myself to change a thing. My inquisitor is perfect the way she is!

I added 1 new face scar just because and that was it. And even then it was mostly "she has seen some shit. She should have a face scar"

My build right now is Hakkon's Charge, Lady's Wrath, Crushing Leap and Rage of the Avvar. All upgraded. I dropped the elemental mighty blow for this build, just felt kind of redundant.

I pop Lady's Wrath, charge into the enemies with Hakkons, trigger Rage of the Avvar in the group and then fire smash

This is for threatening, I'm at level 18 and tearing shit up. Im not sure how viable he is on Perilous without a keeper or virtuoso casting barrier. He really feels like pre-buff Katari a.k.a super squishy. Just for reference, my constitution is 40 and I'm using Sulevin blade so your mileage my vary.

That's a level 12 Rift, right? You're way underleveled. For reference, you cap out at around level 25 for the game, so 8 levels is a big difference. Enemies don't scale to your level in Inquisition and one zone can have areas where there are much harder enemies, so if you're getting rocked it's probably because you are fighting things you shouldn't be fighting yet.

Despair Demons being the floaty mages, right? They are suspectible to knockdowns and weak to fire.

If you want to cheese that farm rift, start the Druffy the Druffalo quest and drag him into the Rift while you're guiding him back. If he gets hit by an enemy AOE he'll go apeshit and kill them all, like some monster mammal from hell.

My gear sucks, I've had absolutely terrible luck. Except with daggers. I wish we had more support classes, I have fun just playing keeper than most of the other classes.

A good keeper is invaluable and has a place on any team, especially with the massive mobs in Ferelden Castle. If that's what you enjoy playing, rock on. Static Cage alone is amazing

And I know its a ton of materials. but it'll be worth it to eventually unlock Virtuoso. Ultimate support class and a ton of fun. Remember to break down armor upgrades you don't need if you're short on cloth.

Looking for some people to play MP with add me on Origin Caliaztec

Got Isabella in my Dragonslayer chest gonna work on her till unlocking Avvar.

How in the world are you getting critical attacks in the 4,000??

Deathblow!

Deathblow is in my opinion the best DW ability. It has good hitboxes, and the upgrade means 2 hits for massive damage. Combined with Tempest's Flask of Fire and anytime you get a boss under 1/2 health you can spam 4 of them, and if flanking they are usually crits. For dragons, you just need to attack their hind legs for the flanking bonuses, I think, so Deathblow spam takes them down fast.

Just finished my first playthrough today, absolutely loved the game. I think my total time played was around 80 hours. Can't wait to start another. This was my first Dragon Age game, and I'm so glad I ended up buying it. I honestly enjoyed it so much that I sort of want to start a new game using the same class (double dagger rogue), but maybe I'll go for the Tempest specialisation instead of Assassin next time around.
I also want to romance Cullen again because it was just wonderful and wow ahhhh
. I guess it sort of defeats the purpose of another playthrough, but I kinda just see that specific storyline and inquisitor as canon now, and doing it all over again but refining it a bit more would make me really happy. Then if I ever decide to go through it again (I will), I'll probably do something completely different!

If you want some variation while still doing the same Inquisitor, try making a different Dragon Age Keep save with different decisions for DA: O and DA2. One favorite of mine is having a save where Leliana romanced the Warden in DA: O, and another save where the Warden killed her at the Temple of Sacred Ashes. In the former Leliana has this softer, romantic side to her, and in the latter when you ask about the Hero of Ferelden she says, "There are no heroes in this world."

I'm playing through (second time) as an Elf rogue with the archery spec, and romancing Solas. Archery is ridiculously good fun, and the Solas stuff is surprisingly good, would recommend it, though the Cullen stuff is definitely very sweet :) Damnit, I do love this game, warts and all :)

Can't wait to play the new mp stuff tonight, playable bard makes me so happy!

Saw your avatar on the Bioware forums, figured you gave it a shot.

About the bard, it's a shame that the heal on kill upgrade is broken (not working). How does Bioware keep breaking abilities. I would respec out of it but screw giving up precious cloth, they better have it fixed soon.

With that said, I really like Virtuoso.

Edit: ah saw that you didn't get to unlock it, and that you are on PSN (I'm on PC, PC seem a bit like a ghost town sadly).

Love that BE has all the tier 1&2 crafting materials in infinite supply. Never have to worry about running out of stuff like obsidian or bloodstone again.

What patch added the color tinge table in the smithy?

Gonna start grinding tonight, lets pray to the rng gods I can get that monstrous amount of cloth before I go insane. Which probably won't happen, my luck is terrible.

I looked through my inventory are have over 200 Obsidian and 150 bloodstone. I picked up everything not nailed down.

I think as you progress you get Tier 3 materials. I am still in Haven and only have tier one materials.

I think the colour tinge table appeared in the last patch.

This is literally me lol. I initially played as a human female warrior thinking she was going to be my main and romanced Cullen, then I romanced Solas with my elven mage and I was like THIS IS A LOCK. I'VE FOUND MY TRUE CANON. Cullen is so vanilla to me after my elven playthroughs. Solas's characterization was amazing and it just suits the game so well to play as an elven mage romancing Solas especially when all of the revelations start to come into play once you begin What Pride Had Wrought. Weekes is amazing, the wait for DLC is killer.

Also yay RNG (for once lmao), I got Isabela in my Dragonslayer chest. I loved her and Zither in the beta, but I'm kinda happy I don't have to grind for her. The banter is pretty funny though.

I'll add the ps4 people in this thread (chronodragoon here) though I mostly stay away from perilous.

Well, would ya look at that! You answered my question as to whether or not you were ChronoDragoon without actually seeing my post asking if that was you. Good to see ya; it's JeffZero from BSN.

Anyway, you can add me (JeffJaqi) if you want, although I don't have PS+ right now so I'm not sure I'll ever try DAMP. I literally never have. Maybe someday though.

...er, wait, we're already PSN friends. So... don't add me. 'Cause you already did.

That sounds like it would fit very nicely!

Solas is such a great character, and I think it's super sweet how he "slightly approves" whenever you ask lots of questions. Endgame spoiler:
I can't imagine how I would have felt about the ending if I had romanced Solas for my first playthrough, like, what a smack in the face!

Play again! I thought my first playthrough was set in stone too until I started another character...and another...

Yeah! I'm definitely gonna play the campaign again as soon as I get a bigger TV!

I know what you mean though, it happened to me with the Mass Effect series. I ended up playing through it 7 times with 7 different Shepards, and I love them all. Nothing compares to your first time playing though, that's for sure. I feel like with DA:I, there's a bit more refining I can do (I didn't even know about the Keep at first!) to my world, then I'll be ready to move on. I want to play a KE pretty badly.

If anyone ever wants to play online multiplayer (or anything online, for that matter), my PSN is miauviv!

I'm actually starting to feel tempted to replay Inquisition sometime soon. BioWare is my jam, my absolute favorite modern developer (Squaresoft used to be my numero uno, but...) and even then, I haven't replayed any of their games except for the Mass Effects. I had some serious issues with DAI, but that isn't stopping me from really wanting to do a Female Dalish run. Probably romance Solas, since I know how that goes.

Can't decide if I'll go for Rogue or Mage. I was a Human Male Warrior my first time so I wanna go totally different here.

I'll get to it by July or so, I reckon. I've got a two-month GameFly deal for $10 and I should continue to take advantage of it. I'm such a damn niche gamer though. All these things I'm renting, I just keep elitist-ly scoffing at their fail attempts at narrative and such. I wish I weren't so... ugh.

Dragon Age Multiplayer Related.

Who else actively avoid the new dragon map? I don't want any part of it. Do people get more exp from it? That dragon nuking the party with little chance to avoid it sometimes really piss me off.

Also they really need to do something about cloth in this game. Did they ever answer to why it's so rare or demanded for different crafts? Isabella a leather character needs 20 cloth to unlock.

What ever happened to crafting weapons in MP. I remember they said it wouldn't be available at launch. I suppose it wouldn't matter now but for new players being able to get away from the crappy starter weapon with mats salvaged from things they don't need would get them ready to do threatening.

I really like it. It's just a lot of fun. The map layout is more interesting with some verticality to it, and scattered shelters to fight without getting roasted by the dragon.

Also I used a Dragon Call because screw it, and although we lost that fight was FUN.

Cloth is the freaking bane of my existence.

I like the new map a lot, just people need to learn to move. Seen so many people just sit there and get blasted and continue to stand there without a care in the world even though the lightning blast still hits them.

Have you seen this? If the site don't work for you (I had to open chrome) the dragon struck a guy twice while he was fighting a enemy inside a building. If that first area is a open court, I can kinda see what happened, but the second seems a bit dodgy. The dragon was a jerk and hunted this guy down. Double taps are illegal.

http://gfycat.com/GrotesqueVictoriousCivet

The main reason I avoid it is I just wanted to level my Virtuoso and this map tend to spread everyone I want to buff out, a bit too chaotic. I'll go back on my other classes or as I get a better feel of Virtuoso. I will prestige soon. Not spending another cloth on him since I had to respec out of Sing Along's bugged upgrade.
