Dragon Age: Inquisition |OT2| Leave the damn Hinterlands!

I've entered the Hissing Wastes finally and bought me some T3 end game schematics in the form of elf-only Dalish Scout Armor. Took me a fucking while to pick stats I want and mesh the colors so it won't look stupid. Armor customization in this game is dreadfully subpar.

So, the bug with the voice change isn't just me. I legitimately thought I was going crazy but I hate the voice change and preferred the American voice so I was wondering if there's a way to fix it?

Only if you have an earlier save from before the
Hawke meet-up
. Just use the default instead of trying to customize. Otherwise the voice gets reset to the one with the accent, which the game considers the default.

holy fuck....i beat my first dragon (hinterlands frostback)

i cheated though and did the focus 1000 cuts fire potion glitch :(

i i wanna fight him fair but it takes so long ......

i need more violet and gold gears and t3 schematics :(

i know hissing waste is the place but it's a higher level place..i'm only level 12

DW rogue..i need weapons and etc

my line-up is always doran, cass(my waifu) and blackwall my badass tankerino duos

Did they change Sera's design or is this a bug?
I didn't watch any footage of the game before playing and only saw this official screenshot of her when looking up the companions so I'm not sure how her final design should be. I just got her in my team and this is how she looks for me:

I think her design changed; she looks the same (as in different from the official screenshot) for me too.

Looks like they toned down her make-up. A lot.

And changed her hair a bit.

For the small effort given, extra elemental resistance is more than welcome.

20% elemental resistance is hardly worth hours of effort, not when there are plenty of belts around that give the same. And by the time you collect all the shards, you've already played most of the game. I think I had 1 dragon left by the time I opened the final door.

I'd honestly recommend people not to even bother with the shards, it's a monumental waste of time.

Small effort? I'm convinced that one of the shards in the Exalted Plains requires a double jump, at the least.

Some of them are really annoying to get with the jumping stuff, especially since jumping in this game is so imprecise and you tend to slip on flat surfaces for no specific reason. I wish they wouldn't do that kind of stuff if their game doesn't have good mechanics, just put them in caves and what not.

You get a skillpoint from one of the door I believe, not sure since I forgot to go back there before finishing the game but that's what I read. The resists are completely pointless though.

I have no idea what I should do. I am 25 hours in and did the majority of The Hinterlands, Crestwood and The Fallow Mire but I am scared of being overpowered if I keep on exploring.

Is it safe for me to slay a few dragons? I am Level 12-13.

Yeah, the one on the rooftop? How the F do you get that one? I can't find any way to access it at all, so I just left it alone.

Ooh, I forgot about that one! I was actually thinking of the one by in the northeast by
the fort, on top of an old viaduct
(going by memory, here). I've circled around the area and looked at it from multiple vantage points, but still couldn't figure it out. I can see several spots that look like I should be able to jump up on, but I just slip down.

I know I could just look for a video of how to get it, but that's no fun.

The stones are climbable near it, just test a few out. All I did was look for green bits on the stones.

As I am here, do the collecting of Mosaic pieces do anything?

I actually didn't realize that temple was for all the shards and for some reason thought it was for the shards of that region (I did the Oasis last). It makes more sense now.

My compulsion to clear every map of quest markers drove me more than any reward, but if I knew that was the reward, I would have been ever so slightly more likely to say screw it and just consider myself done with the game, because it's pretty lame. I was expecting a special dungeon on par with the better dungeons in the game, though I think at that point of playing, nearing 100 hours, I was pretty much sick of everything anyway and a long dungeon would not have been so appealing.

I think the game peaked for me when I found and killed my first dragon in the Hinterlands (so level 10-12), but other than bugs and crashes (and there were a fair amount of both), there were no real lows.

I am much more excited for Witcher 3 after playing this, as I expect it to be better.

The Hinterlands dragon is the lowest level of the dragons. You can give that one a shot if you want.

I didn't start going around dragon hunting until Lv 15. Hinterlands Dragon got kinda floored... and so did a few others.

Reavers are kinda OP. I feel like I'm cheating.

So should I leave the hinterlands? But go where :(

You know. This has been a running joke but I never felt "overpowered/overleveled" and I cleared out a huge portion of the hinterlands before moving on. Most encounters scale to your level so you will rarely be outclassing your opposition.

As far as I've noticed only dragons are "fixed" (there a few other enemies here or there but dragons are the most notable).

Crestwood dragon is lowest level I think actually (level 12) and the simplest fight, that's the one I'd suggest breaking in on.

I posted this earlier but I'm pretty frustrated with the tactical mode. I enjoy playing in that mode far far far far far far more. So much so that I played for 60 hours exclusively in that.

But, at least with warriors, you basically can't use tactical camera. And my damage was super weak (I was running 3 warriors and 1 mage).

I want to keep playing as I have been but it's so much more efficient to mash out whirlwind and dragon's rage. I basically take dragon fights at Lv 15 because my damage output was crap.

Oh, seriously? I thought I read that levels only scale by the moment you first enter a new region and after that you can out-level every enemy.

Everything has a min and max level, and you'll outlevel stuff very quickly if you do every zone in order. Not all the zone mind you, for example Exalted Plains starts at 11 max(the early areas and stuff) but goes up to 15 in certain parts of it. But if you've done all the zones in order, you will enter Exalted Plains at a higher level than 11, and a lot of the monsters will be lower level than you(but not necessarily a lot lower, if you're 13, 11 is still decent). Some will be the same, some won't. It's not so bad though but you have entire parts of the game where you absolutely stomp everything because of level differences. And then right after a part where stuff is suddenly at your level.

Skipping a middle level zone helps a lot. Sadly a lot of the middle level zones are pretty good. I'd skip Oasis for sure and probably Storm Coast if I replayed the game, should be enough. Storm Coast is kinda low level though so not sure. Not rushing codex/discussion perks would probably help quite a bit too, as those provide a ton of xp.

Edit: The scaling is dynamic, and will scale instantly when you level. This is easily noticeable in Hinterlands as the random group of mobs will instantly be higher level when you level(not the active ones though I believe, but the next time a random group of mobs is created, it'll be at your current level, that is, until the max, which is like 7 for a large part of the zone and 11 for the later parts).

Sorry, only spoke from personal experience.

The large open world areas seem to scale up to a limit and then won't anymore. The story missions will scale to their upper limits as well.

But honestly, I've been thoroughly cleaning out areas as I go through them and I haven't felt overleveled.

I think the only point you can really get overleveled is around Lv 14 (you will probably have 3-4 new areas to explore) and you can end not doing a main quest until 18 to 19 or something like that. The Hinterlands is hardly the problem, it's mostly just being incredibly completionist in each area before moving on.

As long as you're willing to check out a new area every now and then you really shouldn't have much of a problem.

You can certainly out-level zones. I saved the Exalted Plains for last, and I was level 21 when I first entered it. The enemies were level 11.

Well, yah, I didn't say you can't. But going to each new zone as it pops up will generally be fine (and going in the order you unlock them).

Exalted Plains around the middle chunk of zones you find so yah at 21 it'll be crazy low.

Damn, that first demon on Nightmare is a bitch. It actually wouldn't have been so bad if those little bastard terrors weren't following me around.

Just unlocked Emerald Graves and Exalted Plains, jesus christ how many areas are there?

Atmosphere in the first area in Exalted Plains is amazing, with the
burnt down forest and all
.

So good, haha.

Lesser/Greater Terrors on Nightmare are a damned pain, I'll say that.

There are
ten 'open world' areas
. This is in addition to plot mission areas, Skyhold, Haven, Val Royeaux, and separate dungeons.

Looks better without the thick makeup. Though maybe it would've suited her chav personality more.

Im glad DA I won Goty

It's very difficult to take opinion from people who say X game got robbed from Goty award and hey this quest in DA I was so shit , the game sucks :lol.

I do feel Bayonetta 2 Deserved it interms of pure gameplay perspective but as an overall package Dragon Age I is better.

There's actually a slight hint of seriousness there. I haven't played the game much so I'm still there and getting annihilated by one of the rifts. Wasn't sure where to head but I'm on the right path now I think.

Doesn't seem like most. When I was around level 18 or so, enemies were at a drastically lower level when entering certain areas for the first time, most notably the Emerald Graves. The loot was also at a lower level.

Kinda a stupid question here, I did all the class specialisation quests for my rogue, but I can't find any of the dudes to return to once I've done the crafting. Are they all supposed to be in Skyhold? Nothing on the map there and I've searched high and low.

Yep, check out the
walls of the main hall at Skyhold. To be honest, it's kind of hard to tell what you're looking at though, since they're all shiny bronze/gold, fairly small, and its impossible to get a good viewing angle of them.

There's also the dwarf across from Varric that you can talk to about them.

They should still be in the same place by the stable.
