Dragon Age: Inquisition |OT2| Leave the damn Hinterlands!

This is going to be embarrassing to ask but where the hell is there a loot chest to keep your stuff? Once I'm over encumbered I have to just sell things or destroy them. Checked Haven and can't find any sort of chest to store anything?! Apologies if I'm being super dense lmao.

Sorry man, but there is no loot storage chest. Get used to selling shit.

Edit: Don't actually destroy anything though if you want to unlock all the stuff.

It doesn't exist.

There isn't one.

Sell all your valuable and scrap the shitty armor and weapons every return visit. You will want that gold later on.

The only junk that will bother you are the armor upgrades, which take up inventory slots. As you upgrade your stuff, make sure to in there and scrap the useless stuff to

Ah ok that's fine I'll carry on doing what I was doing then! Surprised there isn't one though!

i can't believe you literally have your own KEEP with insane amounts of storage and a laughably HUGE bedroom for your character yet you can't store a goddamn thing.

Can't I just stick some of these goddamn rings under the mattress of my bed? Is that so much to ask?

Videogames!

So... I banged Blackwall and his akward beard.

I didn't want to, but I'm an easy elf thirsty for lust. Can I break up with him and hit... Cassandra or Josephine?

They really need an update/dlc that lets you pimp out Skyhold and add storage. There is a damn vault room (by the kitchen) with nothing in it. It can't be that hard to put a few chests in there.

You can check romance options here:

http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Romance_%28Inquisition%29

Yes, females get more romance options than males :/

But if Inquisition is anything like previous BioWare games, you can't change your romance option once you've advanced far enough with one of them.

Any tips on where to get schematics for armors mid-game+? I was bit disappointed when I purchased the Orlesian ones for a hefty price and found out they weren't much better than what I was then using (a crafted hunting coat of some kind).

How significant are the differences if you import a world state from a previous DA game? I'm wondering if I should play through the first two games before starting my second playthrough. I remember the decisions in ME1/2 played a decent role in ME3..

There are a lot of choices in Keep but I think the only one that matters is
whether or not Loghain died.
I haven't done anything after Skyhold so I might be wrong on that.

So far for me it's just tailoring the world to how I played the game but nothing major like content being locked out and unique gear.

Antivan Tailoring is your best friend.

Ιs the dragon in Storm Coast supposed to be one of the hardest? Because I got my ass handed to me yesterday... (lvl18 group)

I've tried fighting a couple of dragons so far, neither of them seemed much harder than the previous one but how well you do will depend on your level, build and elemental defences. I didn't succeed in killing either, but it didn't seem like an impossible task.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
I'm a bit confused about specialisations. It appears to unlock them I need to complete one of six(?) trainer quests, but I don't know the specifics on what any of the specialisations grant stat-wise.

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
To add to the inventory struggles, are valuables safe to sell off or are they needed for quests/other things later? I'd have so much more space if I wiped the list out, but I'm really leery on doing that.

I think the specialisation quests and the introduction to them is very half-assed. I'd recommend reading a guide to making sense of them. Took me hours to decide what class to choose for my ranged rogue character and just as long to complete the quest because you have absolutely no markers or indication of where you're meant to go. It's purely guess work.

So far, in my experience, these quests have been one of the game's more glaring flaws.

Valuables, from what I can tell, are things you never need. However, creature research items and the like often go into the valuable category so it's really easy to accidentally sell them. These all sell for like 1, so they're easy to spot.

Pro tip: save your game before buying schematics. :D
Most of the good ones are random loot from chests, and some other are dragon loot.

The merchant in hissing wastes has some armor schematics. Also in Val Royeaux market.

I got more party banter in the two hours I spent in the Oasis then I did in the entire 80 hours prior. Soon as I left it was right back to the silence. Very odd. Seemed whatever bug is causing the banter to not trigger isn't present at that location, at least on my game.

im 85 hours in and there is still plenty to do... how is this possible? This game is a masterpiece and one of my favorites of all time already. The dialogue and voice acting have been consistently amazing the entire time and the story has better pretty great as well with some really memorable moments so far. This is coming from someone who gave up on DAO shortly after Redcliffe and skipped DA2.

I haven't encountered many bugs or glitches, especially for a game this massive and only really have gripes with issues in 2 of the areas:

the hinterlands - where there are just waaaaaay too many meaningless sidequests to do compared to everywhere else. I pretty much 100%'d the Hinterlands before I decided to leave with the exception of the
dragon and 2 rifts
that I wasn't a high enough level for at that point and its really not worth sticking around there that long. "Leave the damn Hinterlands!" is solid advice for those early in the game

the exalted plains - had a lot of sidequests and missions that were really tedious accompanied by a bit of an unexpected spike in difficulty. I thought the rest of the game has been fair on normal difficulty, but you have to really run the gauntlet in some long ass missions where i didn't see any supply crates for relief. Its also a real pain in the ass to navigate the terrain due to the maze-like camps and half the map being locked behind that cave entrance that needs to be cleared

easy GOTY for me. I'm just hoping that this doesn't end anywhere as poorly as Mass Effect 3 which I'm still scarred from...

The research mats all share a unique gold icon and cluster at the bottom of the list, so when you sell the valuables just sell top to down until you reach the items with that golden trinket icon and then stop.

Or just turn in resources before you sell your junk.

Came across a cave last night just near to where you meet and recruit the Iron Bull.

Was going to go in and explore until I saw all the cobwebs outside.

Nope - not doing it. Nah ah

Lmao after hearing the ruckus over the Hinterlands I actually ended up leaving TOO soon, as soon as i had the option to leave I did. How much time should you actually spend there?

Question about the Exalted Plains:

So, I randomly stumbled upon the
Golden Halla
and I was wondering--
what happens if I kill it before triggering the actual quest? Do they respawn or would killing it permanently lock me out of that related quest?

Jesus the Hissing Wastes is absolutely massive. On par with the Hinterlands even. I keep finding hidden tombs and secrets everywhere lol.

It's probably my favourite area... Emerald / Emprise / Hissing are amazing.

Love those patch summaries, like the sounds of that content coming too; jeepers.. sounds like they are going to add missions and stuff for free in the SP campaign too; or did I read it wrong?

Even a few more armor sets would be hella sweet, god damn.. this game eats my life.

I know its probably been mentioned but seriously, DAI has an amazing soundtrack.

From Origins having a few memorable tracks but mostly filler and Dragon Age 2 also having a few memorable tracks and even more filler, DAI is frankly amazing.

The best thing this franchise did was hire Trevor Morris!

It really is.... I'm literally floored how it didn't make the running for the TGAs "Best Music" category... weird as fuck.

Set them to follow only themselves. It seriously improves their ability to accomplish things in combat by unleashing them from your presence, which, for example, prevents them from retreating back to you when you move to avoid a large AoE attack.

You may still need to manually move them to avoid it, but this will stop them from ruining their own tactics.

Also if you aren't already, using upgraded resistance tonics gives you a more forgiving margin of error.

Thanks for the feedback guys, downed my first Dragon - was a great fight, but I was a bit over levelled (L15 party vs L12 Hinterlands Dragon). Going to focus on the next 3 now in a row, Dragon Hunting ahoy!!!! Brilliant times.

any tips on getting upgrades for Bianca? I want to switch Varric for Sera, but I can only get him up to like 90 DPS + Rune.

Far below what I'm finding from Bows.

It's a shame that some of the nicest tracks only play very briefly or are so calm that environment noise can be enough to make it barely perceptible but I quite liked it. I wouldn't say it's amazing as I've heard dozens of similar soundtracks, but it is soothing and some of the tracks are very enjoyable to listen to.
