The year is 2028. The Chuds have control of every lever of power in the western hemisphere. It's been 2 years since the last woman in America received a paycheck or report card. Trans people are successfully growing their genitals back after a breakthrough pharmacalogical discovery (fostered by the all-male workplace no doubt). Life expectancy is widely regarded as infinite. Hard to believe it all started with Veilguard flopping, but here we are. The people who worked on it have all been convicted of crimes against art and aesthetic, with the last of the executions taking place yesterday. If there are any Chuds reading this, I just want to say keep up the good fight. The fruits of your labor are right around the corner.
Cuz shes a voice actor and they were asking her about games she has been in.
Inquisition is one of her favorite roles so they then asked her about the mixed reception Veilguard got?
If you worked on an IP and it was one of your favorite jobs, but the latest entry in that IP with or without your input wasnt as well received its not an illogical question to ask what you think about the receptions.
And it having been such a light hearted interview you would answer NOT thinking its going to be headlines on GAF.
She thinks the reception prior to release was already outta whack even if people hadnt played the game yet.....its NOT exactly a dumb opinion even if it came from someone who is more in tune with gaming, someone less so its totally valid.
Well, they didn't name "fans", so the thread title is a little inflammatory."I also think a lot of people kind of wanted to see it fail, or wanted to see [BioWare] fail, either because they're just really bad people on the internet — of which there are unfortunately many, as we have discovered."
So I got a question.
Are the chuds that powerful to tank a AAA game or are they nonexistent compared to the modern audience?
I get so confused by this narrative.
Asmon's response to this yesterday was epic. "And I was one of those bad people. We killed Bioware and we'll do it again. And we'll keep doing it until we get rid of you all". Paraphrasing heavily here![]()
"I thought it was just BioWare being more BioWare."
He says that EA considered those mechanics - the kind that shaped games like Dragon Age: Origins - to be "slow and cumbersome," rather than the "action-y and slick" presentation that the studio was being pushed toward. That meant that Gaider's views "were often not very welcome" despite his long tenure at the studio and work on many of its most famous RPGs.
