Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen PC |OT| Wolves hunt in 4K

Could anyone who managed to convert a PS3 step walk me through their exact steps? I'm going wrong somewhere along the line and the tool is saying it can't open/read the PC save.

You're not supposed to open the pc save.
just follow the last example in the readme, that's exactly what you need to do.

I need some help with ENB , i downloaded a preset someone posted pages ago, but my game looks like this

did you do the nvidia inspector thing from the OP? if so, disable the profile.

That's what it tells me when I try to do that.

Ie, C:\WINDOWS\system32>C:\Users\********\Desktop\ddsavetool.exe -c DATA0.DAT DDDA.sav
Error: Could not open file DDDA.sav for reading.

If anyone not too high level & still needs a fighter-pawn on his/her friendlist,
mine's at Level 14 (Mitigator/Scather) right now and, as far as at this point possible for me, enchanted and skilled up.
His face is not perfect, but good enough (after who knows how long trying around).

On a random note it's really nice how well this game runs on my just below-minimum PC
while looking nice. =)

I was very happy with my character that I created but something about the running animation is off.
He looks like he has a giant ass and runs with his feet open

Wat. Every other NPC runs normally. What did I mess up?

Maybe too much macho, that one has a widelegged stance (+ maybe combined with the leg type that looks like it has a wider stance too)?
Afterall the feminin stance makes a guys hips sway... femininly. o_ô

the 3 quests left in the first village board are all escort quests (this is like 7 hours into the game, I think its the third time that board has replenished sicne ive done all of those), I guess thats the game's way of showing you new zones?

but fuck escort quests. also from last page:

so now that I went to
see the girl in the woods and talked to the witch
, am I safe to do any quest again? like main quest? it wont cut me off for now?

that data0.dat doesn't look like the savegame, that just looks like the fileformat wrapped around the save, you need to get it out first

I also dont seem to have a main quest? All my quests seem to be from the boards. When I came to Gran Soren Mercedes fucked off to get credit for the hydra but that didnt give me a follow up, guess I need to explore gran soren to find the follow up to that?

damn japanese developers :p

I seem to be having some weird Interface bugs, like not seeing face preview, when creating my character or a pawn.
Also there seem to be no detailed quest information shown for me.

Anyone else encountered that bug and/or knows how to fix that?

rule of thumb is that all the important/sidequests are from npcs, the boardquests are shit that you pick up whenever you can that you do when you're doing the main/sidequests

it's usually pretty linear

What should I use to do so? Used Bruteforce to convert it. It's the pc save that keeps bringing the error up.

I dunno, I used 360 save, you could try unpacking to xml and then repacking to ps3 and then converting.

Or if that doesn't work, you could try using offzip by aluigi and see if you can extract whatever is in that file that way.

Here's my GeDoSaTo configuration.

https://sta.sh/0157wis0f8jy

For anyone also interested, here's a screenshot with it.

Bear in mind, it looks great during the day. Not so great at night.

Admittedly this is my first time ever using GeDoSaTo, but I'm unable to get the game to launch after making any changes. The program was installed properly, so I'm kind of at a loss. Anything that specifically needs to be added/changed when trying to run DD:DA with GeDoSaTo?

oh I did, but its considered a board quest in the log thats all. Dont mind me, its my western sensitivities to what quest in rpgs are supposed to be

speaking of, looking at this guide someone posted a few posts up, the quest structure does seem fucked (im not sure if in a good way or bad way lol). Lots of stuff can be lost at various points, and lots of stuff pop up in places where you usually wouldnt go back to in any other game

basically a list of sidequests pop up/close after each main quest, so in a way you just do everything you can find

the first 2 quests in Cassardis were fucked up because you open them by backtracking

Are mage/sorcerers any good? I have never tried them in dragons dogma before. thought I would do something different.

They're great magic in DD is probably some of the best magic in video games but there is a lot of down time for spell casting. Plus until later in the game when someone gets in your face it can be hard to get out.

Oh wow, I fucked up when catching the thief at cassardis because I hit him when trying to grab him. Now when I try to talk to him for a different quest he just runs away cause I hit him a few times lol, good thing I can just kill some female bandits instead i guess.

So, those crystal markers that lets you make waypoints to fast travel to.. I only got 2 so far, are they really that limited?

I think as soon as people understand that this game was build for multiple playthroughs (story and gameplay-wise), they'd understand you don't get everything the first time.

Yes they are limited, yes you can get as many as you want by replaying just as many times.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but the game refuses to launch Dragons Dogma while GeDoSaToTool is running. I made sure I had everything downloaded that he recommends and my BIOS doesn't have a uefi secure boot option so I don't think that's the problem.

Anybody know why the game would just not run while running the program?

Having the exact same problem, also with a BIOS that doesn't support UEFI Secure Boot.

character: I had the same problem, it was solved by turning the gaming setting off in the Catalystcenter (or something equal to your card). This might help you as well.

quests: I have some quests like that too, but I think that are mostly the selfexplaining ones (except the first with the flowers)? If it's a bug I haven't stumbled upon a solution yet.

There are some shaders out there that will (mostly) remove the banding. Recommend trying out the SweetFX presets for now. And yes, it will do a number on your performance to remove it.

https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/game/1209/
Just debanding should have little if any real impact on performance.
I am confused now. lol

If you want to use it with GeDoSaTo, you need the most up to date version of GeDo and you need to grab the post.fx file from my branch on Github.

https://github.com/Alo81/gedosato/bl...ts/dx9/post.fx

Alternatively, if you're not doing any other post processing you can just use ReShade for convenience. With that, all you need to do is install it, enable deband, attach it to the game.
I don't think I dare use Gedosato, I can't afford to add too much post-processing. I lowered some settings and I'm still getting occasional drops. :(
But if simply removing the debanding isn't too bad, I'm gonna try ReShade.

Laaaaaame.

The scar is there for a reason. SMH

I swear I won't hire any pawns with jester hat on it, no matter how good the pawn is.
Same.

Btw, Undertale fans, I hired a pretty cool Undyne pawn recently (without knowing who she was). My bf was playing Undertale and saw my screen and told me, "hey, there's a character in my game called Undyne in my game too". I said "oh, does she look like this?" and showed her the pawn more closely, and he said yes. It was a badass-looking red-haired warrior. Level 19 or so I think. I can find the Steam ID if anyone's interested.

There are, even a mod for PS3 buttons.
Yeah but it's incompatible with other mods. I was tempted to add the half-stamina/no-stamina sprinting mod (the no-carry one breaks the game guys, don't do it -- unless you purposefully never carry more than X curatives, otherwise you can just spam them constantly) but I want both...

I would suggest you pick all the side-quests you see except the Notice Board Escort Quests. Unless you want to explore the area the NPC is going towards, maybe. But yeah fuck those. Pointless in terms of reward.

now I'm finding my sorceress pawn is using the buffs TOO often, and I want her to use her offensive spells more lol
Her inclination is probably fucked. Make sure she isn't Guardian or Medicant or Nexus or something.

Yup same thing happened to me.

...Then a bit later I went in the quarry, thinking oh, I got this.... NOPE

Actually had a funny encounter with that one earlier. One of my pawns is level 4(from a friend who just started today), and I'm fighting the Ogre. She climbs up its face, and while its flailing its arms about, it falls off the cliff with my friend's pawn. I gave no fucks when she bled out down there, her sacrifice was well worth it. Amazing how even a level 4 pawn can be handy.

Alright so I'm basically at the start of the game. I can either do the well, where serpent thingies kick my butt while I deal almost no damage, or head in the general direction of wherever the fuck that missing person is, and bandits kick my ass while I do no damage. The fuck am I doing wrong?

Deactivated and deleted the profile in the crimson software, but that sadly did nothing.

If you can't beat the bandits, run past them. You don't have to fight them, and the area past them is easier.

As for the lizards, cut off their tails and they become shitloads more vunerable.

Don't go to the well.

Run away from the bandits.

Or head to Gran Soren and stock up on better equipment. Then go to the Witchwood.

Think I might've screwed up on my pawn. Primary is healing with gathering items 2nd. Yet, I have offensive magic as primary skills with buffs/healing secondary.

super unpopular opinion, but I think Normal difficulty is great. Enemies that should be pushovers (wolves and golbins should not 1 shot you in my opinion) are pushovers, but ive already ran into hairy situations. Im really enjoying the flow on normal, if I ever do NG+ ill consider hard mode, but I couldnt play the game like some of you are describing it. But hey, like I said, unpopular opinion :p

But isn't the witchwood through the bandits? This is kind of a really unwelcoming start to the game :(
