Someday, when you get a new laptop, you will at least have the game waiting for you.

Though, I have to ask, did you try lowering the resolution below 720P?

I did try, no luck. My specs are way below recommended, so i'm not surprised.

I will live vicariously through GAF's gifs :p

Is it possible to recover port crystals after you put them down? And what are generally the best places to use them in? I have 2 spare so far and I was thinking of putting one near that drawing on the hill and one south near Witchwood entrance. Haven't really uncovered that much of the map yet (I thought I did but then I googled the map, lol).

I wish someone would come up with a way to remove the vignette without the use of ENB. Even if you just use "vignette off", you still lose a bunch of framerate with ENB.

You don't lose framerates using this trick. Only AO and vignette off.

I'm using wickfut's config, but it's not working as intended as the core ENB file is didn't actually work. So to get my result, you have to use that 'broken' ENB file, otherwise you'll get the usual ENB effects.
Here's another shots, I think it's perfect for those who prefer original look of the game but wanted to add AO and eliminate the vignette.

Here's the 'broken' ENB file if anyone interested. Just put it on the game's folder alongside with Wickfut's files.

Yes, you can always pick up the portcrystal if you need it elsewhere. Good places are the Greatwall, Bluemoon Tower, Bloodwater Beach, Devilfire Grove camp, Hillfigure Knoll, and the back entrance to Witchwood.

I usually place one at Maul's camp and one for the Watergod as well.

someone is actually using the broken .dll file with my preset to stop the effects, instead of just loading in the default state, going into the menu and turning it all off ?

You realise that you're not even getting AA with that?

god help us all.

I love the AO though. :D
I actually didn't realize I don't get the AA, I play from afar on my TV. I guess I'll turn the in-game AA on my next play session later.

Didn't realize that you're a gaffer as well. Thanks for the wonderful preset, I've been using it since your first release.

set of royal guard armor would be a sweet fucking set of armor for fashion dogma, if it wasn't for the fact you can't take off the helmet. It's even funnier because
in the cutscene it shows you without the helmet
and it looks sweet as fuck, but yeah there's no way to use it without it. Making it go in my stockpile.

Let's wait for hide helmet mod.

I'll make you a quick setting with only AA + AO used. Don't use the broken .dll. It messes around with certain shadows.

Sweet, thanks a bunch!

Transferred my save from PS3 to PC. Now it seems there is one piece of equipment my pawn can't use without the game crashing. It's called the Curse King Belt. Will have to find a suitable replacement.

Was really enjoying my time with this until I noticed that there is a item weight limit. I hate having to manage that kind of thing. It's what turned me off of Fallout and Skyrim.

mod it out. people will tell you not to because of the chance to exploit curatives, but still do it. it's what true freedom feels like

I am tempted to get rid of GDST/END for for this game.

Freaking load times man! It is almost GTAV style.

Without it, I get 4 second loads lol.

With it...20 seconds or more =S

I hear the screenshot feature works pretty well (^^) j/k

The game loads stupendously fast and scales very well on SSDs compared to mechanical drives. Unfortunately, touching critical code (such as data I/O) that's fundamental to all aspects of the game is probably out of the question as it may introduce new bugs.

Ah that's understandable, I wasn't sure if maybe that might be a simple fix. I'll just look it up on a youtube let's play later :)

How hard is hard mode? I only played it on my PS3 with normal and had a rough time with those freaking bandits in the beginning, but after that everythin was somewhat manageable, except for bosses.

I've seen a few people mentioning they feel weak as a Ranger while browsing through some pages. A good damage boost that's easy to overlook is make sure to stock up on arrows of various types in town, the lady to the left of the weapon/enhance merchant sells them. They're (mostly) very cheap and are super useful. Blasting Arrows are incredibly heavy so I offload those to my pawn and just keep around 5 on me at all times. If you want to really mess people up try a combo of
Meteor Shot and a blasting arrow to the head. Obliterates enemies from far away.

How do you "use" an arrow? Do you buy it and as long as it's in your inventory it will be used, or what?

It'll be in your tool section and after you select it you'll have the option to use it. You'll shoot that arrow type until you deselect it or run out of that type. Once you run out you go back to regular arrows.

Do I really have to run all the way back past the Encampment to complete A Troublesome Tome? Really?

dude, how about u read what items you have, your inability to read anything in this game is infuriating to me. o_O

people already told you you have portalstones and a eternal ferrystone that you can use endlessly, with cardiss and gran soren already havuing fixed portalstones.
if you play an rpg, how about you read what is told to you ingame...

i don't get it. if you don't enjoy the game than just stop playing?

/sry for the rant, but is this really what gamers have become with all the handholding in games?!

Grand total thus far 2.43 million for this game. It's at 130,000 right now on steam.

Ninja Theory's DmC is currently Capcom's best selling PC game at 750,000.

Do you think it'll surpass DmC?

i also doubt it (but i wish it would)
dragons dogma is still a nichetitle and a port of a 4 year old game.

I went from barely like 5K of the pawn points (RC or w/e) to like 120K+ lol

One guy kept using my Triss all of the time cause she came back from him with a LOT of points.

Man, I am super enjoying this game. Just finished excepting the hydra head and got to the first big town. I'm a biiiiit overwhelmed with the space around me at the moment, but I'm excited. Any suggestions for grinding some levels and vocation skills at this point?

According to wikipedia, in the United States the game sold 92,000 copies within five days (for the original release.) So this is beating that, which is a good sign. It should hopefully have decent legs and reach a good number of sales. I'm not sure what is considered good to Capcom though.

I was considering removing one of my port crystal locations to put one in Bloodwater Beach, but reading in the wiki there's no reason to go there for any other major quest outside of escort quests. And the location doesn't have any loot I care for.

I'll keep the ones I have right now. It's kind of pointless to keep one at the exit of the witchwood, but the at the same time I have no other way to get up there without it outside of going ALL THE WAY around back to the entrance.
