Sweet Baby is awful but people shouldn't think that if they disappear it is somehow going to fix the writing in modern games. Most western devs are plenty woke enough as it is without Sweet Baby around. I think they just use Sweet Baby as consultants for writing black characters or minorities, because god forbid a white person should write a black person, right. That's a big no-no in these weirdos' world. They're just another symptom of a much larger problem.

On one hand I'm saddened that gaming is now a battleground for lame-ass slacktivist vs slacktivist fights...

On the other Sweet Baby Inc basically seems to be a consultancy offering services like "sensitivity reading" to the games industry. Which basically says to me they deserve all the flak they receive.

The "inclusivity" they are selling is just a political doctrine, which is inarguably bad irrespective of whether you believe in their values or not. I mean, if you find this acceptable would you feel the same about the polar opposite politics being pushed? Say, a consultancy pushing pro-life Christian conservatism Moral Majority-style?

Even if I was to be completely impartial, and say OK to both things, I'd still have pause to consider whether the betterment of the gaming space involves every product being politically affiliated... and come out with a resounding NO. THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING.
