This game looks really good. I just want it to finally come out.

Diablos said:I know that was the case initially, but now I'm hearing stuff about a FFXIII Asia release for 360, so perhaps it's everywhere now?

Rpgmonkey said:According to Square Enix, the 360 version hasn't delayed anything. After the PS3 version (JPN) is done, another team will handle the 360 version, and localization will take place alongside that. Apparently work on the 360 version hasn't begun yet, and isn't a primary concern until the game is finished.

Hope it doesn't take too long to port... at the same time I am trying not to get too hyped.

...Or something like that.

Ugh.. over a year.

B.K. said:Maybe it won't take that long. Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remenant had near simultaneous releases and Star Ocean 4 is coming to America a month after the Japanese version. Maybe they'll release Final Fantasy XIII as soon as possible too.
Kagari said:DQ9 is already confirmed for March. So that leaves FFXIII probably releasing in Fall 2009...
Kyoufu said:If FFXIII is out in 2009 over in Japan, where does that leave DQIX? They won't release both in the same fiscal year.
I'm not sure which one we'll see first.

I've wondered for a while if Dissidia was at some point intended to be a part of Fabula Nova Crystalis in some sense, or if at least its ideas came from similar places (in the same way that Edea was originally conceived of for Final Fantasy 7, etcetera). The mythology is starting to look like it might be somewhat similar, and Dissidia as a subtitle is awfully similar in origin to Versus, Agito, and the oft-rumored Haerasis. I'm not saying it's SECRETLY A FNC GAME, just that some of the ideas going into its origin inevitably came from the same general teams of people and that it might have a good bit in common with Fabula Nova Crystalis simply out of serendipity.Die Squirrel Die said:Re: The Logos
It might just be the similarities to Cosmos from Dissidia, but I think they will represent each individuals interpretation of the central mythology.
I'm going to say that somehow the 2 people (deities?) in the XIII logo and the 2 in the Agito logo have some connection.
As for the Versus logo, their is a goddess, almost certainly the one that's been mentioned before and features in the Amano portrait used in game.

There is also a dragon. 2 theories spring to mind here. Either the Dragon correlates to the Unicorn in the XIII logo as some sort of divine animal. Or the 2 figures in the Agito logo are meant to be in conflict, opposing sides, and the Goddess/Dragon correlates to that.
Also there are the circles in each logo. The XIII one is different because it is larger, and has designs on it which could represent the Cocoon. Given that the rest of the Agito logo is coloured differently except for the circle which is exactly the same as in the Versus logo, it does suggest that they represent some common significant element.
Or I could have read way, way too much into it.
DedicationThroughLight said:I thought SE was going to try to bring other areas/decrease localization time for their futures games in the futre. So we could very well see FF13 in NA exceptionally fast once it releases in JPN?
itxaka said:It is actually. I like the older face more, it looked more ¿natural? that new chin is a bit weird

genjiZERO said:I'm not really convinced that these two pictures are different. Yeah the chin looks longer and the face less rounded on the 'new' one, but this could be an artefact of the Photoshopping job. I think there need to be a real full on colour version in order the make a proper comparison.
And let me guess: this is where they will show the battle footage Nomura promised last October.SOLDIER said:and I presume Jump Festa will be closed theater as usual?
SOLDIER said:So let me get this straight:
There's three SE events to look forward to.
Cloud Message (What is this?)
Re: Replay (DVD with trailers of the three XIII titles, but anything else?)
Jump Festa 2009 (What's the date for this?)
No doubt the DVD trailers will get put into the net, but what's Cloud Message supposed to be, and I presume Jump Festa will be closed theater as usual?

TheChillyAcademic said:See this is a difficult proposition for me. I understand enough Japanese that I would understand the story and the dialog, but I have a feeling I'll miss out on some of the subtle nuances a story heavy RPG like this will undoubtedly have.
Regardless, I'll be importing WKC, but I may need to curb my RPG lust this time![]()

Yeugh, hopefully it'll be the latter. I've already waited much too long for this game.Fourth Storm said:So either the window between the NA and Japan versions is going to be the longest in recent memory or the 360 port is going to be a rushed mess.
