There's three SE events to look forward to.
Cloud Message (What is this?)
Re: Replay (DVD with trailers of the three XIII titles, but anything else?)
Jump Festa 2009 (What's the date for this?)
No doubt the DVD trailers will get put into the net, but what's Cloud Message supposed to be, and I presume Jump Festa will be closed theater as usual?
I'm so glad UE3 will have absolutely nothing to do with FFXIII. To be honest, I don't think Japanese devs use it that well. Lost Odyssey is an exception. TLR looks nice, but there are serious framerate issues. - The company wants to build the game as unbiased to any specific market as possible
Currently only the PS3 version is in development. The Xbox 360 version will begin as soon as the PS3 version is completed
- The game will run on one Blu-ray disc
- The Xbox 360 version is not a betrayal to PS3 fans because the PS3 version is not stopped or moved
- Right now the game is designed specifically for PS3, the team will worry about how to optimize the game on 360 when it's done
- Scenario of the game is finished, the "Art assets" are 80% completed
- All the FFXIII games have different directors, but they are all based on the Crystal Mythology and expressed in different ways
- The game is more futuristic, it is somewhere between FFX's fantasy environment and FFVII's high-tech setting
- The final product will have a lot more variety of opponents and monsters. There will be more human type opponent in cities, while more beasts & organic type opponents out of town
- The company is monitoring feedback from each trailer on the Internet, and see reactions to new trailer and images. If something receives positive or negative feedbacks they will adjust the game accordingly. "

I'll be trying out some of those Dissidia potions soon.

Actual non-scan versions of some of the Versus shots.
And looking at the XIII page there... it really makes me want them to get rid of CG all together and make all cutscenes real time![]()

Die Squirrel Die said:We simply don't know that. While IU and LR have been simultaneously translated, they are in no way the rule now for SE translations and we don't how that affected the development. It could mean that in general the script/menus/interface had to be finalised much earlier and couldn't be refined further into development. And while I haven't tried either game, the impression that I've got from videos and board posts is that neither game stands out as shining example of translation and VA. If that's the case then a similar level localisation for FFXIII would be a step down from the high standards SE achieved with DQVIII and FFXII.
Unless you have exact information as to the nature of IU and LR's development and localisation vs. FFXIII's development and localisation, then attempting to make a definitive statement about how the 360 version may have affected it is idiotic at best.
There's a dissidia thread for it if you search.KaosAngel said:The Potions just came out today. It's FF related...so I figure I'd put them here. Sorry if this is a bad post. Dunno where else to put it...
Close up of the Cosmos and Chaos cans. I hope this brings hype for Final Fantasy and all future products!
Again, sorry if this is a bad post...saw no other thread to put this, and if you want me to move it...I will ASAP.
I'll forgive them if they throw in dual VA. There's no excuse for them since Blu Ray is big enoughNinja Kn1ght said:it's such a shame that the English PS3 release is being held-up by the 360 port. RpgN said:Honestly, I'm fine with that. The localisation team will be given enough time to make a perfect job and we might get extra stuff compared to the Japanese version. I've waited for so long, if they screw anything up I'll have Wada's head!

I knew it...
They'll probably localize the english version simultaneously with the 360 port, SE should be at least capable of completing both in a similar time frame. But they ARE stopping the English version till the port is finished. D:

Sure, I can learn a few statements that would help me if I needed to find a bus stop or a vending machine, but to get to the level of comprehension probably needed to play most imports in Japanese would take quite a bit of time. Maybe you can learn in 3 months, but I can't so you'll have to excuse me.

Either way, I wouldn't be surprised to see a translation guide pop up online not long after release for those who really want to play the import.
