I haven't but I'm fine with it being used to build up tension well. There's an episode of Jojo Stardust Crusaders where they're playing a high stakes game of poker and it involves a lot of psychological intimidation. That's fine. But the thing about Jojo is that the powersets are somewhat...imaginative, so people drone on over and over about their powers and shout about how much they're gonna kill the main characters until it becomes pretty obvious that they're just trying to fill time because you know what's gonna happen. DBZ is extremely guilty of this as well.

errr... Frankenstein and robin hood were thoroughly in public domain at that point and spaceballs was a parody. the reason why those things don't infringe on copyright is because you really can't hurt the original artist by doing those things (whether they're long gone or its its own thing that can stand on its own merit)
