Well, it's good to know it's not some prime fanboy drivel with no care for the original material nor a modicum of respect for plot development.

Stop triggering me, tiddums.

Enjoy the good fights in the opening of the film coz its gets kinda weird and silly in the ones where they cram all the characters ever into it.

What you mean having a bunch of superheros sprint toward each other on an airport tarmac for some kind of street brawl turns out silly?

I'm fucking shocked tbh

Fuuuck I can't imagine troubleshooting wires covered by grease and hydraulic fluid, it sounds like a chore. I imagine there are specific fault codes that at least narrow it down some?

All the control systems in the turbines I worked on was closed up in some way so that they wouldn't get too dirty unless some idiot was too lazy to put the covers back on.

When we get a job, they'll tell us "this specific part wasn't working" or "we got this light indication", which helps narrow it down. Most of the time we troubleshoot just based on system knowledge, other times it's much more straightforward. It depends.

I kind of think of it like a mystery. You use clues to solve the case. "NOW WHICH ONE OF YOU CONPONENTS IS FUCKING UP MY PLANE???"

"this reminds me of a puzzle"

There's another ok one at the end when the number of involved characters is reduced, but the Russo's strengths aren't really when you have avengers style fights and you're legally required to show off all their powers one at a time. It's not bad, but it's not playing to the strength of the Russos.

tbh I love troubleshooting complex systems, mapping out the schematics in my head and following it down the line is weirdly fun. Multiple times I've gotten grievances filed against me by the damn union here because I just push people out of the way in order to troubleshoot a fun issue.

Our work environment is pretty clean though, thankfully. Worst I gotta deal with is SRML wiring which is that fiberglass coated stuff, shit makes you all itchy as hell.

I don't really want to know. I want my expectations to stay where they are.

Besides, I'm a sucker for crossovers so I won't care. If I liked MK Armageddon's intro with every character in the series, I can handle this

I agree with tiddums here. While I like Civil War, I think I like BvS better lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There are one thing about Civil War I do love though (spoiler)
Ant-Man (spoiler lalala)

Lol, (minor spoilers)

Especially when it's like 20 people with weird superpower sets all trying to non-lethally restrain each other. Never before has such a high CGI budget been spent on a fight with such small stakes.

Jokes aside, it's hard to dispute that Cap is a better constructed film. It's certainly got a more consistent/coherent narrative and it's not going to upset anybody with its portrayal of characters. BvS has some rough stuff, but I do enjoy it overall despite that. Cap is a lot more polished.

Saw that part of the trailer and thought there is just no way you can film a scene like that without it looking pretty dumb. I understand they want to get some iconic comic book shots but come on.

It reminded me of the damn AoU scene with all the Avengers jumping into frame like WEEEE!

You learn something new everyday

Had a dude hit on me at a gay club once by getting real close and whispering "can't wait to see your boy pussy"

Needless to say I was quite flattered.

Yeah, I don't deny that. I really like Civil War, but at time the action scenes can get really shaky (even moreso than BvS imo), and they are not even as well choreographed as Winter Soldier, except for some scenes. Kinda sucked the enjoyment out of me. And at some point I think the pacing of the film can get really odd too, but hey BvS has the same problem tho and it's not that big of a deal like the shaky cam fightings.

My favorite system to troubleshoot is either landing gear or fire detection / extinguishing. Landing gear because you get to raise and lower the gear and fire systems I understand it well.

Yeah t/s is a lot of fun. I love troubleshooting my transmitter and microwave systems.

Environmental and pneumatic faults I hate though because they are so messy. I hate getting covered. Gun jams are the worst though just because I am always worried about breaching a casing or doing real damage to the gun.

Incidentally I smelled the worst pussy ever this morning. This girl dropped her pants and it was like ammonia and wet dog and bad fish. I wanted to wretch. One of the few times I have had hygiene chats with junior sailors

I have one assignment left to do for this one class and it's due today but I'm also at work and have a bunch of things to do. What wins work or school?

In this particular instance I'm going with work. Just because of how tedious this assignment would be. It's only worth 40 points so YOLO ain't gonna do it :)

This is my fight song

I rarely lose my keys or my wallet. *knocks on wood

I always keep my wallet in the same place, and I always keep it in the same pocket. My keys have a clip and I always carry them like a janitor.

I'm one of those #EDC kinda people though.

I watched Aliens Extended Edition for the first time (I think) last night.

It's so rare that an extended cut adds to a movie. In most cases, scenes that they spent time and money shooting that end up on the cutting room floor ended up there for a reason.

Ripley just came out of a 57 year long hypersleep, and the 10 year old daughter she knew -- She now learns grew old and died. She is shown a picture. She cries (her reaction felt a bit subdued for the situation, it seens like most parents would be overcome by grief, but we'll set that aside).

Very next scene she's in a debriefing talking about aliens arguing with corporate guys without any hint of grief.

Editing is important.
