Does the combat get any better later in the game? I've played for about 2 hours and I'm booored. Playing as a mage.

I played through the intro part on PS4 last month. Jaggies everywhere, slowdown for no reason, and being an archer just isn't fun when you're just pressing/holding down R2 to win.
